Thanks for the images of synthed Kaidan. I did it just to see how the endind differed and got annoyed there was no real close up of him with sparkly green :P

He's more of a blue man, me thinks.

Yh, that was my exact purpose, I just wanted to see how Kaidan would turn out in Synthesis. Somehow, I think it has something to do with my laptop, his eyes went all Assuming-Control'd (except that they're green) when he looked at the camera after he walked off the ship so I decided to flycam it.

Generic yearly shooters being "revealed" at E3 now is making me appreciate ME3 a bit more than I did an hour ago.

I'd rather Mass Effect RIP than they make a "generic yearly shooter" set in the Mass Effect IP.

I'm glad you did. I don't like the synthesis ending but I really wanted to see what he'd look like and was disappointed when the camera focused on EDI and Joker.

So now that my life is complete I can go back to glowy blue. ^_^

@Kaidan Fan
Yeah, he had a good arc. Kill me for wanting it to be even better though. I can't help but think there was more of a romantic vibe with Steve than with Kaidan; there was more passive dialogue with Steve. I forgive that based on the idea that Kaidan had been waiting for Shepard and finally confessed his feelings when the galaxy is crumbling and how romantic that is. For femShep it's a bit different, and the arc feels much more complete since you can basically see how it unfolds through all three games.

@Batteries
Sigh

That would be so nice to have. Maybe they can include that dynamic with a theoretical LI DLC?

A small acknowledgment of "This person has biotics" would of been nice. Even if it wasn't as prominent as Liara's,a small glow in a hand while they touched Shepard's face or something would of been a good touch.

Qft.

Yeah, that would have been cool.

BioWare spend so much time for ME2 pretending Ash and Kaidan were the same person that they forgot he had biotics in every cut scene he had.  <_< Even when they finally got different dialogue for ME3 they street have him act like he's a soldier instead of primarily a biotic.  [insert oft-repeated rant about Dr. Eve and nonsensical beat-down here]

Agreed Legbamel agreed.

They do treat Kaidan as a non-biotic in every cinematic.

Having Kaidan use assault rifles in ME3 made sense to me; he is an alliance soldier, even if he's a strong biotic.
But yes, I do not remember any scene which had Kaidan use biotics
I mean, even in that confrontation with Shepard, he could of used his biotics to pull guns away or make a barrier to protect himself >_>

The Assault Rifle wasn't the issue, it was that they never showed him using his biotics... never once.   How hard could it be to have him active his barrier before Eva Core attacked him.  At least it would show he used biotics.  Even if the outcome was the same.

Edit: wow, lucky, every time I come ot the page there is a new post today thought it was moving faster but I've been lucky.

I would trade that stupid assult rifle for a submachine gun. I like having a fast recharge time on my squaddies' powers (Liara and Kaidan are my preferred party in ME3), but I don't want Kaidan just to have a dinky pistol and nothing else. SIGH.

He needs nothing else!  He will reap the Reapers like a mighty biotic wind!  Oh, wait, that wasn't him...

I was screaming at the screen when that stupid sexbot of a "doctor" grabbed him.  That sort of thing drives me nuts because it seems so lazy on the part of the developers.  Yeah, I know, they'd have had to have designed the cinematic differently depending on what powers the squadmates you chose for a particular mission had and that would have been too time-consuming and expensive.  But for a scene in which only two options exist (Kaidan or Ash) would it have been so hard to make separate sequences?

Whoops!  There went that rant again.  Have a glowy Kaidan to make up for it.

Unsurprisingly, this is one of Jho's.  I'm a sucker for her stuff.

Nope. Definitely not the only one.

Agreed. But I did love the dialogue from the Ardat-Yakshi mission
Shepard: Could you learn to float like that?
Kaidan: Umm... not in the next 10 minutes.

It seemed like there were fewer combat type cutscenes in ME3. In ME2 there were a lot of "look at my badass powers" scenes during the recruitment missions. Garrus's shot winging Shep, Thane's neck snapping and stabbity-stabbing, Samara's merc crushing, and Jack's ripping through mechs. Those things were cool! And totally missing from ME3.

I wonder if that in part stems from the fact that the only new squaddie you meet is James and he's introduced only to be immediately upstaged by the VS.  You've already seen the suave that each of the rest of them brought to the team.  Plus, based on the cutscenes we did have with Kaidan and Thane I'd hate to see what sorry results the rest of our badasses would have displayed.

You know, despite the fact that I was sad we never got to cure Thane and [insert huge rage filled rant here], his fight scene with Kai Leng was awesome. He shot at him, he did hand to hand combat, he even used his biotics. I <3 Thane. Kaidan didn't even get that, it was all pew pew and no glowy. :(

Yeah, but he lost.  The real Thane would not have lost and he certainly wouldn't have impaled himself on an inconveniently-held sword wielded by a masked weenie.  :crying:
[insert agreement and follow-up rant about Thane here]

Edited to add that I never get the floating dialogue, either.  I'm mildly bitter about it because I bet his voice is awesomely droll when he says it.  (Edited again for adverbial failure.)

On a related note, I think many of the fight scenes should be longer. The devs should have thrown everything each character got. I am also disappointed with Kaidan's biotics, also wanna see more of Miranda vs. Kai Leng, that would be cool, and Jack should b*itch that Atlas herself like she did with those mechs in ME2, and Grunt should face Rachni queen under some circumstances, etc, Idk, just an idea.

I had James and Kaidan with me for that mission and I got it.  I think Liara's dialogue takes priority if she's there.  I can't remember what it is though.  It's probably something about how horrible it is to see her species being turned by Reapers.  Welcome to the club, humanity's been dealing with husks for 3 years now.

Yes!  And Kaidan should've defended himself against Eva.  And also Zaeed should have blown something up.

Did you walk all the way over in the corner to the broken elevator?  That's all I got.
Could be a glitch.  Like the one I got in my first playthrough where Kaidan would only tell me he knew about a place on the Citadel with good steak instead of doing the Illusive Man dialogue (after scientists mission).  I spent half an hour searching for him on the citadel.
