sooo, i am still worried i may have to shoot Kaidan in my non import game. thane and Khiahie ] i can't spell it] are died, witch means that Udina will doct the footage. now, i've done all hospital vists gave him the gift. but as i am avoding the side quests... [ i hate them] my Paragon bar is like... one bar. and i'm two missions away from the coup...is there anything more i can do?

without Tali, peace is Impossible.
without Legion, peace is hard to do (not sure but i think its near-impossible, i just love legion too much to let him die/hand over to cerberus/Not activate)

I just picked up On Basilisk Station, the first Honor Harrington novel, at the library this morning. I' always leery of authors who atr so prolific because they often turn formulaic just to keep pumping out the pages but I'll see how it goes....
I see the HH books like a TV Series, a good fun ride to enjoy nothing too deep. I beleive the first two books are free from the publisher's website in Text and eReader formats. That's where I picked them up at least.

This reminds me of the first time I played ME1 and I couldn't save Wrex on Virmire. I had to go ALL the way back to rescuing Liara to get enough Paragon points. I couldn't shoot Wrex, he was a Bro I couldn't shoot him. Kaidan is smart enough to know I'd talk Wrex down eventually, but no Ashley had go shoot Wrex... that's why she had to die.

actually, to not let wrex die you needed
8 Points in Charm
or do his "Family armour" quest.

Remember, this was my first time playing ME1, so it was all still new. At least on PC I do not think there is a way to reset your points and I had spent all mine already. I also couldn't open the lock on the safe to get Wrex's armor (I didn't yet know then if Tali was in the squad I could open it)
Again, ME1 was still new (to me since PC release was after xbox).
Edit: Man, those were the days... ME1 was the ONLY Mass Effect game, the universe was ours to explore with our merry band on the SR1. As Joker would say, "Seemed like hell at the time..." /sigh

Thanks. Glad you liked it and told me so, since feedback is pretty scarce these days on FFN. It seems all have developed a read and run-style there. Le sigh. Ah well.
Yesterday, I replayed the end with my Canon-Shep (the one I write about) simply because I chose Synthetic the first time around. Not because I WANTED to, but the starbrat and the whole events left me entirely too dumbfounded, so I started to walk forward until Alyssa began to run and jumped into the beam. I was like WTF....WHY ARE YOU-- ARGH. Afterwards, I was too dejected to touch the game for a month. But that green zombie ending always nagged in the back of my mind, so I corrected it yesterday to Destroy and had the breathing scene. (Which was not a surprise with nearly 7000 EMS, lol)
Not that this one was any better, but it is remarkable how different my reaction was. Instead of anger or dejection, I watched it all with some kind of dry cynism and sarcasm and loled as Joker, Kaidan and Garrus landed on that effing planet.
Well yes, good luck with starting a new colony, guys.
It is still incredible bad and the author in me screams at all the rules of writing disregarded in mere fifteen minutes, but since I have my own head canon, I can watch it with detached humor now. And I go with the IT, because no way this sh*t can be more than a dream.

My ending pretty much involves to press the reaper kill button and Alyssa giving the finger to Harbinger before he explodes (Vanguard of my destruction? Well, life is a b*tch, ****er.) And sipping drinks on a beach while watching big ass reaper parts sticking out of the water.
It is all in all a very amusing thought. xD ( I will write up something more serious, but for now this will do)

I ran out of time to actually get my ass out to the gym today before my hair appointment so I decided just to go for a jog around the neighborhood and work out at home. Here's the nerdy part. I cranked the Mass Effect tracks I have and pretended I was commander Shepard. The Shadow Broker boss fight's a real good one. Cerberus Agent from the ME3 soundtrack works well too, I just imagined I was actually running after Dr Eva and trying to save Kaidan. Well I might be a nerd, but at least I'm a nerd who's in shape now.
Edit: If you haven't seen it before, that link I posted is from a guy here on the BSN, he's rad and his album is free. I still donated $5 because it rocks.

I'm pretty good at suspending my disbelief so the first time I got to the Starchild I was thinking, "Um, okaaaaay. I guess I can accept that." Then they cut to the Normandy and I raged.

Likewise - I also love that whole thing of running while imagining you were back on the citadel in ME1 running to and from everywhere to help everyone because rapid transit was for wimps... (I liked the elevator sequences). I think you get to walk if you have an xbox, PC was always jogging everywhere, so I just have that in my mind when I need to keep running. But the soundtracks are awesome running music.

When the music from the SM in ME2 comes up I really get into my hero-mode. Also imagine tribute-videos for my different Shepards when certain songs come up, lol.

And I thought I was the only one who does that. I usually skip most of the dialogues, but with Vigil, never... The music, his calm voice, attitude towards "younger races" (unlike Javik)... One of the best scenes in ME. M.I LikeTo Doodle wrote...
