Oh god, dat lip scar

I'd say "oh god dat high-res textures" *sigh* Looks like huge part of those pics are moded high-res shots. My laptop can see those only in its digital dreams. And as I browsed rest of pics, I noticed singed gloves once again. "Alenko" can be read on rigth hand (it is mirrored on left, as, I guess, it shares same texture pattern). I know that high-res pack includes it,along with many nice armor\\weapon detailes, but can't say for sure about original game textures.

Will try to look closer soon, I'm going to start my second ME3-run finaly. At least will do Mars. And I damn hope that EC will affect ongoing playthrough. I'd hate to restart just because of dlc.

You may be right, those do look like high-res textures and beyond what my computer could probably run real-time as well.

Anyone know if the new chapater for "Four Years Later" is going to go up today?

Oh yeah, sure "I will stay up just a little, just to import from ME2 and see Earth prologue", aha...And then do Mars and go to Citadel and...well,you know how it happens.  Lucky it's not my turn tomorrow to wake up with kids, lol.

But I checked that writing on his gloves. On in-game textures it's just some unclear letters (1280*800, best settings my Gef 9600GMT can do). And THIS is what makes me wish an upgrade BADLY:

I went through mar's on Insanity with a Infiltrator with a just-imported shepard from ME2...

holy-mother-of-god i died too many times to count...

and one funny moment Liara decided to run into a grenade and gets downed...

best moment ever.

I did Grissom as Adept on Insanity it wasn't bad until the atrium, it was more difficult than the final room. Liara pulled a similar stupid move with the Atlas in the room where you meet up with Jack. /sigh

Quick question, maybe it's already been answered, but, still...

How old is Kaidan in ME3? I know there was a line in ME1 where he said he was 32...so I'm guessing at Horizon he was 34, maybe pushing 35. Just wondering, cuz I'm kinda fleshing out a story idea...

ME3 is like 3 to 3.5 years after ME1. Like Doodle said he's between 35 and 36.

ME1 was 2183
ME2 was 2185
ME3 was 2185-86

Kaidan was 32, 34, 35 in those years respectively.

I never understood why so many people disliked Kaidan. He's by far my favorite LI in this series. Many people say he's "boring". I'll admit he's an average guy for the most part, but I think that's what I like about him the most. He never pretended to be all high and mighty like some of the other male characters did. He was just himself and he spoke his mind. He has high morals and I think that's something to be valued and not mocked. Hence why he was so upset in ME2 when he finds out Shepard is working with Cerberus. He's upset because he cares. He's the average guy that women fall in love with everyday and in my opinion, one of the main reasons why he's so appealing. =)

I do wish my fepShep and Kaidan could have had more one on one choice dialog. I felt like they didn't really have as many personal conversations in ME3 as they did in Mass Effect. Maybe just because the tension and rush of the war. But I was still hoping for a little more on that. Otherwise everything else was amazing such as the voice acting by Raphael Sbarge.

Kaidan Alenko is an incredible character in the mass effect trilogy and I will always be a Kaidan fan! =)

About three of Kaidan's dialogues didn't even fire for me on my current playthrough 9_9

which is pretty much all of them except the dinner scene.

I had the dinner scene after doing the mission with Jacob, so apparently I locked out that whole conversation about the Ex-Cerberus scientists being good people. he just says "we should go snack on the citadel!" after we had dinner while sitting in the crew room.

His convo in his room (starboard deck right?) about his parents didn't fire for me for some reason.

And I keep feeling like there's a third one I missed but I can't remember what it may of been :(

Did you ask about his family in the hospital?

I think he doesn't trigger the post-Cerberus Scientists dialog if you do that mission immediately after the coup, but I could be wrong. Try doing a different one, then Jacob, then see if Kaidan will talk about it.

You can get a lot of ambient dialog with Kaidan as you go along. Make sure you talk to him after every mission (N7 or not).

I wonder. Is it just me or anyone else is also gets crazy when people treat Kaidan\\Ash as ONE character (VS)?..

There is an ongoing thread about why would Undina promote him\\her to spectre. I don't understand how can there be some univresal motivation about it, and even less I understand how people really make no difference between them. I know BW screwed both, and they share same damn scenes (horizon\\coup) which prevents Kaidan from using his biotics in both cases...I feel there is something wrong about this. Could tolerate it for ME2 (as not much difference for 1 cut and a pic on the table), but in ME3 they ARE hell different. And Kaidan does not get drunk aboard, lol. I don't like how they treated Ash in ME3, but that's not the matter. They are different, anyway, no matter if I like her or not. Thoughts?

I did the Jacob mission, then read Kaidan's email about dinner on the Citadel, and it overrode his convo about the ex-Cerberus scientists. When I reloaded and didn't check my email, the convo triggered.

Such a pity his non-ambient convos are so easy to override/miss. I missed the Investigate options in the hospital the first time, the convo about his parents twice, and the convo about the ex-Cerberus scientists as stated above. @_@ Come on BW, just let us love Kaidan!

Well, look at who is the largest demographic for Mass Effect.  Males.  Specifically, young straight males.   Of course they aren't going to like Kaidan, he's a threat to their ego.   :police:
I agree Kaidan is by far my favorite LI too.  Unsated in ME1 do to game mechanics and agreed again, too rushed in ME3

Doesn't  look like it got updated :(

Too bad, but I would be willing to wait for an embarassingly long time for an update on that story.

They did post this last week though:

Anyways, for those who aren't reading it, get out there and read it! It's awesome!

Grissom Academy is for some reason the hardest mission for me.  Wish I had Kaidan there to make it easier/more interesting. :crying:

Then I want one of Kaidan using Jacob's shirless situp animation... it's only fair, right? ;)

Damn straight! My mind might actually implode if I ever saw that though, so maybe Bioware are right to save us from Smexy overload....on second thoughts, nah, would be totally worth it.

@AndreasShepard - that Kaidan artwork is amazing! Really beautiful.

@Graceyn - thank you for bringing the MassErrect Kaidan 100 to my attention....my oh my!

I think part of the reason that they are so drastically different in ME3 was becuase of complaints in ME2 that they were essentially the same character, and that which one you chose to save was irrelevant unless you romanced one of them.

As far as the promotion thing goes--I've kind of subconciously headcannoned that Udina made the request because he/she was one of Shepard's former crew so it was more a political move or for show or  something.  This will probably get me virtually blundgeoned, but I never really saw Kaidan or Ashley as Spectre material.  But then again, when Shepard was made a Spectre, I kind of thought the same thing about him/her in retrospect.  Especially when you think about other Spectre NPCs like Nihlus, Saren (especially in the books), and Vasir who are all totally badass.  They all make Shepard look like kind of a crappy Spectre.

Edit:  He sure is cute though
