well, thats what i've heard...

i think it's supposed to work that way, but doesn't always..

i took Kaidan and Garrus pretty much everywhere....and only took Javik once, maybe twice... guess who's the last to pop out of the hatch after Joker and Kaidan:bandit:

No way.  I love Zaeed!  He was the man.  They should've have made him a full character with onboard conversations instead of DLC.  Come to think of it Kasumi was pretty cool too.  ME2 hit it out of the park with DLC.  Except Firewalker, which was lame.  Let's hope ME3 pulls it's weight here (I'm looking at you, Extended Cut).

I'm guessing certain characters have preference. Namely Javik. I had to not talk to him at all  for him to not show up on the crash scene. But you can recruit him, or at least do the Eden Prime mission I mean. To stop him from showing up I just did the mission and never even spoke to him after that.

He is hilarious though. He adds a lot to the game. I love taking him to Thessia.

I agree, both Zaeed and Kasumi should have been full characters and firewalker was meh....freaking glass transport.

re: Firewalker - 90% lame, but 10% of it gave me my fanfic plot. I may release something this week

well even deployed landing gear will fail if loss of power and crashing is involved

yeah, not sure i could do that...i like talking to everyone, even if they're a pill most of the time lol. I wish we could take Javik, instead of Liara , with Kaidan to Thessia.

I would eye EC suspiciously too, but From Ashes was a perfect example of DLC squadmate, fixed all our complaints about Zaeed & Kasumi so that actually makes me less woried about EC

I love Kasumi and would be more than happy to see her join us on the Normandy. But your intro to Zaeed is him pistol-whipping an unarmed man in the hallway and all of his stories seem to end "and I was the only one that survived". Then there's that factory full of civilians he sets on fire. He redeemed himself a lot in his brief ME3 appearance but I still don't trust him.

Okay, I agree. That looks pretty bad. But how cool was the explosion he set off?

Well Zevran tried to kill my warden, but that turned out alright. Zaeed was totally badass. I love it when Joker says "he's like you but he takes checks." Not because my Shepard would set a factory with workers inside on fire (well, one of them would), but because he is one of the only characters who rivals Shepard in crazy. He goes up against ridiculous odds and somehow manages to survive. He got shot in the face and lived to tell about it. He has a funny accent! Seriously, though, it seems like most of the ME characters are on the paragon track. Garrus has a wild streak, but he's a good guy. Wrex will challenge you, but for what he thinks are the right reasons. ME2 Jack was one of my favorites because she was crazy and just didn't give a **** (and that totally changed in ME3). Zaeed has turned that formula into a viable means of living. He'll get his hands dirty for a price, not because he's evil, but because it's good business.

I also headcannon that Kaidan would be best friends with him (even though Zaeed was pretty pissed that my Shepard was upset after Horizon). I can totally put Zaeed in the middle of the poker game with Kaidan and Vega. C'mon, how cool would that be?

Okay, I'll stop talking about Zaeed now.

@ leborum  I totally get what you're saying and i think so too ( in that he better's himself a by 3, but my sheps wouldn't be best friends with him).. if someone stole my life and shot me in the face and left me for dead... i'd be a lil hellbent on revenge and at the time may be willing to let a few worker die...well maybe/maybe not. But he does grow on ya and the poker game would be heaps of fun 

oh and the story comparing between vega, garrus, and zaeed would be epic:lol:

According to the ME2 Codex, Normandy SR2 isn't able to land directly on every world the way Normandy SR1 did due to its higher mass.  It can obviously dock in ports, and it seems to be able to land on Earth to pick up Shep, but I think the implication is that lower mass or lower density worlds are a problem for SR2.

Now back to your regularly scheduled Kaidan

LOL, you and I see him completely differently. Shep is insane, no doubt about that, but shehates mercenaries. They're criminals, violent for the sake of it rather then for a loftier goal. They play both sides against the middle for their own selfish ends.

Shep gives everything to save people, including her own life, no matter how much of an ass she is while doing it. And I can't see Kaidan having any love for a man with no loyalties but to himself.

My Wardens are a lot more desperate than my Shepards. They'll take Zev and then get to know him. Everything Shep sees of Zaeed is a negative, to me. The only reason he comes with you is to get paid and to use you to exact revenge which he screws up anyway.

Wow, I really don't like him, do I? I never really wrote it all out before.

Done!  And they could do so much with ME3 DLCs, like one about Shepard's background (I wanted to see my spacer mom), about Omega and people from past games (Gianna DLC), and of course, Kaidan!

Oh guys lovely people, something funny happend in my brothers ME2 suicide mission, so at the end when "some character" says their taking a beating and head to the normandy i saw Leigon like run for 2 metres and get shot and fall (i was like NOOO LEGION ).. he was annoyed that he thought he wouldn't get the 75 gamerscore... oh and then it turns out Legion was alive and well... he "fell" to fool the enemy before they got blown to smithereens
