I wonder if my Jackmancing Shepard would be able able to talk Jack into a threesome with Kaidan...

unless they retcon him into suddenly being polyamorous, since he was very clearly monogamous in ME1.

as for bonding -  depends on how much Jack was "softened"  current Jack is someone Kaidan would be sympathetic to, she in turn will try to seduce him and when that doesn't work, she would just right him off as too soft.  she might eventualy grow to respect his battlefield ability but I don't see them getting especialy close. I used to think they could have made a great couple, but then I thought about it some more.

edited @ Mineralica - you did nothing wrong and your shepards are lovely.

For me Kaidan and (paragon romanced) Jack are correspondingly nb.2 and nb.1 in "they won't agree on threesome" list. For Kaidan it was explained in talk where Shepard asks what they used to do in BAaT in evenings (renegade option - Shepard asks about romances, Kaidan answer he isn't the type of person who'll go for it soon. Now imagine what will happened if the person he had a long time building trust to will say "hey, I thought not only about you and me, but also you and me and X); for Jack it's explained in scene where she's rejected before SM - "I thought you're.. you're not like the rest!", cries and leaves.
For a great couple... I think the difference in emotional maturity doesn't leave any chances for that. Yes, Kaidan prefers adventurous women, but won't it be more father-daughter than man-woman?

With femShep, absolutely. But in a world without femShep, where Kaidan's broShep is getting it on with a sexually open-minded biotic hottie who wants to share the love, maaaaybe....?

I agree with this. "Softened" Jack is someone that Kaidan could get along with--in fact, I think that they'd have the potential to get along really well. But "hard" Jack who instantly distrusts men in power would definitely make advances on Spectre!Kaidan, and Kaidan wouldn't respond well to that at all.

Re: Kaidan and Jack... Kaidan is similar enough to Paragon-Shep that I think they'd share a similar relationship path. If neither were involved with Shepard, I could see it as being romantic as opposed to platonic. If it were friendship, the only thing I could see as a sticking point would be if Jack fell in love with him, but he weren't wholly interested (which is, as I understand it, a problem for Paragon MaleSheps as well).

But that goes for most of the romancable squadmates, since Shepards can be vastly different, you could make an argument for pairing many or most of them off together if Shepard isn't involved with them. *shrug*

I apologize, I meant that Jack will (according to folks who try to avoid romancing her) get pissy if you're nice to her but don't want to love her back (which I could see being a problem with Kaidan).  I didn't mean Kaidan not loving MaleSheps back.
