Has anyone else on 360 had their achievements for ME3 reset to 0 and then go over the 55 that are listed. I have two to go and my count is 64 of 55. It is stupid. Then some of the ones like highjacking the atlas which shows complete on xbox live, is coming up blank and not rereleasing as I complete it again. It is really starting to bother my OCD.

So I did Rachni, every single side questy thing before Tuchanka, then I did the genophage cure, then citadel, then I had Kaidan with me for the platoon and bomb missions.

So, Ranoch goes post-citadel here, as I see, not before. I think that's how I'll make it then. Hate the idea of fighting dat Big Bad Reapa with no Kaidan at my side, you know...8P

Love this one! 8P You know, I always headcanoned that it was Kaidan who was in charge for huge part of ME1 crazy mountain drivings <-) I imagine what was going on inside *sigh*

Ah, sorry for the late reply...went to school for a bit. Anyways after Sur Kesh, the Rachni mission and Platoon mission are activated. You can do either of them (only one) to unlock the Genophage Cure Tuchanka mission. I prefer to do the Rachni one to unlock the Genophage Cure--to save the Turian Platoon and Turian Bomb mission for Kaidan later. Not only do you get Kaidan about Ash dialogue, but you are saved from the hassle of worrying about the bomb suddenly going off because of it being a timed mission

*Edit1: To elaborate further, after the Genophage Cure you are forced to do the Citadel Coup misson (and get Kaidan's assets yey). Afterwards, Rannoch is activated. Although you can freely finish the Turian missions after the Citadel Coup, I suggest to save them until after Rannoch to get Tali and additional banter with her and Kaidan about Ash in engineering.

@laikabaws as you explained it first time, I understood that you somehow managed to do Ranoch BEFORE citadel, which puzzled me a lot. But, I think, I got the right idea of what order should I take after all. Cure--->citadel[+Kaidan aboard]---->Rannoch--->rest of Tuchanka(which are platoon triggering the bomb), right? So be it.

 Speaking of naughty Kaidan... Do you remember the conversation Shepard and Kaidan have just before Ilos in ME1 ?
Kaidan calls Shepard "Commander" and she respond that "he shouldn't call her that" and that "she shouldn't even be wearing this uniform".
Do you remember the thoughtful Kaidan at that line ?

Ah, I love this conversation. He also says that fraternization would be only a minor point on their court-martial. If you think about it ... isn't this the most mature kind of rule-breaking?
He knows he's breaking rules. He does it because he thinks it's necessary and can't not do it. He accepts that there will be consequences. Either he doesn't survive or he'll lose his rank or his job.

I find this kind of sexy. This silent resolve that we know what we're doing and we're going to do it no matter how much it will cost us. We also don't expect to be spared (survival or not).

I feel an echo of this resonating in the goodbye scene where they acknowledge that this is goodbye and you get a feel that there is very little hope. It's incredibly sad but I like it this way. (I'm very unromantic and too much of a thinker myself.) If that makes sense to anyone else.

Don't know if this is Shenko-specific or a general notion.

I know this might be a bit slow to mention, and probably incorrect but this is my interpretation.

Correct me if I'm wrong. But, Kaidan is a Major, and (Kat) Shepard is a LC in ME3, Correct?
They're both officers in a time of war. They're both SpecTRes.
Technically, while Shepard is the CO of the Normandy unit, Kaidan is the CO of another unit entirely but keeps his flag onboard the Normandy. Even without them being SpecTRes, is there anything in the regs saying they can't have a relationship?

Also, I liked how Kaidan developed from this shy reserved man into this very confident, laidback genltemen. I just wish I could see the development inbetween.

The moment they are working together and in the same chain of command their relationship would be a problem.
Shepard is in command of the Normandy, Kaidan is reassigned to the Normandy and following her orders. They are also for the most part acting in their capacity as Alliance officers.

I totally agree with you klarabella, about the goodbye scene... I was so sad the first time I saw it, the resignation on Shepard face is very heartbreaking :'(
And I can't help but think that when Kaidan kisses her in front of everybody, he's like "I don't care about the regs, we may be dead in a few hours, no one will prevent me to show her how much I care".
I know some people resent this differently, arguing that no one cares since they are on the eve of the final assault, but we know Kaidan has always been a by-the-book kind of guy.
Pursuing a relationship with his ranking officer during shore leave or in the intimacy of her cabin is one thing, assuming it in front of some of the Alliance brass and his biotic unit is quite another.

Thanks, I'm in the middle of the coup mission, I would have finished it but my muse was bugging me about that FanFic so I had to finish that last night.   :happy:

the main thing that got me bawling in the goodbye, was hearing how broken up, Shepard and Kaidan are.
it made me kinda think, that in one way, Shepard and Kaidan's romance is ..kinda of a tradgey. they fall in love [ME1} there is Shepards Death and resarection by a terroist group.[ME2] then they reunite, start working on their issues.. and Kaidan is injered. they recounited. though the vists.. but are once again have to face off agenst each other. they rebound as lovers.. only to fight a battle they both know they could die...

We don't have any codexed alliance military regulations. Only thing in-game that I remember - ME1 line about "complicating chain of command", which Lt. Alenko usually does not. Or something like that. In ME3 they don't seem to talk over such "minor inconveniences" at all.. 8P

But I tried to think this all over basing on our RL military rules(may be somewhat different, but better then nothing). You could try to read this thread back (about 10-20 pages or so, I think). But if put it short - it IS a problem, even if two (eventually) get married. While ME3 command has bigger problems then Shepard's close relations and morality.

After ME3...*sigh*... after only ending where Shep lives, nothing but headcanons and speculations exist. No one knows what exactly happens to what, but in case they somehow made it back together, they still may follow "Shepards are Heroes do not read regulations" and\\or "we're spectres, Hackett, hack off with your rules". Those are existing (slightly renegadish imo) "backdoors" for some kind of everafter. Which even fit the codex (or what remained of it).

Unless they "fix" Normandy scene to make sense and be part of canon... (ZOMGPLZDONT!)

Yeah, the London goodbye got me  too the Garrus one got me crying too.   It's even more sad for a mShep+Kaidan never having had the chance to really connect in ME1.  

I *so* wanted to survive to get back to Kaidan.  It's what got me to write my little FanFic music video idea.  So Shep+Kaidan can have a happy ending.
