Now i got all these feelings that i can't let go off. Must....Read...Fanfiction... But i read all of them

Nice work.  Now if the EC would just let us have this type of ending.

Apparently. I may have believed time/resources thing with ME1. But I never believed for a second that they didn't have time/resources to put even 1 gay romance in ME2. Not when they had time & resources to make 6 big straight romances and a bonus female bi LI. Plus, all the excuses as to why there was no gay romance in ME2 were straight-out nonsense. Like when Ray Muzyka said that it's because Shep is pre-defined as straight lololol.

I wonder if Muzyka still feels that way.  Seems pretty contradictory to the whole idea of Shepard being a uniqe representation of each player's personality.

Nope.

Sometimes, in some of our games, we are going to have a defined character with a more defined view. Almost like a third-person narrative -- where Mass Effect is more in that vein, Dragon Age isn’t in that vein; you could see the differences between the two. It’s just part of the design and the choices made for each game. It doesn’t mean that we’ve in anyway changed our philosophy toward enabling choice. We love giving players choice, and we are going to continue to enable that for future games. That’s a commitment for some of our franchises. For some other franchises we’ve had more defined characters and sort of approaches to things, and they’ve had a more defined personality and a more defined approach to the way they’ve proceed through the game and the world.

All said while knowing perfectly that FemShep can be a lesbian. It was so idiotic I knew it was just a desperate excuse.

Of course he doesn't. He's smarter than this. It was just an excuse. What else could he say? "We don't care about gay guys, it's all about that hawt lesbian action!" or "WalMart threathened to boycott the game so we won't risk it for a couple of gay guys" wouldn't sound good in the media. Therefore, he came up with the pre-defined nonsense. Note that Casey's excuse in the same article is completly different yet equally silly. It basically boils down to "no resources/time and gay sex ain't PG-13" lol

Damn, never noticed just how much buffer Kaidan got in 2 1/2 years.  I need whatever space protein he's taking.

He didn't, just like he didn't say he wasn't. Means it could go both ways

You know, when you come into the room, and see no signs of a camel there, you can decide that you just didn't notice it. Or that it's kinda special magic invisible space-camel. But it's much more like there is no camel at all. Occam's here for you, as I said.

Once again. No matter what BW reason was, no matter what hidden scripts were - Kaidan Alenko appears straight in final release of ME1. If he is not - it's either your imagination or mod, or both.

, but since he's sleeping with my male Shepard in ME3, we know which way it went

Yes, I know what happens in ME3. I never denied they made him bi in ME3. It does not chgange his orientation in ME1 any bit, though. What released is released, what never happened - never happened.

ps: luv, peace, moar Kaidan, yes.

He was in armor, but it looked like Kaidan had bulked up in ME2 to me.   Just like Shepard did.   If you look at ME1 they are the same male body type.

Either body for Kaidan is allright by me!

Yeah, I tend to think it's a little over the top. I've always been partial to skinny guys, though. Vega totally freaks me out.

BW said they wanted to beef him up for ME3. You know, make him more capable and all. Plus, the combat role of the sentinel class really changed between ME1 and ME3.

Great, it's what YOUR Kaidan is that matters to you.

Kaidan is straight in your ME universe, that's perfectly fine.  He's also gay/bi/whatever in other people's ME universe.   It doesn't matter, it only matters what your-Kaidan is to you.

In my ME universe, Kaidan is my love, Kaidan was my desired love in ME1.   You do not exist in MY ME universe, just as I don't in yours.

Why do we have to ignore what BioWare intended and then chickened out of doing? If it's on the disc it was released, just not playable without mods. They could easily have just yanked it entirely or not included it in the first place if they wanted canon Kaidan to be straight.

I'm okay with how Kaidan is in ME3, I think I prefer it, but Vega?  /shudder.  That's just too much..he needs to lay off the steroids, not attractive!  I don't go for skinny guys...I like men to look like men, hence the reason I love Kaidan's stubble in ME3 /sigh

Well that's what head cannon is for. ME3 didn't come out and explicitly say that Shepard lived happily ever after. But you can bet your sweet ass that after she destroyed the Reapers and took that first breath, that she stood up, dusted herself off, and went out to find Kaidan and the rest of the crew on that weird planet.

And there are definitely some hints in there that Kaidan could be into dudes. Yeah, he talks about Rahna, but the point isn't to say "hey, I only like girls," it's to show that he's opening up to Shepard. He's sharing things about himself he doesn't usually share. And by ME2, that "losing you was like losing a limb" line indicates he definitely has a strong attachment to Shepard, male or female. Based on what BW gave us, it's easy to interpret Kaidan's sexual orientation differently. You choose to interpret him is straight, that doesn't make other interpretations invalid.

Well, at least he is only bi in manshep world, bioware did a good job on that note, he I straight in femshep world :-) And I don't think that comment about Jacob if you cheated is meant as "bi" comment as someone believes cough cough Isaac.... but that's my opinion Lol

Eh. Who cares. I tend to agree with Kunari. He can be straight in your playthrough--gay--bi--whatever. It's a role playing game so play it however you want to.

I'm a straight female but I was pretty happy when he turned out to be bi. It made him a more interesting character.

God, I also love his little gray hairs.  He just looks like an adult now.  Cue the swooning fits

Also, yeah, I wish he had gotten some chest hair.  Especially considering he's got pretty much a constant 4 o'clock shadow.  But I can't deny that he still looks damn good without it.
