I'm kind of ambivalent about his cryo blast.  Kind of wish he had gotten neural shock instead.

In me3 neural shock in under overload power
Ashley's power is marksman and inferno grenade
I only use marksman for Revenant thats all

lol...well really they're more grey-ish.. go light for the angst and to rebel against the dark and sith is fun and different when you have 6 republics...don't get me wrong i love them all and wish there wasn't an 8 limit per server.

I'm not too big a fan of Cryo Blast, and I hate that nearly everybody gets Overload.

It makes Kaidan feel a bit redundant. Barrier makes his cooldowns crap (and I don't know if the AI ever even detonates it), and while Reave is great, his specialty has a tech/biotic evolution that is skewed for tech.

I like detonating Overload more than Cryo Blast. I just hate it that Kaidan will always be the worst Overload user because of stupid Barrier (and because Reave is actually useful, unlike Tali's dumb drones or EDI's Decoy).

Tech powers can be detonated.

If you kill somebody with a tech power (or if you hit them with a Warp that kills them while they're affected by a tech power), the power detonates. For Overload, it shocks everybody nearby. For Incinerate and Cryo Blast, it causes an explosion that burns or chills everyone in a small radius.

I'm not usually into the S/S romances, but this picture is awesome!  Shepard looks really vulnerable here and I love the colors.  Was never going to play a mShep x Kaidan, but I agree that it  is now a lot more tempting...

I'd suggest reading the artist's fic that goes along with the art, Four Years Later. It's excellent!

  Erm, yeah, pretend I didn't say anything.  Unless you're on Tarro Blood or Wall of Light, in which case I'm still open to playing on the Republic side.

This was definitely one of my favorite moments in the game, it took me a couple playthroughs to see it since I always choose paragon, Shepards eyebrow raise is so cute and expressive, the animators did a great job with Kaidan and Shepard in that conversation (minus the actual lips contact which doesn't really work, Kaidan's mouth just sort of hanging open like that looks weird).
Also Four Years later is an awesone fanfic, I really hope the author finishes it since I'm dying to know what happens next.  Initially I didn't see how a story about Kaidan finding Shepard working in a pet shop could be interesting but I like it even better than the Tenth Street Reds fanfic (which is still an awesome story btw).
