Does anyone else have issues with romancing any character besides Kaidan?

I'm on my Garrus playthrough of ME3 and it's so difficult to not want to romance Kaidan. Haha

Totally.

The only exception for me would be my pure renegade; if Vega had been an option I could totally have seen her ditching Kaidan for some shallow fling with them. And frankly, that would have been in Kaidan's interests. She was such a ****, I just can't see what Kaidan would find in her to love anyway.

OK just to verify my information, I'm chatting with someone on Tumblr, there is no way to get Kaidan for the Genophage mission short of editing the files correct?

As far as I know, that's correct. The Genophage mission triggers the Coup, and you can't get Kaidan before the Coup unless you used Gibbed.

One M!Shep playthrough had me romancing Steve just to say I did. But I gotta tell ya, Kaidan's romance story line is so much more detailed. I mean, come on - saying goodbye to Steve via holovideo?  Image IPB

Makes you wonder if the "ME3 was rushed by EA/BioWare/Elvis/Bigfoot/Whatever" theory has some truth to it.

Sorry for possible double post, but could someone help me out here with a question?

I mentioned that I bought the ME trilogy for my friend a few days ago, and I just got ME1 in the mail (PC Disc version). Except, Amazon failed to tell me that I purchased the UK version and not the US version. Will that cause any issues, installing and playing? She's got a Windows 7 64 bit laptop with an AMD Processor and graphics card, which I ensured could handle the series technically before purchasing, but that shouldn't be an issue with a different region format should it? Will she still be able to import saves to ME2 and ME3 (US versions) from the UK ME1, does anyone know?

I swear, if *I* was Shepard I would have lost it many times in ME2... but the Shepard I play is nice to everyone. One of the reasons why I like Kaidan so much is that Shepard doesn't have to solve his problems

Well never been in that situation, but I don't think it should be a problem.  I would contact Support and just ask them to be sure, that way you can yell at Amazon or not and keep or exchange as needed.

Does it have an orange cover, say EA Value Games and have the number "12" in a circle on the lower left of the front cover? If so, that's the same one I have and no, I've never experienced any problems running it (I"m in Florida).

Shouldn't be an issue. Region issues come in when it's a film, but not for a game. Some games are region locked on xbox, they are really really locked on the Wii, but PC games are usually safe. Most language options assume that UK and US English differences are so slight that it makes no difference.

(me 2 years ago: Of course, they are WRONG. It's coloUr, tomaaaahto, and we use -ise instead of your American -ize...)

(me now: yeah I don't much care how you spell it, just be consistent mmkay, oh yeah and I now order tomayto and waader in restaurants because otherwise they have NO CLUE what I'm saying)

Yup, that's the one. Whew, thanks!
I feel like I should say something to Amazon, though, because nowhere on the page does it ever say it's the UK version. And I bought it brand new, still sealed. Not like it's a huge deal if it works the same, but still.

If there's any issue with regional versions on PC games, it typically comes down to two things: games that are specifically region-locked through online activation and ip addresses, and some regions needing region-specific patches due to language support or minor differences between files such as the executable.

None of these are the case in Mass Effect as far as I know, so it should be no issue. Any operational quirks are more likely to come out of Mass Effect itself than its region.

lol, yep, I may play at pretending to be American from time to time, but I'm stuck with my British accent and I still drive my US friends crazy with my apologising and being polite. I've only been here 2 years but I think I'm stuck with it. I do prefer living here though - I get a house with a large garden (they call it a yard), and I have no adjoining neighbours for the first time since I lived at home.

On the other hand, I can't believe my son has to learn the INSANE measuring system of inches, feet and all that crap. I will have to do extra home practice on the metric system. Seriously, America, it's 2012.

I really hate that I have to convert anything that has inch, feet etc into metric system
sometime I gave up and just use unit converter from my phone

Hey that works both ways, I have to go digging for a converter anytime I have to change something from the American system to metric.
