That is interesting. I find myself agreeing with much of what he says. As much as BioWare tried to make sense of it through Kaidan's dialogue, the fact is you were forced to be a straight male. At least for the femsheps they had some options since the beginning, mostly by circumventing the whole subject by making an entire alien race female. . .

I love Kaidan a lot, but I have to say the Cortez romance seems more balanced and real because the two of them can just come right out and say what they feel. Kaidan and Manshep can't do this until much later. Combined the fact that this happens late game and with the ending how it is, the romance is quite unrewarding after Manshep waited so long to get his hands on Kaidan.

I thought it was still rewarding, I'm just sad there was no "I love you" line.

And I just read that article too, which I find interesting.  It's easy to come up with a story out of the fact that ME1 doesn't allow you to romance Kaidan. Closeted Shepard makes the most sense.

I like playing that kind of Shepard though. The first Shep I imported into 3 didn't romance anyone and finally getting Kaidan in the end not only felt cathartic but realistic.

Now I'm playing a "modded" Shepard who romanced Kaidan in ME1, and to be completely honest, it just feels very different.  It's nice to have some dialogues that FemShep only get with Kaidan, but I think playing a regular, unmodded male Shepard who has basically had "blue balls" for Kaidan since ME1 seems more fun since you want the Kaidan/MShep relationship to happen more.

Anyway... yeah. Does anyone play Diablo 3?! I tried to make a male wizard named Kaidan, but I got the "bad word" filter and couldn't use it. WTFreak?! Turns out there's this NPC named "Aidan" so I can't use any variation of that name, lol...

I don't think Kaidan ever went mute, but I have run into MaleShep going "mute" in all 3 games, in which only subtitles appeared. It's not too game-breaking though, it's barely noticeable in ME2 and ME3.

Hm, I've heard a good number of people who would disagree to the lovey-dovey stuff. I personally think those that divulge into the romance parts of the game should get the lovey-dovey stuff yanno, while on the Normandy. Perhaps they could have made it so that their LI is more "soft" if they are Paragon and perhaps a bit more distant or tough-loving if you are Renegade.

It's easy to imagine Shepard as a closeted man and just go with that throughout all three games until you finally get your man (or woman, Asari notwithstanding) in ME3. However, they portray homosexuality in ME3 very casually and they did it well, as if it's no big deal at all (which is just awesome). The sudden introduction of this attitude ME3 gives us is just so, I guess, unfair? The game prides itself on choice, but only in ME3 does Shepard finally get the choice to go after men (or 1 woman for femshep) and tells you its because of how hard you were working. Really? So your Shepard can  sl ut it up with the girls and aliens but the boys are just too distracting for the job. ME2 is by far my favorite game just in terms of story and gameplay. But I feel like I can play Shepard in a much larger customized RPG context in ME3. With the exception of the open world concept, ME3 was as comfortable playing as Skyrim in terms of how you want your character to look like and what he likes and wants to do, including who to "wed and bed". ME2 would have been the perfect game had they done this stuff back then.

But hey, I'm not complaining. I'm glad they finally put in S/S options (boy am I!). It's just perhaps a bit late since, yanno, the whole galaxy is ending!

Is Diablow 3 single player or multiplayer or both, If singlePlayer may get it. Got enough Multiplayer games

 I apologize, but couldn't help myself...
But I do believe Diablo always had a multiplayer component with single-player since the beginning.

Edit: Diablo 3 has a multiplayer where you can play with other players to finish a dungeon (if I remember correctly)
But the thing is you need to make an account in Battle.net and the game requires constant internet connection. Unlike Origin where it says you can play it offline, you can't play Diablo 3 offline. (which is a 'boooo...')

that is a hard question. last time i rebooted browser a couple weeks ago, last time i rebooted computer can't remmeber probably like a week or so ago. router not sure.

But it works fine in internet explorer

I thought I didn't like S/S fanfictions until I read tenth street red... now I'm addicted to the same author's new fic : Heavy Fire

Both take place in an alternate universe : in the first one, Shepard and Kaidan are teenagers, and in the second one Shepard is a merc who has to work with spectre-commander Alenko...

It's very good... and very hot

it wouldn't leave my brain, so i had to write it down. Now it should finally be free.
For some reason i like writing sad stories instead of happy ones. But i do tend to liek Writing happy ones more. i used to always write dragon age and resident evil happy endings

Oh I understand, it's a conscious effort to not write angst, I've just been agnsted out over the last 24 hours, considering some of the stuff that hit Tumblr yesterday /sigh /sob...
