Yes definitely! I believe Kunari came up with the idea to split the trilogy. So ME1,2,&3 is like the first "episode" and then we could see ME4,5,&6 as the second episode, and finally ME7,8,&9 is the last. Trilogies within a trilogy! Or simplify it by making ME1,2,&3 as the first "episode" while ME4 is second in the trilogy and ME5 would be the last.

My problem with this is that they would have to come up with some new giant threat for each set.  Having finished off the Reapers, doing paperwork and bickering with politicians isn't going to be very exciting.  (I would, however, adore a strategy game like Halo Wars, perhaps on Palaven where you play Krogans versus Turians.)  Unless we're going to find out that the creatures that created the stupid Reaper AIs in the first place are still in stasis I don't know where they'd go from here.

That is not, of course, to say that I would object in any way to more Shenko.  Please don't misunderstand.  ;)

The idea was that BW would use something like the IT and ME3 would end at "The beginning of the end" of the Reaper war, with the discovery of a weakness to the Reapers for a conventional war with the Reapers.   ME3 DLC & ME4 would be more "Reaper War" and give us time for closure with our Shepards & crew and maybe even introduce a new generation of characters to take over.

It's just a wish... but I wish...  /sigh

Ah, so the "it's a dream" fake ending ploy, eh? [insert smiley waggling its eyebrows here] That could actually work. Hell, anything is better than the Normandy rushing all of the people who care about Shepard halfway across the galaxy for no explicable reason.

Well that is also something Kunari may or may not have come up with on his own. The end of ME3 would be the Crucible only weakening the Reapers. So now it would be a level but still difficult galactic battle which would continue in a theoretical ME4.

If BioWare wants to expand the ME universe they have unlimted ways to go. I guess the loss of Shepard as the main antagonist may be a bit of a downer but you can grow to like a whole new set of characters if you give it a chance (Shepard can't live forever yanno).

I would like to see a game about the First Contact War, or if something more exotic is wanted perhaps take up as a quarian or geth in the Morning War or perhaps play as krogan or turian in the Rachni Wars. I just really hope they don't turn it into an MMO or another damn CoD or GoW. We have enough violent multiplayer shooters dammit!

Edit: Was making dinner, so I was in the middle of making this and didn't post it till after y'all have said thing. so excuse me.

I did read it, I intended to comment on it in my earlier post but as I made clear in the edit I was making dinner so me making a long post wasn't going to happen then.

Your idea revolves around the terrible conclusion that the Normandy crash did in fact take place; something that makes my stomach turn upside down. That aside, while you set down a clear goal, there isn't a defined antagonist or any real plot with a rise, climax, and then conclusion. What you proposed is more suited for a simulation game, not something like the FPS/RPG we know and love. Not trying to be mean or anything, rather trying to give you constructive criticism. :police:

Hey--just ignore me, I'll go away soon, I promise. If you are interested in participating in this initiative to send YOUR personal Shepard in a binder to BioWare--and possibly Sbarge (if we can find a publicist or anything) But anyway, this is just to show our love for Kaidan Alenko, so if you think you want to participate, you can just send me your face code through a message or a screenshot. Or, you can go to this link and see what it is for yourself. http://www.holdtheli...nswaiting.1747/

Does anyone know who the creators/writers were for Alenko? I could look it up, but I'm thinking someone here knows. And if you do, could you send me a message because I'm afraid that I might lose it in this thread.

You're lucky I didn't quote what you had before (I almost did). Not that there was anything particularly juicy for you to hide in your pre-edit post. =P

@legbamel
Nice pic, I completely agree with that sentiment.

Cathleen Rootsaert for ME3 - we wrote a letter to her recently and thanked her for all her work. Finished version is here

I would have mentioned it to you guys had I known you were over there... sorry about that!

I wouldn't even mind if it's not save the galaxy focused. A  smaller scale mission saving a planet/colony/whatever as long as it's Shepard and the crew focused is fine. It doesn't have to be galaxy huge to be cool. I just don't want to let them go. Yet.

I wish they'd left more time in between ME1 and ME2 so they could stick a game there. Or anything really. Just still not ready to say goodbye.

Well technically, there's 2 years in there.  ME3 marks the end of Shepard's story, but who's to say we couldn't play as another of our favorite characters.  Here are some games I wouldn't mind seeing in that space in between.
1) Archangel: play as Garrus and take over Omega
2) Descent to Purgatory: play as Jack, f sh*t up, and save yourself by crashing a space station into a moon, resulting in that trip to Purgatory. Btw, anyone else think it was weird that a nightclub had the same name as the prison ship?
3) Informed Consent: play as information broker Liara T'soni (I know, she's not my fave either) as she infiltrates the Shadow Broker's network to save Shepard
4) The Biotic Man: follow Kaidan's military career, maybe even including Horizon from his perspective, and assemble the Biotic Spec Ops division.
5) umm a game about whatever Ashley did  (sorry, I'm lame and I don't know because I gave up on SP before I got through my playthrough with her.  Once the EC drops she'll get her game)
6) Galaxy: Enjoy Miranda and Jacob's pre-ME2 adventures.  It might even make Jacob cooler.
7) First Contact Wars: not in the specified time frame, but I'd love a game where we get to be Captain Anderson.  Because it would be so cool.

@Kunari - hit up the Kaidanites' MP Group.  Everyone's very cool.  I'd play with you, as I still like to kick it on Bronze where I die from time to time, but I'm on xbox.

@Doodle - sounds like it's time for you to upgrade to Gold.  If I can survive (and by survive, I mean die during extraction - the enemy can have the base as long as I get paid) you should be able to dominate.  I'm terrible at MP and only did it cuz my friend dragged me in there.

@Mayra - welcome back.  Long time no see.

Edit: Thanks for everyone who cared (or at least pretended to care) about my Turian Sentinel.  The upshot of this is that I will stop talking about not having one all the time.  Everybody wins!

Did you know if you ask Avina about Purgatory the night club she will in essence tell you there is no such place?

Yes, more ME please...but only if they straighten out the end and continue from there.  Not much interested in the pre-stuff.  I'm lame that way

^^Wait, what? When did Avina go all meta on me? I asked her about the local features in each location (how I learned about the amazing Blasto promo), but I don't remember that one coming up. YouTube link?

sorry tiny offtopic rant- curse you origin for being broken and not letting me play anything associated with you.....especially after the pain meds have kicked in.

EA is the worst! Although, I thought the pain meds would make it better. That's usually my experience anyway.

Umm... Yes!! The Morning War or Rachi War would make a good game too. I haven't done the CoD, GoW, MW thing, and I don't really want to. I hope BioWare stays out of that genre, C&C notwithstanding.

@ Doodle - read your post, but I doubt the devs would buy in. It's not a bad idea though

Oh man, I would eat up a ME RTS based on Command & Conquer mechanics! Since EA owns CnC and Mass Effect they could legally do this. I mean it is EA though, not a lot of faith there. But the idea is exciting.

Edit: Would be even better if such a game had a music score made with Frank Klepacki and Susumu Hirasawa. But only in my dreams.

He hates him for being too good a character? I'm pretty sure that's what he's saying. Though his hate is not blind; too many people simply say "oh, he's boring!" but this guy went on a whole legit spew. I do not agree with him in the least, but he at least elaborates on his hate. . . :?

Then again, he may have grown fond of Ashley and is biased. :P
