I've been thinking of possible choices that will affect the way VS treats our Sheps in ME3... Hmmm... The New Yorker article says both ME1 & ME2 choices will influence that... But it kind of doesn't make sense to me, regarding ME2 choice(s). The obvious choice from ME1 influencing the different behavior would be romanced/un-romanced VS. Romanced VS kind of apologizes to Shep in the email, so it's a different situation than in case of Shep that didn't romance VS. No-romance Shep's interaction with VS ends on Horizon exchange. And here's the issue. Romanced VS sends the same, kind of 'sorry' email to Shep no matter what Shep says to him/her on Horizon. So why would there be any difference in the way VS treats Shep in ME3? Romanced VS sees the current post-Horizon situation/relationship with Shep the same way no matter what Shep said on Horizon. So in that case, why would un-romanced VS see the the relations with Shep differently depending on what Shep said on Horizon? Doesn't it mean that the only choice that will influence the behavior of VS will be whether we romanced him/her or not? Or am I missing something? Help! ;P
Maybe it's not just a matter of the romance. I figure the romance just helps our Shepards talk to LI in a different manner, much in the manner that doing a certain mission helped you talk Wrex down. And I am sure that Ash/Kaidan has been hearing about our exploits across ME2. There is also the trial to consider. If we meet them afterwords, I bet Shepard has his/her list of "crimes" read to them so everyone knows what's happened. Or being a Spectre now, what kind of intelligence have they gathered about Shep? Have the databases on the Normandy been raided? What about Admiral Hackett's report from Arrival?
I am sorry if I'm rambling, but I just mean to say that it's most likely that our LIs know about most of what we've been doing. So don't worry, at least about what choices are being considered.
My question would be what happens if you made Kaidan a Renegade?
