Killing Allers was offset by all the sad of Kaidan being trapped a a billion miles away instead of in Vancouver having beers over English Bay.

If you're trying to do that, than not recruting Javik, killing Kaidan, Tali & Garrus is a must IMO. Then you're left with just Liara, EDI and Vega and you can maximize the chance she will appear

My thoughts on both accounts. It's so silly not to know. I was planning on not recruiting javik already. It actually works though by not talking to him at all after the Eden Prime mission. I've been able to tweak who comes out just by not talking to anyone but that character so far. Heard about EDI coming out of the Normandy in Destroy and wanted to try that out. It looks like you can talk to your LI since they come out anyway.

Does Kaidan still come out of the Normandy if you send him to Hackett?

Doh, just did the platoon mission last night, but my plan next was Genophage, Citadel, Bomb so I can get Kaidan to the bomb. Won't take Garrus if he steals lines He's been there twice before, time to wait this one out G. Then I can go get Javik with a Shep who did ME1 and romanced Kaidan so I am hoping for a bit more dialog - last pt was with a Genesis shep and Kaidan had nothing to say on Eden Prime at all.

I am growing to like Javik more over time - he spawned a splendid meme. I keep wanting to throw things out of an airlock.

You're very welcome! It was going to happen later in the story but that meant that she would be stuck on a stranded Normandy with Kaidan and we all know what she's like. So sadly she didn't make it.

I think Javik is really funny. I took Kaidan on the mission to get him but I was expecting more dialogue than we got. Ah well.

 how exactly is it that you kill allers.
i AM still trying to finish me2 without getting bored (so boring without Kaidan). So far done collector base, illusive man sent the signal not the turians. Helped Kasumi (now i got a cool dress, gotta make sure not to wear in cutscenes where shepard sits down), now gonna help samara.

Hmmm, I'll have to try getting Kaidan to come to the Turian rescue mission and the Bomb mission on mext time through. I've been too afraid I'll screw up and detonate the bomb by accident before, but if it cane be done and I can still have Kaidan come alone ... He's gotten to come to the Rachni mission several times with me by now.

And through it all, I still haven't been able to get him to ask me to wake him up.

I don't see Shep as the marrying kind, though she would if it was really important to Kaidan. If he was going to get my Sheps anything of precious metal it would be matching sets of mini dog tags, one with his name for her and one with her name for him. The metal would be precious because it came from the SR-1.

Javik has upgraded my preferred methoc for disposing of unwanted guests/items. I spent most of ME2 wanting to shoot things out the trash compactor...like Zaeed.

How much you talked to them
How many times you took them on mission
Your LI will always come out

well, thats what i've heard...

i took Kaidan and Garrus pretty much everywhere....and only took Javik once, maybe twice... guess who's the last to pop out of the hatch after Joker and Kaidan:bandit:
