For me it's because the bulk isn't from the plating. That's just pure Kaidan, baby.

I'm the opposite: I like to believe that all that extra bulk they gave him is just plating and he's still the un-steroided Kaidan I used to know.    I'm too lazy to love a muscle guy.  For Kaidan, I'll make an exception, sure, but I think they went overboard.

That's the old version of the image,  I cleaned it up more since, fixed a few anatomy issues, still not perfect but it never will be so I look forward to doing more (hopefully happier kaidan/shep art at some point in the future).  I actually had Raphael sign a copy of this piece too, he said he was so glad Bioware decided to finally make include s/s romance options, which was definitely cool to hear since most of his interviews are in regards to femshep (which makes perfect sense considering that's Kaidan's biggest fan base and he's straight).

And you only showed us the stock photo?

I'm not even lying when I say that the first thing in my head when you showed what you had him sign was Y HE NO SIGN UR OWN PICTURE? WHY?!?! ;-)

Sorry for linking to the old version (or older; there's one even rougher). I really wanted the Javik fairy one, but I knew I could find yours easier, and I had to decide which one to link to. The older one was smaller, and it seemed more appropriate to direct-link to it than to bypass your deviantart page for it.

It's one of my favorites, regardless. Incredible work.

Let's hope there really will be need for a happier one in a few months. :-)
