Do you guys think bioware should just say screw the trilogy and just make more Mass Effect games or are you ready for something new? I'm still not ready to let these guys go yet myself. I'd be perfectly happy with them making another ME game.

I wish they'd left more time in between ME1 and ME2 so they could stick a game there. Or anything really. Just still not ready to say goodbye.

Nah, my brother feels the same way. He says they need to move on. Til I told him a comand and conquer game is up next. I'd rather they do a new IP but I guess we'll just have to see.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.   Yes, I want more Mass Effect games.   I want more time for my Shepard & Kaidan romance to grow.   I want more adventures with the crew on the Normandy.     when I think it's over.

Thanks!  He's such a wonderful, unique character.

To answer your question, MORE Mass Effect!  With the caveat that it involve at least some of the existing characters.  Yes, a game around the First Contact War, or going further back or forward in history would be interesting, but the fact of the matter is that it is these characters we are attached to.  Yes, they have created an amazing, full universe that we love...but personally, it wouldn't be the same without the characters we have come to know and love.

Yes definitely! I believe Kunari came up with the idea to split the trilogy. So ME1,2,&3 is like the first "episode" and then we could see ME4,5,&6 as the second episode, and finally ME7,8,&9 is the last. Trilogies within a trilogy! Or simplify it by making ME1,2,&3 as the first "episode" while ME4 is second in the trilogy and ME5 would be the last.

Definitely want more - there are not enough good sci fi series out there - with ME finished, that's another imminent void in my life. Star Trek series died, I never did get time for B5 but damn I wish I had time to rewatch... Stargate finished, Joss stopped making TV shows and went into films, I am enjoying Lost Girl when I can and obviously Game of Thrones (though I really did not enjoy books 4 or 5 so hoping the TV shows help with the pace), but in general, I just need more. This ME universe has a lot to give, I want more Mass Effect!

Yes definitely! I believe Kunari came up with the idea to split the trilogy. So ME1,2,&3 is like the first "episode" and then we could see ME4,5,&6 as the second episode, and finally ME7,8,&9 is the last. Trilogies within a trilogy! Or simplify it by making ME1,2,&3 as the first "episode" while ME4 is second in the trilogy and ME5 would be the last.

To be fair, I borrowed the idea from somewhere else.  :happy:

Ok, this is a good Shepard+Kaidan story "Stuck in Reverse" but it did make me  like a baby.  It ends on a hopeful note so it's not all sad.  Some of the  is for personal reasons.

Well technically, there's 2 years in there.  ME3 marks the end of Shepard's story, but who's to say we couldn't play as another of our favorite characters.  Here are some games I wouldn't mind seeing in that space in between. 
1) Archangel: play as Garrus and take over Omega
2) Descent to Purgatory: play as Jack, f sh*t up, and save yourself by crashing a space station into a moon, resulting in that trip to Purgatory.  Btw, anyone else think it was weird that a nightclub had the same name as the prison ship?
3) Informed Consent: play as information broker Liara T'soni (I know, she's not my fave either) as she infiltrates the Shadow Broker's network to save Shepard
4) The Biotic Man: follow Kaidan's military career, maybe even including Horizon from his perspective, and assemble the Biotic Spec Ops division.
5) umm a game about whatever Ashley did  (sorry, I'm lame and I don't know because I gave up on SP before I got through my playthrough with her.  Once the EC drops she'll get her game)
6) Galaxy: Enjoy Miranda and Jacob's pre-ME2 adventures.  It might even make Jacob cooler.
7) First Contact Wars: not in the specified time frame, but I'd love a game where we get to be Captain Anderson.  Because it would be so cool.

@Kunari - hit up the Kaidanites' MP Group.  Everyone's very cool.  I'd play with you, as I still like to kick it on Bronze where I die from time to time, but I'm on xbox.

@Doodle - sounds like it's time for you to upgrade to Gold.  If I can survive (and by survive, I mean die during extraction - the enemy can have the base as long as I get paid) you should be able to dominate.  I'm terrible at MP and only did it cuz my friend dragged me in there.

@Mayra - welcome back.  Long time no see.

Edit: Thanks for everyone who cared (or at least pretended to care) about my Turian Sentinel.  The upshot of this is that I will stop talking about not having one all the time.  Everybody wins!

A quick heads-up for the London MCM Expo-ers, if you want to meet up I'll be standing outside Theatre A with a sign saying "Kaidanites Unite!" just after the OUAT talk *so about 3:30* if anyone wants to meet up?

And yeah, we always need more good sci-fi. I grew up with Star Trek *mainly Voyager* and Stargate, so ME was a pretty amazing find for me.

Me, Upgrade to gold? oh i tried, keep getting into FBWGG games and i tried a U/U/G but it was Glacier vs reapers and the shear size of brutes makes it hard to escape the grasp of banshee's...

i do well on Hydra (favourite map EVER) and do my worst of Glacier
i even did a silver game on hydra where i practicly had to solo waves 7-10 (team kept getting downed)

Edit: hope you and your turian do very well

I want more ME, I love playing Kaidan but we all know he's not the most popular companion/squaddie.... the anti-Kaidan bastards they are, but they are out there.

I played a ton of MP today (on X-Box) and still haven't managed to level one person up to 20.    I've got a Turian, though, waiting in the wings for when my Engineer finally gets promoted.  I was so mad...I ended my last match 25 credits short of a Spectre pack but my head just can't take any more right now.

I'd love to see more in the Mass Effect universe, whether our favorite characters are mentioned tangentially or we actually get to be with them.  But I don't really want to play AS someone else, that's my problem.  You can't customize Garrus or Kaidan, they have to be them.    A series of relatively short DLCs in which you do that would be awesome but I can't imagine a game-length ME addition that restricts you to a single, named character.  It just doesn't seem like BioWare.

i once had 3 credits from a PSP... i actually laughed alot,

My problem with this is that they would have to come up with some new giant threat for each set.  Having finished off the Reapers, doing paperwork and bickering with politicians isn't going to be very exciting.  (I would, however, adore a strategy game like Halo Wars, perhaps on Palaven where you play Krogans versus Turians.)  Unless we're going to find out that the creatures that created the stupid Reaper AIs in the first place are still in stasis I don't know where they'd go from here.

That is not, of course, to say that I would object in any way to more Shenko.  Please don't misunderstand.

ME4: Normandy crew finds resorces from the planet they got stranded on to fix the normandy and encountered a very aggressive species, other parts of the game feature earth and how Wrex and the other members try find shepard among the rubble of the citadel (unable to find if Synthesis/control was picked)

ME5: Normandy manages to get fix while the crew defend it and they take off and find a broken relay and land on a near by planet to get fuel, other parts of the game they are unable to find shepard (finds shepard alive if destroy) and the all races trying to find ways to fix the mass relays


ME6: after 2 years they fixed most of the intact mass relays (sol system inclued) and managed to connect to Tuchunka, Thessia and Sur'kesh

The normandy crew manages survive by traveling from planets to planets for fuel and food rescorses and manages to fix a mass relay thanks to EDI (Tali fixed her and restored her in destoryed)

and they all meet up and happy ever after

(don't give a crap if there will be so many plot holes, just don't mention any because i would be very sad...)

More Mass Effect? Well... Yes and no.

The universe, codex, history, gameplay, and all of ME is cool, yeah, but what I love about it is the characters and character driven plot. Since they've kept such strong characters throughout the three games, having a new ME without Shepard just wouldn't feel right. So, yes, I want more, but only if it includes the Shepards we know and love. Which isn't going to happen, according to the devs. They seem like they're gearing for an MMO or something.
