Hey guys! I was looking for some post ending ME3 fanfic with Kaidan Is there a list of it compiled anywhere? I checked the fanfic thread in the KAAS but couldn't find any. I figured it's been out long enough that there will be plenty to read now!

I don't think we have anything like a cohesive list floating around so much as people post their own writings on the board now and then. There have been ending re-writes and stories that completely toss the whole thing out the window, but as far as actual post-ending fics I haven't been personally keeping up. I know JaerWolfe has one for her renegade femShep I quite enjoyed: A Renegade's Resolve

Technically almost all of her writings are post-ending, even if they were written long before ME3 came out. Anyway, I'd poke around through the authors listed on the first page, most of them have more on their sites than just the listed fics. Also keep an eye on people's signatures, many authors keep a link in there somewhere and many active posters have in-process stories (that wasn't a subtle cue to check out mine, I don't have any post-ending things).

well i am going to the MCM Expo London on saturday, but i am dragging my bros along. They want to come an i have no clue why.

also for some odd reason i think Kaidan will beat every single crew member in a fight, as he will give it his all.

On the topic of Dragon*Con, I'll be going (not that feelings about me around here are very positive at the moment, but just figured I'd throw it in that I'm still planning to go all four days, complete with costumes). I'll be with a group of non-ME friends, though, so whether or not I'll be able to slip away for very long is questionable. And if anyone here is planning on assassinating me, it would be kind of you to at least leave a note on my hotel door one hour prior to the event so I can prepare a bit.

As for Kaidan vs. crew members, he's strong, but not the strongest IMO. In plain hand to hand I think Vega could take him. Jack certainly has the edge on Biotics. Garrus has the advantage when it comes to long ranged combat. Ashley has better weapon capabilities.
In just an all out free for all use whatever tactics you want brawl, I think Kaidan could beat everyone except Liara (probably an evenly matched tie right there), Samara (powerful justicar), Jack (through upgrades), and maybe Wrex (again, I see them as somewhat evenly matched, although if Wrex got close enough I couldn't see Kaidan holding out for long).

I *really* want to go to D*Con. I'm still trying to make it happen.

Kaidan's pretty badass, but there are a bunch of squaddies that I think would beat him in a fight. Some of his powers are best in a team setting (reave) and I think he could get overwhelmed in close combat. So I say he beats Tali, Jacob, Ashley, Mordin, EDI, Kasumi (although she's wily), Legion, and Vega but only if he's faster. Loses to Samara, Morinth (from combat or being Ardat-Yakshied), Jack, Wrex, Grunt, probably Liara, Zaeed (who would employ dirty tricks), Javik, and Thane. It would be a draw with Garrus and probably Miranda too.

Edit: Don't forget to visit our friends at Hold the Line, or PM Sarah Ann if you want to participate in the Kaidan's Waiting project.  Sunday's the deadline.

 I'm in Atlanta and really want to go to Dragon Con. Just not sure if I can make it. I might see if a friend who always goes can get an autograph for me 

I think Samara would probably best most of the other squadies. I mean aren't justicars supossed to be really amazing biotics? Kaidan could beat Kasumi (she's squirrelly though), Jacob, Mordin, EDI, Legion, and maybe James. That is if Samara didn't just rip everyone to shreds first. I'm not sure about Ashley. I think it could go either way. I think they're pretty evenly matched. I think I'd lean towards Kaidan just because of the biotics, but without them I'd say it's even. Maybe lean towards Ashley. Soldiers are tough.

Side note, I'm looking for a Shenko fic with Shepard having PTSD. I don't think they called it that in the fic though. May have seen it on tumblr a while back. This was before I knew how to like a post. Anyway, the things I remember from it were it may have started with Shep pulling a gun on Kaidan? Near then end he was trying to get her to sign something to let him make the medical decisions for her. Anyone have a link or something?

Are we talking about ME1 Liara or ME3 Liara fighting Kaidan? All it would take would be an ME1 singularity to screw any squaddie so if that's the level then I think she'd wipe the floor with most of the crew. Once she'd had that (wonderful, super-fun, uber-useful) ability nerfed I didn't find her particularly great in combat.

Besides, sweet, innocent, naive little archaeology girl couldn't possibly hold her own against trained soldiers, right? [insert rant about Liara and lies]

My sister wants to go too, but not for Raphael Sbarge.
I think she's just excited because her friends are all dressing up as Nyan Cat or something...
So she'll ditch me once we get there

New chapter is up!  If It Meant Living-57: Dances of Death / Alt. DA Link.  Citadel Coup, but with some twists, including the Udina confrontation kind of being turned on its head in a hopefully cool way .  Lots and lots of Kaidan perspective, lots and lots of Thane perspective - they kind of steal the show from Shepard.

Edit: And that chapter was spectacular, Graceyn.  I love the way you write Thane.  Especially in his conversations with Kaidan in the hospital.  Can't wait for the next edition.

Yey!! That is truly worthy of song I finally got my Quarian Engineer last weekend - I still haven't got a Krogan Sentinel or a regular Asari Adept, but meh, I got plenty to choose from now. saving up the credits for next week's new DLC pack so I can buy up extras!

Writing Thane is always a challenge, because he speaks so differently than everyone else - but he speaks so beautifully, it is a pleasure to do.  I think I probably go around talking in elegant, soulful sentences for several days after writing him - until my husband tells me to stop talking like Thane .

I wish there was a SP "challenge" mode you could do with your squad instead of just MP.   It'd make good training for MP matches even if it did not give you MP XP or credits.

I don't mind that there is MP but I'm not that good so I stick at Bronze level but I do enjoy it enough to go at least a few rounds when I open ME3.  

I was hoping for more SP "mini-games", like a shooting match contest with Kaidan in the gunnery range too...  Poker tournyment on the Normandy...  could have been awesome in ME3.

Nice! That has to be one of the best feelings. When the character card pops up that has eluded you for who knows how long.

I've finally gotten to the point where I can complete a silver match. The bronze wasn't giving enough credits and took me forever to get my first PSP and then even longer for the second so I can get a weapon strong enough for silver. Still though, I die a lot in silver matches but at least I'm competent enough to actually help the other players.

I agree with you, Kunari. Some sort of single-player "training" or whatever would have been nice. Some of the MP weapons you can't get in SP so I have no idea if I like them or not. I've started a round before with a new weapon I've never used and it was absolutely horrendous. A lot of MP games tend to put you in blind and force you to learn by experience and I dislike that.

I've gotten to the point where i can complete a whole silver match without using a medi-gel (i keep wondering why i have nearly 200 of them )

Now for characters i Main Asari justicar and infiltrators (salarian quarian geth are snipers, while humans are shotgunners)

i can't play Drell adept because...
the reave sound bug affects Drells

Truth be told i don't believe i'm good but i seem to come out on top of the board....

And reave damage resistence stacks even when the monster dies, i managed to kill affect a bunch of monsters that a single brute couldn't take out 1/4 of my barrier lol...

I'm usually 3rd on Bronze level so I think I'll stay at bronze and continue to wish I could have Kaidan, Garrus, and Wrex at my side while playing MP.

I really should play more MP...it's a blast when I do play, but so little time to do so.
