as far as custom mShep/Kaidan is concerned:
I stumbled upon a method by accident and in hindsight it's so ridiculously easy that I couldn't imagine it hadn't been found before. So, I didn't want to announce it like a big thing if it had been done already and I simply was unaware of it
I wanted to do a NG+ with my transgendered Shepard and I should have been suspicious when they addressed Shepard as a dude when talking about him in the beginning. However, I played through Eden Prime and then saved Ashley, not Kaidan
so, it got me thinking that the game imports your gender flag the way it is set at the end, not what you originally set out and I went ahead and tested it by reloading the last save-game I had, swapped him back to Jane and concluded the game as such, then I was able to do NG+ on that game and then proceed as you'd usually do by resetting the gender flag to 0 for male.
And *that* got me thinking that if I use a custom male Shepard, switch his gender flag to 1 at the end, bear his mutilated appearance (custom male head on female body) for a few moments at the end of the game and the beginning of the NG+, I should be able to use this 'female' Shepard and get a custom mShep/Kaidan romance ...
and so far it works:
I'll rush through the game to see if there are problems, but in theory it should work the same as if you normally changed the gender flag I guess ... I might have also explained it more complicated than it is ... really, once you know the normal proceedure it's pretty easy.
If all works out, I'll try to put it together in a decent way

Yup. I was hopeful that putting him in that initial screenshot meant that Kaidan would get more coverage in marketing this time around, but I should have known. Ashley would have been awesome to see in combat, too.
Well, there's more to come, and I can still have hope for the FemShep trailer.

I don't mind that it was Liara and Garrus again as much as I think it was just a terrible trailer in general ...
if that was tailored towards german audiences, I'm emigrating elsewhere, obviously I have lost touch with the rest here in this country

Why did you think it was terrible? It could have been better I guess, but I think it was tailored to most people who just want to see some ACTION.

You guys might burn down my house of this but I'm hoping we won't see much more revealed. I spoiled myself and found out that Archangel was Garrus before the game was released. I don't want to do that again. I hoping that when we see Ashley/Kaidan aboard the Normandy in the ME3 demo they showed isn't the first time we see them. I want to be surprised to see Kaidan as well as the rest of the crew.
However I won't mind seeing what they look like: different armors, causal outfits, etc. Just don't tell me when and where they are going to pop up at.

^Agreed. I'd rather bear the wait (and the lack of reveal) if it means that they'll give Kaidan justice in the game.
And that I'll be able to romance him with/as maleShep as well.

I agree with this 100%. As much as I want to see Kaidan... I would prefer to see him in action when I'm playing the game and not from promo gameplay/trailers... whatever you wanna call them. I stayed away from most ME2 related trailers (that nearly killed me)... so Im trying to do the same thing here (dying day by day). Bioware spoiler a sh*t ton of info in the ME2 trailer/gameplay (and already I feel like they've spoiled a lot in the ME3 trailers), so I was glad I didn't watch much of the ME2 stuff. Garrus came to me as a surprise and so did Kaidan at the beginning... and for sure I thought Kaidan was gonna get captured and I'll have to rescue him from the Collectors on Horizon. Damn... I was so wrong. :/

well it said 'reveal 1' and I guess for something about squadleader Shepard it was doing what it set out to do ... but I just don't like that kind of comments & commands during battle *shrug* at least not with the overdose that trailer provided

Some polished screen shots wouldn't hurt, tho. But we've got what? 6 months left? Oh, no, more like....7 months. We're on rations. Not enuf to satisfy, but just enuf to keep us from cannibalizing. (almost).
Oh, Liara. What that Atlas did was...crunchy. Made me say, "Ooohhh." I swear, I don't know how I'm supposed to take out the guy w/out destroying the Atlas so I can use it myself. He's going around crunching my squad mates.

Guys, I have to admit, I am quite the opposite: I love being spoiled to a degree. It really gives me something to look forward to. Honestly, I could be disappointed with a reveal but I would still play because I want to see this through to the end. I know I am definitely in the minority, but hey....

I'm a total spoiler junkie too, but I guess Bioware heard the complaints they've gotten in the past about telling us too much too soon. March is still pretty far away, so I'd be okay with not knowing too much until January or so.
I do want to *see* Kaidan, at least in combat, and Ashley in her combat armor. That would be enough for me, at least for now.

Actually I think you're in the majority. For me it's like a battle. I wanna know/but I don't wanna know. Closer it gets to launch, the more the more stealthily I'm going to have to creep thru the forums trying to avoid a spoiler headshot....lol. (although, I have to peek...I can't help it.)
