LOL that sounds like me and my Programming class, even though I already know how to program in Visual Basic, and C++ and Basic... and Java... but the classes kick my butt. /sigh

try teaching your parents how to use a pc, that is hard work. They question your every move, you have to speak slowly and in english.
I am the computer expert at home (software), my dad is the hardware expert, he fixes up pc and stuff. But he don't do that as his Job, he does that outside of work.

Also got some weapons and NORMANDY and stuff for my models now Shepard/Kaidan can sit on top of it yay

Oh I have one better fo ryou, I am trying to teach my dad how to use a computer from 2000 miles away.  Talk about stressful.  I threatened to start charging him for customer service calls.

Geez, I had a hard enough time teaching my mom how to update her Facebook status on her iPhone. The first step teaching her how to put her phone on speaker and switch between apps while in a call, WITHOUT hanging up on me.
It can't be that hard... Right?

Having worked in the industry for a year, yeah it can be that hard /sigh I definitely feel for you.  My dad had never used a computer before I bought him one for Christmas one year because he wanted one.  Then I got five to ten calls a day asking me how to do this, that and the other.... I even bought him Geek Squad Support for two years, because I knew being in another state would mean I would have difficulty in assisting him with it... /sigh

I just know how to get the models into 3ds and how to work with them from there ;o

the files i need them to be is mesh.ascii
The files they are currently is .FBX

I aint sure if it needs rebuilt or anything, they might just need to be exported

I can't export to that format, it's not included as standard; apparently there's a plugin for it somewhere? I don't know where though - the one link I found in my admittedly brief search was broken.
