Agreed, i really don't see Kaidan as a jealous type.
but what i find really funny is that in ME2 if you romance tali then get with kaidan during the dreadnaught during when tali goes like "before earth" blah blah blah, Kaidan was like "yeh whatever, i'll give you some privacy" (not in exact detail ) somehow a part of me went "wait... whut? wheres the "sorry tali " part "...

the writer has butched mass Effect. more so than the endding. they keep spelling Kaidan as Kaid'n. and made him.. "Gofic"

That got a lol... I used to make custom outfits for Sims2, but never modded the game that far. I love what you've done with him though. 

Discussions of the US Military structure vs Alliance have been really interesting - I guess the Alliance part where Humanity combines to a joint force changes the balance somewhat. There's a lot more potential here for filling in details from ME writers of all backgrounds. I've read a fair few political thrillers that delve into the intricacies of politics and military, and I'd love to see that side of the Mass Effect universe explored in more detail. I'm reading Revelation between other tasks, and it's just a bit light and on the dry side, though it's nice to get a little backstory for Anderson. Just feels a bit shallow and predictable. While it's not bad so far (about half-way through) it's just not a page-turner. A completely different style by comparison - the latest Homeworlds comic about Tali is sweet.

I really would love to see more story about Kaidan and his squad, one that actually does their story justice, gives us a bit more perspective on what he did over those years. For him not to have met Shepard post-Horizon, not even contacted, there had to be a damn good reason, which means he was busy doing something really important.

No. Shepard's a hero. She/He can have anyone, but choose Kaidan (or whoever). In the case od Kaidan, even after Hprizon and Mars and Citadel. She/He really proved her/his love, so Kaidan is really sure he's the chosen one. And if someone trys to hit on Shepard, Kadian can simply throw the away . I can see Shepard actually enjoying the scene. M.

yeah i can't put grey at temples unless i do highlights or make it tip of hair or roots. and when i tried each of them they all look weird.

well what i will do is upload him to Mod the sims, and post up the packages i used to make him look that and his hair. but give him maxis outfits.

Slyborg, remember to get sims 3, sims 1 or 2 can't do sims 3 justice. also try and get all Expansion packs as well if you can afford it too hehe.

You're kidding? Shep is N7! And  from what we know about those - they are supposed to be able to swim in heavy armor with 2 avengers, greade thrower, and with parachute attached....and, probably, in something much worse then just muddy water...   

It's just Shep had not much time for beach rest or pool diving in ME1-3.  It was more like "Sand, sun, surf....and the Geth". 

I can see some of you, dear Kaidan lovers, know much more about RL military  then I do (I, actually, know very little of it, and I doubt our local system has  much (if anything) in common with those, which could be used as "prototype" for Alliance). So, I have a question here. 

I don't think I'll ever get in-game lore on this subject, but it's better then going into pure fantasies.  Personal close relations between two officers, how exactly it should look from "official" higher command point of view? I understand that in this "special" case we may say "that's Shep, everyone owes him\\her, and both are specters, they can tell to FO even to Hackett if needed". So,  if non-Shep Lt.Cmdr and non-Alenko Major were....well, spending some private time, and (very likely) not only while on shore leaves - what consequences  could it bring for them? Would anything change if two "legalize" their relations (marriage)? How do those things work IRL?

i also gave default clothes, so if you want to change his outfit you can, you can also modify him in create a sim mode as long as you paste it into saved sims. in documents folder

Just wrote this up and a possible DLC mission. What do you guys think? (For both VSs)

1. Dawn (Ash Specific)
Liberating Amateratsu from Cerberus operatives. A mainly fact-finding mission about a Sanctuary-like facility, very similar to Kasumi's loyalty mission in 2. You plant explosives, wiretaps, information jammers and so on throughout the facility and generally spend about an hour causing whatever kind of chaos you can. Ashley is with you, and in the last half of the mission, you find one of her sisters about to be 'intergrated' and transformed into a Nemisis. If you wait too long, the mission fails. If you save the sister, but she dies on the way to extraction, Romance with Ashley is terminated and she'll leave the Normandy to join Hackett. If the sister Survives, she will get a touching reunion with Ashley then charge Shepard (romanced or not) with looking after her. Que Shepard questioning which sister that was and asking if he should be worried about recieving an ass-kicking.

