Mmm, whipped cream.

I'm just not a marriage person, despite actually being married.  That was paperwork to quiet the fam, not a deep-seated desire to get married.  To me, getting married just isn't a priority for Shep, though I do think Kaidan would pop the question eventually.  Reproducing would be a major issue for them to work thought, IMO.  I think kids would drive Shep nuts.  She seems like more of a cat person...or a German Shepard fan.

I agree. Though I could also see Kaidan trying to pull off some big romantic gesture, and Shepard just totally bungling it somehow. Probably involving explosives.

Yeah, I also see them as Simple..no Flash or gimmicy things. they have enough of that with their work.

LOL, hubby's big move was to hide the ring under my pillow.  When I didn't find it in the morning he had to send me back to bed. 

Simple doesn't mean without deep feelings.  Some people just don't like to make a big production out of things.  [shrug]  I see Kaidan as that kind of guy.

Head canon (I had no LI until Kaidan in ME3) as I said in a previous post, there would be a post war party for the Normandy crew on a beach somewhere.   During that party with the sun setting over the ocean with Reaper wrecks in the distance and the night's bonfire is just getting started. Light salty breaze coming in off the ocean, Garrus passes out classes of bubbly while Kaidan takes my hand and leads me into the front of the group.

He takes my hands into his, "Shepard, you made my heart skip a beat the first time we meet on the SR1, I was too shy then tell you and then we all got caught up with Saren and Soverign. Before I could get the courage to tell you we were hit by the Collectors and I thought... I thought I lost you forever.  While I was in the hospital I heard you tell me, "I need you. Fight Kaidan". Those words gave me strength and hope just like you've always done.  You've always been the strong one, no matter the odds, no matter the foe, you've been there when I needed you.  I know I haven't always been there for you but I hope to rectify that now. Shepard, will you do me the honor of taking my hand in marriage?"

(I guess that makes me a romantic)

Truth be told, I guess it depends on the personality of your Shepard. I can see Kaidan being relatively flexible to more or less do it in a way that would make Shepard happy.

In my case she likes things simple. However, I could see some Shepard's liking it to be a bit more complex, and I can see Kaidan adapting to that.

"You did it" he says quietly as he gently sits her down on the ground, leaning her against a wall. "They're all dead, all of them." For my anti-alien Shepard playthrough Tali died during the suicide run... so on the geth dreadnought mission I took James and Kaidan. Kaidan was the one to offer his hand to Shepard and help her up in that situation.

But with Tali missing, you can't make peace with the quarians and geth IIRC. So you have to sacrifice an entire race in order to maybe get that single scene. <_<

Well I chose destroy and murdered all synthetics just because it's the only option that allows for the possibility of Kaidan and Shepard re-uniting.  Might as well add the quarians too,  Alenko love makes me do terrible things ><

Well lets compare:

Killing all of the quarians to get Kaidan to help you up from a platform on a geth ship.
vs
Killing all synthetic life, geth included, to be with Kaidan for all eternity.

Yeah, I'd choose the latter in a heartbeat.

True, I only did it once :-) But it was rather nice to see Kaidan save Shepard for a change, so was totally worth it and more in character for that particular Shepard.


edit: doh, don't have any pics since trying to figure out this new tablet... anybody got a good one? hmmmm lets see if this works...





woo... love the look on Kaidan's face when he comes to Shepard's cabin!
