Legion had to die because Bioware screwed us over... with the countless awesome characters die...

Yeah, Legion is my favourite non-LI... even how annoyingly late you get him in ME2....

I KNOW! I wanted him and Tali to live so that I can both hug them in London before heading off to a bad ending.
