I hate it when I have a fic in my head, and I know what happens in the middle and how it ends, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to start it /sigh

OMFG story of my whole week.

I've had middle scenes and conversations floating around and I've had to write them down so I don't forget, but then trying to actually... you know...get there. Nothing. Nadda. And then the more I thought about it today, the more the whole thing morphed into something completely else and now I don't even know WTF.

All of my fics start with a single scene somewhere in the middle.  I write what comes to mind and then I build around it.  The end usually comes early on and beginnings are the bane of my existence.  Except The Double, that one started with the first line and the end scene (which BioWare handily trashed but the whole thing is AU so I'm keeping it, damnit).  88,000 words later and I still haven't managed to connect the two.   I write chapters as ideas for them come to mind, whether they're "next" in the story or not.  My brain doesn't do linear.

If anyone is around and up for X-Box MP, I'm considering diving into the depths.  Does the galactic readiness apply only to the character you last played or is it a universal boost?

Sorry hun, that's a glitch in the system. It's supposed to be the first message that comes through at the beginning of the game.

Great. They allow such a "minor" glitches to happen, and then wonder, where people get all those ITs from.. 8P

Does not change things, still. Someone mentioned "head cannons for a head canon" here, but I'm about to complete private nuclear-armed head-fortress. "Nothing's gonna change my world"©.

Yep, my fic is exactly what happened in my head so I'm making it bomb-proof against the EC! Image IPB

Why are we all in pain suddenly?!

Help us, Kaidan-wan Alenko! You're our only hope!

He so is!  I was almost in tears earlier!  This is what happens when a person goes away, so another one comes in to cover and does things to the chair...I knew someone had changed something and felt it gradually start aching over the last week, but today it was pure agony!  Chair is now not an instrument of torture..hopefully...

Hey Kolo, how's your shoulder doing?

@Ajna, poor hun! I'm sure my car can go and deal with that person by using it's new party trick!

I'm not even going to start on my shoulder problems...it cracks and grinds and..generally hurts, I had to set an Osteopath on it at work last week who cracked my back while he was at it, that was before the lower back happened!

Ooh, a trick, I love tricks!

Shoulder is "all right". Just a dull ache mostly and occasionally when I move wrong it stabs a knife in my neck. Fun times!

It's my good shoulder that cracks and grinds!  And also my jaw. Frankly, bionic body parts can't happen soon enough. Adam Jensen me the hell up, science. My body is ready.

Lol, at least it's not constantly stabbing you - that much blood loss could be detrimental to your guest's health. Image IPB Seriously though, I'm glad it's not TOO bad today.

And no you wouldn't like my car's most recent trick. It turned into the child snatcher / baby eater. I picked it up after a service the other day, was strapping my daughter into her carseat, had the keys on the front seat, went to climb in and the car had locked itself with Sophia and my keys inside. Not a fun trick.

Oh, no! :o Yeah, that's not good.

I thought your trick was somewhere more along the lines of running people over. You know, like my driving in GTA.

Apparently there is something called "Supercon" happening in Miami in June and Michael Hogan (Cpt. Bailey) will be there and I can't go. *cries*

:o Oh noes! Hope you got her out ok! I live in Florida so that situation would be like a death trap.  My husband accidentally did that with the dog once, but luckily the engine was turned on.  Didn't stop him from freaking out though.  Yeah, we're so not ready to be parents.

Read this as "Supermom" and was really confused.

I think the idea of going to a con is great but I know that once I got there I would probably just spend the entire time miserable and pissed off and disgusted by the sights and smells.

Well being a Jeep that's what it's trick should be, especially if they run away from you offroad. The techs came out, looked at the car and said "They don't do that." which was really helpful. I asked them how to get into the car and I got "You don't." It took over 1/2 hr of trying to get a bit of wire to hit the central locking button before we got it open. The only other option was to smash in a window which I was about to do. Bloody child snatcher car. On the plus side my car is almost impossible to steal.

Someone in my family has always owned a Jeep since '95 and none of us have EVER had it do that. She is fine though, she needed lots of cuddles but she was happy and giggling again not long after.

I have never been to one, but I also have this fear.  The only time I stepped into a gaming (cards) store, all 5 of my senses were offended.

Yeah, even walking into my local GameStop is a gamble. >.< The "realist's review" that I always hear about PAX is the stench. Which is just... it's just...really gross, god, guy, takes a shower. XD

Edit: OH YAY i hoped that would be top. <_<
