Also, the fact that he doesn't talk to the other party involved is a little...weird. At least in ME1 both Kaidan and Liara are present...

ETA (rather than quoting yet another post): What made me feel worse than Kaidan being so accepting, though I thought it dreadfully adult of him, was the fact that I dumped dying Thane because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get back together with Kiadan.  I freaking love Thane and he was just as accepting as Kaidan was, even promising to protect him while he couldn't take care of himself.  I felt like such a ****.  I should really save more often.

lol, this is so true. Doctor on the Citadel indeed (it better not be the one who made him her pet project <_<). At dinner when he says "I understand why you cheated" I should have been able to tell him the same thing.

I agree with you about the lack of conflict, too. It would have been neat to get some awkward party banter. They did that in Dragon Age 2; some of the jealous banter, especially between Anders and Fenris was GLORIOUS. I don't care if there's a war going on, jealousy is blind and has no sense of occassion.


Callous Thought Alert : if you're going to cheat on him with anyone, Thane's the way to go. He'll be dead before you and Kaidan even hook back up.  :happy:

FFFFFFF--  I did the same thing. Yeah, that whole Shepard was a trainwreck, I felt so ****g guilty. The goddamned email you get from Thane after he's dead -- EVEN IF YOU BROKE UP WITH HIM. I felt like I was going to die of a chronic case of being a terrible human

Edit: I realise this post is in strong contrast to the Callous Thought at the end of my previous post. I should qualify both by just saying OMG DON'T CHEAT ON KAIDAN EVER unless you want to hate yourself.

If there had never been a Kaidan Thane would have been my favorite character of the series, after Shep herself, of course.  That letter absolutely stabbed me right in the gut.  Pixellated guy or not, I felt like crap after reading that.

As for Garrus, just no.  I did it once and eventually I'll import it and try his romance but he's such a close friend, such an other half for my Shep that the whole idea of sleeping with him is faintly masturbatory...and, what with the cloaca thing, a little unworkable as well.

And this is why I shouldn't post after several beers.

Actually.... you don't have to..at least not out right... if you just do Kaidan's date before Garrus's date. It's never mentioned again and he seems ok with...

 Does anyone else find it very cute that when Shepard brings Kaidan back to Normandy from Mars, she is like completely...lost? You can see she doesn't know what to do next...I thought it was so cute

Yeah I thought it was one of the more touching scenes in the early game.  It's like she can't wrap her mind around him being so badly injured.

I was just thinking about that on my last playthrough. I thought it was sweet how much she cared for him even being the one to carry him on the ship and James looked back at them. I felt the same way I was worried for Kaidan

Is it sad that before I even read the letter I had this playing in the background as I was reading along?

He mispronounces "Ilos" and "Virmire" but the emotion of Sbarge's delivery just gets me every time I listen to this.

Only strange thing is that I'm playing a ManShep, and in the letter he calls me a woman. lololz. It's okay though.

Everytime I get the email after Horizon, I go listen to that while I read it... It helps that I read the letter that way originally so Raphael's reading of it, just reinforces it.

Please say the link works as i get no image, but it is a very big iamge (just over 8mb). for around 16 pictures worth of crap i did which took a couple hours to do. I did the crappy blood work too. Now i am hungry so i am gonna have a meal and maybe do more modeling for kaidan and shepard

I am forever grateful to Raphael Sbarge for recording that. Made me so happy when I heard it on Thanksgiving 

I haven't replayed ME2 since he released that audio, so we'll see how I will feel
