Actually this makes me curious - what version of 3ds do you run? Since my 2011 can't open them either, so I've been part assuming they're in 2012 format or something and that's why I can't open them. If you have 2012 though, I guess they might just be corrupt or otherwise broken somehow ;o

Mine's 2011 too, not sure whether the Max file is a 2012 format... I just don't understand why Autodesk hasn't gotten "ignore version" support for 3D Max, Maya has this since... ages ago!

The .CHR files from DA;O can't be opened with Max too (when 3D Max supposedly support this format). Not sure why the .OBJ can't be opened too. I tried it with Max and Maya and both won't import it. As for the FBX, Max will read it but not Maya. I wonder if there's some sort of additional plugins you need to install...

EDIT: hopefully Chibi will indulge her secrets... and we'll get answers from her. I'm heading to bed now (it's late in my side of the world)...

i don't have secrets i use Xnalara to do poses for kaidan and Shepard, i have loaded .obj versions of shepard armor, casual wear and faces and heads into Blender and thats all.  I just download models (even if i have full version of me3 on pc) if i knew how to take models and export into files i want i would do so. But me i am cluelesswhen it comes to modeling, Xnalara is real easy for me to use, unless thats just cause i am a fast learner

Lol.  I love that your mom watched you play ME.  My mom would never do this--as I am pretty much a huge dork in her eyes.  Luckily she has another daughter to go shopping with her.

Also if anyone has not browsed The Mom Effect, I would highly recommend it for some lulz. Basically someone is playing ME but letting their mother make all of the decisions and documenting it. Hilarity ensues.

HAHAHA!! I'm so checking out that! I actually let my mom make some decisions for me 

She's fine with me playing anything; I turn on my Xbox and she just sits on the couch behind me (if she's home).

But sometimes (when she is in a bad mood), she starts complaining about stuff, so I just tell her "be glad I'm not a drunk junky s*** and I'm just playing video games" and she goes back to being happy lol
