Soo, I cheated on Kaidan in ME2 with Thane, and now I went to see Kaidan at the hospital (first time he is awake) and he asked my Shepard if she had something with Thane. I picked the "let me explain" option rather than the apologizing one and I feel like he just friend zoned Shepard....when she asked "how do we get past Horizon", he said something different than what he said to a loyal Shepard...

Is it possible to still romance him or should I go back and pick "I'm sorry"??

do you havea save just before you said that, if so continue playing, if he won't romance you at the cafe, then you would have to go back to that part

I do have a save right before it, so I think I'm going back right now and fix it...

I could never survive ME3 without Kaidan...

As far as I can recall, as long as you don't outright lie, and then leave when he tells you to get out, then you're still good. If you lie about it and take off, then his trust suffers and it'll make it that much harder to talk him down.

I actually kind of prefer the "let me explain" option because it feels more realistic. He admits he was a bit of a dick, and Shepard doesn't have to apologise for what she did while they [rossgellar]WERE ON A BREAK [/rossgellar]

Still, if you want to be 100% sure, then reload and apologise.

that's why I picked "let me explain" because I don't feel like Shepard should feel sorry for anything she did. He pushed her away...<_<

But I went back and reloaded, just to be sure...

But in all seriousness, I prefer that response too because Shepard finally has a chance to explain herself, and to see that Kaidan does want to reconcile. It's nice.

He's the worst.  I can't believe I helped him hook up with EDI.  First the "I hate to interrupt" line (no he doesn't, liar), then the "we're five minutes out from the Mu Relay" bit.  He really has the worst time ever.  Of course that second line resulted in one of my favorite Kaidan miscues ever.  "JOKER IS WAITING FOR YOU ON THE BRIDGE."

So wait guys, what was the order that I could get Kaidan before the bomb mission in Tuchanka again? I'm about to do the Platoon mission but I want Kaidan there...

Huh? I thought once you do the Priority: Tuchanka mission the other two Tuchanka missiosn, including the one about the Rachni, expired or something. I didn't think it was possible to get Kaidan until after all of that unless I'm missing something.

 you don't need to do all tuchunka Priority missions, just one of them will do, but be sure to do it i think either before thessia or before Quarian homeworld.

i know i have done before, but you will have to do all the other side missions too, like benning and the biotic place. otherwise that will expire after citadel coup

You can still complete the Benning N7 mission after the coup, but you lose the ability to turn in the dog tags to the ambassador on the citadel.  Not a huge loss.

I think you can do the platoon mission, rachni, cure the genophage, citadel coup, then bomb mission to bring Kaidan along with you.

You can do them afterwards, but I think you need to do Priority Tuchanka first. I just can't remember the order that it goes (and I don't wanna mess this up)

I make my beeline to the Coup this time as well. On my first playthrough I had finished all missions before attempting Citadel II because I feared they expire >_< Now I do the Grissom mission, all fetch quests except the dog tags (don't care about this ambassador this time) Sur'Kesh, Tuchanka -- Kaidan time Platoon, Bomb, Rachni and even wait to get ME's very own spacetroll on Eden Prime until Kaidan is aboard.

Yes, I finally suceeded! Took me long enough  .  I love the locker scene too...Joker was totally listening in.  He's such a liar.  Living vicariously (sp?) through Shepard!  I remember the first time Kaidan said "JOKERISWAITINGFORYOUONTHEBRIDGE!" I thought I had said the wrong thing to him after smexy time and he was pissed at me, rofl.

@Mage Is spacetroll = Javik?  I usually wait until after I have Kaidan for that as well because then Javik will tell me once we're on the ship that he senses more confidence than fear in me and that I feel we are winning.  If you get him early on he says he senses fear in you. Plus I love having Kaidan on Eden Prime with me for old times sake.
