fair point
though to some degree that makes them more like real characters to me, as long as you can say no at some point, even if it means you get on their bad side *shrug*
Oh don't get me wrong, it's fine if they're all swoony for Shepard/Hawke, even if he/she will never return their feelings. It just annoys me if they get really aggressive about it. Constantly making your feelings known and demanding that Shepard/Hawke reevaluate their feelings (aka PICK ME, NOT THEM) is getting into "creepy, obsessive stalker" territory for me. (Although Anders is the one that does this, Liara/Tali don't.)
as for Liara ... I can't get over the thing that she's barely considered an adult by asari standards (I wonder if the look-changes will be retconned as going through the different stages and she fast forwards to Matron stage, pretty much skipping the Maiden years) ... she does have an unhealthy fascination with Shepard, though who knows, if it wasn't Liara Cerberus would have found another way ...
Yeeeeeah, that bothers me too. I mean, if you go by the fact that Asari live for 1000 years versus Human's 150, that seems to make Liara even YOUNGER.
To make this a little easier, say if humans lived 100 years. So every 100 years for the Asari is the equivalent of 10 years for humans. Since Liara is 106, that makes her... about 10 years old in Human years. And with 1000 Asari years/150 Human years, that's would make Liara even younger.

EDIT: Okay, I'm wrong, it makes her a bit older. 1000 Asari/150 Human = 6.67, which means for every one human year, it's 6.67 for Asari. So divide Liara's 106 years by 6.67 and you get 15.89, which would be her age in human years. But still, that's... young. (I did all this math theory in my head while making dinner... how nerdy am I.)
makes you think that Kaidan is one of the few sane LIs available
Apparently sane = boring. <_<
