I prefer building systems myself when possible, makes it a more personal thing I guess, like this isn't just my computer it's my little dear or something. Still trying to decide on a name for this one (It's almost awkward how often "Normandy" has come up as a suggestion, both from me and others. I'm resisting it but... gah. x_x).

Of course... when you get problems like these it's kind of really bothersome.

I'm with you - I have laptops for when I travel, but my gaming machine is always a monster tower that I put together myself, complete with swearing and scratched knuckles and excess screws.

I name all my machines too... someone said it was a female thing. Aside from Kitt, and Hal, I currently have Vala (Mal Doran) Sonja (the laptop is red), Ninjato (because the mac air is like a blade of aluminium), and the big one under the desk is Cylon. I think I'll have to get an EDI at some point, though she was more crazy when she was the AI on Luna (and Luna's a good short name). Oh I also have a Reg (is an octopus - he can do *8 things at once*) because he has 8 cores... (/me looks for anyone else who was a Teletext addict in the UK back in the '80s for that reference... and also now feels old)

Currently (back on topic) editing the letter to Cathleen into a nicer format, will post links for review when I have something that looks nice and shows off all your contributions :)

Yeah, you've got us beat. We each have our separate home built gaming rigs. Then, my husband runs his with two monitors; the big monitor runs his games and the smaller side monitor is for internet and other stuff while he's gaming. Then his company gives him a laptop so he can boot up and do work from pretty much anywhere, including home, so he often has that running in front of his two monitors because his company is multi-national and other companies run on different time-zones. But I just have the one with one monitor.

Lol, what did we do before computers and the internet again?

Ha! When we lived in our apartment, lightning struck right outside our window. We had out comps unplugged, but it still surged into our cable modem and fried our ethernet cards and stuff. It was over a week with no Internet ...

Oh, my gawd!!!!!! It was so long ....

I haven't been here in a while and see I missed over 50 pages, that should be fun playing catch up :P

Saw Mr. Sbarge's tweet and can I say "Hellz yay!" I was actually expecting some mute stuff, so I'm pleasantly surprised. Looks like he got released from the basement ;)

Updated my story. This took forever to write, even though it's not that long. Shenko and fluff, to make up for the lack of it in the last few stories.

Timeline is a bit off, I know. But it works better this way, I think

Raphael Sbarge Interview Pretty interesting interview if you watch Once upon a time

Quote:
Lastly, one of the most popular questions on our site is will Archie
get a love interest in the future, “I have been hearing this question
more and more. A love interest is going to be very interesting.” Yet
who could it be; someone we have already met or someone new? “I would
imagine that it would be someone new” he replies. “A new stranger come
to town, perhaps. With a past. And, a mysterious cross section,
intersection to our story. Gosh, they do that so well, don’t they!”

I know who they can get for LI: Little Bo Peep!

Alas, this is 2012 - no doubt PETA would step in before Bo utters her first line of dialogue and demand better treatment of the sheep.  Image IPB

Heh, we did that even after computers, and hubby and I are working on our gaming system for potential e-publish. He's always been a comic junkie, and he got me hooked on supers gaming, but none of the systems we tried gave us quite the mix of abilities and free-form we were looking for, so in the end, we started making our own.

The dice are still big in this house. Image IPB

I have a question: the first time Shepard visits Kaidan, why does he say it is a good think she missed snack time?

I was just wondering..

Hospital food is notoriously bad, even in the future, I guess.

Also The Avengers is notoriously AWESOMEOMFG.

Maybe because he had to be spoonfed and he would be embarrassed for Shepard to see it? That's my impression, heh :P

There's been a running joke for years that hospital food tastes terrible.

EDIT:  @Kolotosa - I definitely want to see it but pretty much all of the opening weekend's showings were sold out weeks ago. I'll see it once it becomes less crowded.

I thought that was the case, but...it seemed a little...weird. I don't know. I was just wondering.

But anyways, I am going to see the Avengers tomorrow. Can't wait

I love RDJ, but I've always had a giant crush on Mark Ruffalo so to see the two of them playing off one another was just....argh. So awesome.

Ah, the joys of hospital food.

Fortunately, Avengers was MUCH better. Excellent. Totally recommend. :D

Does anyone happen to remember a fanfiction that had mshep and Kaidan, where Kaidan finds mshep (not knowing that he's Shepard) working in a pet store a few years after the war has ended? It was a good fic but unfinished and I didn't keep a link to it. Hoping that it's now finished or at least has a few more chapters.

Four Years Later

That the one?

Just finished up with that story (although it's still a WIP) and wow is it getting good!  I love ME fanfics that have mystery laced in and this one just keeps me guessing.

I was playing ME1 and I remembered why I hate gameplay in ME1: Mako. I hate that thing...I stopped trying to shoot at geth while on it. I just run over them.

I guess I only replay ME1 because of Kaidan now

I'm sure that between us we can come up with a comprehensive extension plan. Image IPB

Edit: Do you think we could make room for Hugh Jackman while we're at it?

I hated trying to shoot geth anything with the Mako until I realised the left Shift key would zoom way the hell in so I could actually, you know, target.   At that point I would just fire the armatures down to a sliver of health and then get ouf and finish them off on foot for the massive XP boost.

All the same, there's a speciall place in Hell for the Mako, and it'll be neighbours for eternity with Collectors, Reapers and TIM.

As a fellow Australian, I think we have an "in" with Hugh. I'll just set up an esky full of beer and a BBQ down there.

I usually run them over once, then get out and take them down on foot--because my squad mates are much more reliable than the Mako's guns.  Also, a fiery death in the Mako is just a terrible way to go.
