So, I started on a...thing.... which is why I didn't sleep well last night, my brain wouldn't shut up about it... I probably shouldn't even mention it because if it doesn't work out, I mean, awkward, but I just described it to the boymonster as

"Forrest Gump meets Pearl Harbour meets Voices of a Distant Star meets Grey's Anatomy. Meets Mass Effect."

My brain scares me. But if it works out, Kaidan gets to be a biggoddamnhero. So hey... that's worth fighting for, right? XD

I wish I could quote posts on my phone. I'm really happy that Wired article finally showed up so you could read it! It was nice to have an excuse like "I'm working on my problem solving skills" if I should get busted writing fanfic at work (a second time). Now I've got documentation.

It's lovely to see so many goodies for my morning catch up period. As ever you ladies and gents have been busy!

I have to admit, the whole Horizon thing doesn't make much sense to me. How does the VS not get taken? I mean, not that I'm exactly complaining but seriously, Kaidan is the first one stung by the Seeker swarms. He's right out there, plain as day. Lillith doesn't get far before she's frozen too. The other colonists in the area are apparently packed up and taken, but they leave Kaidan?

Did they sense his angst and go "Oh man, this will really ****** Shepard off TEE-HEE!" or something? Or were they afraid his sexiness would disable their guidance systems and put them on a crash course to Planet Pleasure? I don't get it.

By the same token, why is he the only one up and walking around when you leave? I tend to picture him lying in a pod that just didn't get closed. The lazy Collector grunts who carry them into the ship think, "That one isn't ready. Oh, well, not my job." Then they shrug their insectile shoulders and move on to the next one...containing Lilith.

or maybe its plot armor
or he already use barrier so the duration effect of the sting is reduced
have a smiling Kaidan
