I am a straight female Kaidan fan who has already straight romanced him but I am willing to share him with my gay brothers out there. Hopefully in ME3 he can deflower my virgin male Shepard.
Love it!!!<3

I like to think that the hum of biotics sort of harmonize between a well-matched pair in sexy time.
Like a low hum of electricity. A slight tingle. They are eezo nodules in the nervous system, so I don't know how they couldn't impact sex.

apparently Biotics are prone to electric discharges, small ones like when you walk on carpet and then touch something made of metal etc.
they do have a heightened metabolism and get special diets when working in the military and are issued protein-rich drinks if I recall correctly, not sure if that would have an effect on their body temperature, but it seems likely to me ...
let me tweet Mac about this ... maybe not mentioning that it came up during a BioticShenko

If it turns out that you can romance him as MaleShep in ME3, though I have never done a MaleShep playthrough in either ME game, I'll create one just so I can romance Kaidan in ME3! All my Shepards love the Kaidan and support the Kaidan love!

I've always heard that body temperature of biotics is slightly higher than normal, but again, no proof. Maybe it's just Kaidan wiping the sweat animation, though.Cypher0020 wrote...

And for "if biotic have any impact on sexy time" - so far it's unclear how biotic effect stack in general, but the fact that pull + throw = very strong throw and warp + singularity/pull/slam = warp bomb makes it rather disturbing to use biotic powers in bed - who knows what partner is going to do in same moment. On another note, Mordin told me something about "Creative Use of Mass Effect Fields" recently, so who knows.
/just imagined Kaidan's cheeks colour if Mordin will give that book to him:P/

Otherwise, here is what it says about Ashley/Kaidan (except the writer spelled it "Kaiden" <_<) And I'm skipping over some to avoid some sort of copyright jazz and also because it sort of summarizes info we already know from ME1 and 2. DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT ME3 SPOILERS.
Toward the end of her day at the studio, Hale came to a scene with a character referred to as A/K. It was the most emotional scene of the day, and also one of the most technically tricky, because of the ways that players' choices in Mass Effect 1 and 2 carry over into the new sequel.
blah blah blah, story of Virmire...
...and, in Mass Effect 2, whichever of the two was saved reappears to remonstrate with him or her. The result of that conversation which can play out in various ways, determines how the character of A/K wll interact with Shepard in Mass Effect 3.The new scene involved a tense exchange between Shepard and A/K. The first line of the scene was simple enough. "Let her/him go." but Hale had to say it multiple times, with different emphases, in order to communicate every possible state of alarm with which Shepard would react to A/K.
...
Two were growly, hateful takes, and two were hard, urgent takes.
...
She was then told that her lines had to be recorded as though she were running. "I have a question," Hale said. "It's pretty emotional for Shepard here. How big do you want it?" Walters explained that he wanted Shepard to seem like more of a "real character" in this game, a character who showed "his frailty."
...
"I want Shepard's vulnerability to come out, even though not every player will choose to experience it."
...
Hale's next line was "No!" Livingstone turned to Walters and asked, "Is this a panicked 'No' or an angry 'No'?"
"It's a" -Walters hesitated- "futile 'No.'"
Hale nodded, "No!", she said, stirringly, a moment later.
"More compassion," Livingstone said. "Less heightened."
Hales tried again, and her "No!" seemed to emerge from some alarmed, half-strangled place in her throat.
Sooooo, interesting dialogue, eh? I just wonder who him/her refers to and which pronoun goes with which VS. To the VS him/herself? That would imply someone has a hold of him/her? Or is it "let go" in an emotional sense? That's what I thought originally because the article implies that Shep is speaking directly to the VS.

If I'm not mistaken, it's fanon conjecture based on the canon "biotics have a heightened metabolism" bit that biotics are generally on the warm side. Although he'd probably be somewhat warm anyway, being in a physically demanding job. As mentioned, biotics also spark static from time to time, but I suspect that would only be if they haven't touched anything else in a while and wouldn't carry over once they were touching.
In ME2, Jacob and Miranda (and possibly Jack?) get the "biotics" talk from Mordin regarding biotic sexy fun. So... *shrug?*

I like the insight into the recording of dialogue. The rest sounds like it was taken directly from my "Do Not Want" list, though.

I'm guessing the "him/her" would be either Ashley or Kaidan, yeah, and that someone - or something - has got hold of either of them. The article said that Hale delivered the lines in either a hateful or urgent tone, plus the fact that she was given directions to deliver lines as if she was running, I can't picture any other situation.
The bit that worries me most about the entire thing is the futile "No!" part.

Is Kaidan asian?(judging by his name)
It's hard to say. According to twitter, he's Russian, although according to lore, almost everybody is mixed; his mother was pregnant in Singapore and he grew up in Canada at his father's family/retirement home. Most people took "Kaidan," to be Japanese, although both "Kaidan" words I know are pronounced differently to how he pronounces his name (although it could have been "Americanized"), and "Kaidan" is allegedly a name in a couple of languages.
So... *shrug?*

I do not read the novels myself but the friends I have who do say biotics have a very high metabolism so they should be warm and need to eat constantly and they SHOULD be very thin.
I don't remember the books mentioning anything other than the high metabolism that is also in the codex, but it's been a while. Although high metabolism doesn't necessarily mean thin and it may be tied to biotic usage anyway. (That is, someone who uses biotics often burns more and thus needs to eat more; someone who never uses their biotics may be slightly hungrier than the normal soldier.)

Really interesting but while is out of contest Im thinking only about two scenarios. While A/K can be Ash/Kaidan, it could be possible that i.e this famous assasin ( forget his name) trapped Kaidan/Ash...Shepard screaming " Let him ( Kaidan) / her ( Ash) go ! " and will run to try to reach Kaidan/Ash ..No can mean that something will happen to Ash/Kaidan...or it can be scene between VS, Shepard and ME2 LI..Ash vs Miranda/ Jack? Kaidan vs Jacob/Garrus?..well, we will know for sure in March 2012Caseshep wrote...

That was my take on the situation. I immediately imagined Ashley about to shoot Miranda (Aliance loyalist versus Cerberus loyalist, anyone?) or even Jacob...
In any case, ME3 has definitely promised tons of dramatic scenes and tough choices... and I'm very excited to see how they play out!

as I said before what with the rumors that Collectors are after Biotics specifically, seeing pods of melting humans and then playing ME2 for the first time, seeing Kaidan on Horizon when it gets hit by Collectors was no fun
I expect the worst when it comes to emotional rollercoaster ride (in a good way if that makes sense) from ME3 ... this is war, I wouldn't be surprised if it ends with everyone we know being dead, sacrificing themselves to give the people of the galaxy a chance to survive
or indoctrination of friends and Shep has to pull the trigger ... or keep them alive and in suspension on the Normandy in the vain hope of being able to reverse the process at some point and all the other horror scenarios one can think of.
but jumping to conclusions based on a wee bit of info that's out of context just seems like it's not helpful and only causes ... well, panic as we saw
