This afternoon's Kaidan cuteness:

I was starting my canon femShep over again and just finishing up Mars, the part where James crashes the shuttle and Eva mangles Kaidan.

My 19-month-old son decides that he's fascinated by the cut scene, so this is how it went down.

James crashes his shuttle into Eva's.

my son: Wow!

Dr. Eva comes out and picks up Kaidan and proceeds to smash him against the shuttle.

my son: Oh, my!

We proceed to shoot Eva and pick up Kaidan to haul him on board ship. Then we drop his battered body on the stretcher.

my son: Oh, no! (and when he says 'oh, no' he sounds so dire and serious)

It really could not have been scripted any better. He had all the right things to say and all the right tones. It was so cute.

So I just finished a playthrough where I only had EDI, James and Liara as squadmates all
the way trying to get EDI to walk out the ship in the destroy ending.

I sent Kaidan to Hackett cos I couldn’t kill him. Took EDI and Liara on every mission and only talked to EDI in the ship after each mission.

So the ending plays Liara walks out the ship first as I expected.  So I’m thinking it’s probably gonna be James and the EDI thing ain’t true and then



and he looks as confused as I was wondering what he doing there (not that I minded of course )
 
I guess Joker had to make a pickup first before trying to outrun the red light.

Wow, that's both sad and hilarious. I had thought sending Kaidan to work with Hackett would be a bitter but effective way to spare him the ending, but apparently even he has to suffer the plothole!wormhole.

You'll probably get interrupted for this one (I think it's only supposed to let you do two, although some people apparently got to do more than that).

It works slightly differently for players who still have missions than for those who run out of missions (it's really awkward when you run out of missions, because you still have to load everyone up on the shuttle but there's actually nowhere for you to go).

I always do it so that there are no missions left (you have to sneak to the elevator to activate Legion and get his loyalty mission, though, and then it will let you do his mission first and the IFF will be ready right after that).

No I played through without a LI, although Kaidan was the LI in ME1 so i dunno if thats what made it happen.

Even still, to pick Kaidan over somebody who's supposed to be on the ship is pretty lame (poor James). I think somebody said they even saw Javik come out without having done the Eden Prime mission.

I would try not letting EDI hook up with Joker (basically always choose the bottom response when talking to them). Kill Kaidan for real this time, and let Tali die (or if she's already dead from ME2). Don't romance anybody.

Steve and Sam shouldn't be possible without romance, so it should be Liara, James, and EDI (unless Javik decides to troll you by spontaneously appearing). If you never talk to Liara and James, hopefully EDI would come out (just never take James anywhere).

I think it is legitimate (there have been enough people who mentioned seeing it happen), but it could be some precise combination of dialogue responses and/or choices throughout the game (I still say it's a bug, even though BioWare insists everything that happens is supposed to happen).

Kaidan came out second though, right? First spot is the LI's spot. That is the weirdest thing I've heard about the crash scene. Now all we need is one where Shepard pops out. 

I think that's a good idea about Joker and EDI. Everybody who's trying to get EDI out of the Destroy crash scene, have you always gotten her and Joker together? I know I always do.

Do any of you guys have any experience with Archive Of Our Own for hosting fanfics? I've had an account there forever but never actually used it, because when I signed up I chickened out of posting my fic. >.< Now that I care less about what random people on the internet think (of course except you lovely people ) I've been looking at it again...

The appealing thing about it is it seems a lot easier to upload to... I find FFN to be an unnecessarily convoluted process to upload/edit/managed stories. And Archive does look a little slicker... I'm just not sure if it's as well organised. Seems to rely more on tagging than categorising?

I don't know. This whole thing is Dutch to me.