2. Liberation: Dusk (Kaidan specific)
Much the same as Ashley's though the location, layout of the facility and person of interest WILL chance. (Possibly to Kaidan's mother or Rahna.) If Shepard is romanced, the P.O.I will be thankful and tell you to look after her son/friend and vice versa to Kaidan. If Shepard is platonic, Kaidan's mother will be thankful that her son knows some good people. If the mother dies, Kaidan will be pushed into 'death seeker' terrority and a rampage of revenge. In Rahna's version, she admits that Kaidan is a good man and makes a subtle pass at him.

Results will affect the dialogue of the Cerberus raid.

I would not want to use that parachute after that little dip in the water.

For your question: I know nothing about the real military, but from an Alliance perspective, Spacer Sheps parents were both in the Alliance and were married.  So it's definitely possible.  We only hear about (now) Rear Admiral Hannah Shepard in the games though.   I don't know if they'd have to be of equal rank, or serve on different platoons/ships/time rotations.  Hopefully someone with actual knowledge will come along and clear this one up.


@Aurora:  I like these ideas.  I can definitely see one of Ashley's younger sisters joining up with Cerberus in a misguided notion (most likely through Cerberus propoganda) to try to help in the fight against the Reapers.  I like the set up.  I'm having a harder time trying to imagine Kaidan's mom in the same situation.  She'd probably stay on Earth trying to locate Kaidan's dad, who's gone MIA.  And personally, I'd rather not see Rahna in game, but I might be alone in that.  What about a member of Kaidan's biotic spec ops division?  Maybe he/she started out trying to infiltrate the Cerberus compound but then was duped into believing they were doing good work.  Once saved from receiving the Phantom class implants, he/she realizes what was really going on and is super-greatful for Kaidan and Shepard's intervention and then the 1st Biotic Spec Ops Comapany becomes a war asset, tipping the max available to 8000 so no one who doesn't want to play MP has to.

Edit: Also inspired by Strawbery's wish for more info on Kaidan's squad, which I share.  There's so much potential for extra awesomeness in there!

Thanks for liking my idea. But as I said, it was just an idea I typed up for a potential mission. Personally I would prefer to see Rahna in that situation and maybe have a cat-fight between Shepard and her with Kaidan on the sidelines no knowing if he should be intervening or recording it. Hehe.

Its a hard thing to answer.

If they were on shore leave, not on duty. I believe that would be alright, they are both officers.

But, if it happened on the ship. it would be fraternization. It would be a relationship between a "supervisor" and a subordinate, a relation within the chain of command. Shes the CO and he..works...under..her /snickers/. And with that, they would both get court-martialed, and possibly dishonorably discharged. (which sucks)

Also fraternization relationship-wise makes it punishable if the relationship between an officer and an enlisted personnal. in fact, if youre an officer you cant even marry an enlisted personnal. (this only ever happens if they got married before the enlisted person...enlisted)

So relation with your commanding officer, or anyone in your chain of command? Bad news. Relation with a enlisted personnal? Bad news. Both are fraternization.

They could get married, since they are both officers, but they could never serve on the same ship. They would have different postings, and both be in the military, but not together. 

@: Military discussion: Whats also interesting is that all the nations on earth still maintain their own militaries. You can think of the Alliance Military as... a Space United Nations Military, that actually gets things done. 

@leb: Moving day!

@ Kaidan possible DLC: I wouldnt want Rahna in it. He's over his past, and her, and I think it would just cause drama for drama's sake. It would be cool to deal with his squad. Imagine it like jacks squad, shepard can just stand back and let the squad of  biotic pain train roll through.
