Oh, really? Because however I play it, he always tells me to save the council...

That's what he told me as well, but I know he may be much less loyal to them. It depends on how you treat councilaliens during your talks, how often do you send reports etc. Looks like you may slightly change his oppinion on this subject.

He only tells you to let the council die if you renegade him.  You have to be in a relationship with him and choose specific dialogue options with him to influence him to become more xenophobic, or maybe just pro human.  Whatever.  I always thought it was a little ooc, given how strongly he sticks to his convictions throughout the rest of the series.

He's bi, and that's it

He wasn't one in ME1 - in-game based. Not in release.

Well technically, he wasn't not bi either.  And moar kaidanz for everyone in always a good thing.

If I may, yell at me if you must because this isn't Kaidan-related, but speaking of the London dialogues. If you saved both the Quarians and Geth, why isn't that Geth Prime there at the same time Tali is? I could so imagine some passive dialogue between the two about tactics and whatnot. But you only get one or the other. . . :?

Actually there was dialog with the geth on earth/ in london... Bioware just decided to cut all of it out so you'd forget you made peace between synthetic and organic life (if you did)  before god/space/kid thing. The audio is floating around on youtube and it's awesome and touching... hearing the geth fight along side humans and the other races... and dying :crying:

edit- found one youtu.be/uwIbvWC7qh0  added- ok so there's not much of them dying on that one, but it would have been awesome to have the chats between Tali and the geth and the cut stuff

It's such a shame they cut that out! But then that applies to a lot of the dialogue that was cut. *sigh*Image IPB

I hate that chair.

I want to rip it out of the floor and toss it off the ship.

It's the middle of the day! Get off your butt, Kaidan. Stop lounging in the corner by yourself.

It makes me so mad when I see him sitting on that thing. I don't know why.

Lol really? Hate it? I may have preferred if he was up and about, but I don't despise it. :P Chair or not, I wants me some more Shenko dialogue.

devSin wrote... I don't think Shepard goes for a hug—I think he straight up aims to walk past Kaidan and just continue on? It really looks to me like he's walking away.

Which does feel a bit odd. Maybe if they had clasped each other's hands during the farewells, but they just sort of stand around and shift on their feet, and then Shepard moves to just leave. You're really just going to walk away, Shepard? Really?

Of course, it also reminds me of one of the most adorable things I've ever seen here. (Of course, this time he ends up with a passionate kiss instead of ice cream.)

*snip*

The only "final goodbye" with a good amount of tenderness is, guess who, Liara! And that's even if you don't romance her haha. I think all of the farewells could have had a lot more personality (prime example: get rid of the hologram farwells!), especially with the one you romanced. Worse than Kaidan's farewell is Cortez's, but that's a different topic.

Also, loved that pic. It's so cuuuute!

I want Kaidan out of that chair on Deck 3 and into my cabin!   There is a chair in my cabin he can use or I'm sure I can find *something* to sit on.  :D

The Kaidan "goodbye" isn't bad, it's touching, feels heartfelt, and both voice-actors did a great job.   It's just at the last second, the last tender moment with Kaidan and Shepard it turns ackward.  Its He/She is embarrased about their love.  Shepard, you fought to get Kaidan back into your life so be proud damn it!

I haven't finished my Cortez LI Shepard yet, but I can imagine it's bad.  There is actually recorded dialog with a Geth on disk but it was cut... maybe they'll add it to EC.

That PIC is cute.

I always loved Kaidan's goodbye and it is to me the only perfect thing that came out of ME3. She was going to walk past Kaidan, yes, and it made sense to me. It was almost like she didn't know what to do, and since there were so any people around, Shepard decided to just go away and cry by herself, but he interrupted her. Thats how I saw it. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]

Ah.    It looked like 'going for a hug" to me which was sad enough, but that just makes me want to :crying:

RE: the goodbye kiss, Shep and Kaidan's close moments are private. There she is with him, in front of a bunch of soldiers, with her heart already on her sleeve. There's that hesitation, like she wants to do more but is restrained by circumstances. She doesn't want to be unprofessional or embarass him in front of these guys so she starts to walk away. I admit to a girly squee when he grabbed her.

And I think Shep starts to walk away just not to prolong own (and his) agony. As the longer it lasts the harder it is to finally go. And I'm absolutely sure last things in the galaxy both were worried about are subordinance, chain of command, or that someone's watching them.

Meh, to hell with the chain of command.  They're both Spectres.

I can see where you're coming from.   But my Shepard fought for Kadian's affection since ME1.  Now this damn war brings us to London, in what could be the last moments with the man I love.   After all that, my shepard didn't care who sees them.  He fought too hard for too long to care what others think.   I think I said, "Don't walk away, kiss him damn it!"

I almost got caught too.  When you let Kaidain on the Normandy and the butt-shot came on screen the first time.  I think I said, "Oh baby!" and laughed so hard.

This pic is sad, maybe because I just finished ME3 again last night, but this looks like a post-ending shot of Kaidan looking at one of Liara's time capsules.  :crying:

I can say is, "Stay strong Kaidan.  I stoped the Reapers for you. Now go give Joker a little biotic kick in the pants for me."

I defintely agree that standing there would have prolonged the agony of their goodbye. I don't think the physical side is that important in that situation. It was wonderful for Kaidan to take that initiative but, for me, the chance to say goodbye was what really mattered.

Of course, I was expecting to fail, being unspoiled on my first run and knowing only that everyone was simply furious about the end. And then I knew Shep was going to die the next run because I hadn't played any MP. Telling him how she felt and putting up that brave front one last time were important to my Sheps. If she'd initiated the physical contact she'd never have been able to let go.

I imagine Shep had terribly mixed feelings about that kiss. She needs those soldiers to follow orders and her feet of clay are exposed. But...but...Kaidan... :(

When did he said he was? (once again, in ME1 release, no hacks, no hidden stuff etc)

Here comes Occam with his Razor, you know.

Well, as far as the kiss hesitation... yeah, the Spectre thing is paramount, but my Shepard doesn't do "goodbye." She didn't believe she'd survive, but didn't want to let him think that she thought that. She wanted him to have hope. So, if she kissed him, it'd be good bye. But since he made that first move, the kiss wasn't good bye, it was "come back to me, dammit."
