I think you're ok.  You should be able to buy the whiskey and give it to him after Palaven.

I played my 1st ME3 playthrough by romancing Kaiden and I didn't know about the whiskey at all under the "date". The whiskey doesn't affect the romance as long as you keep visiting him after he has rejoined Normandy and say nice things to him throughout the game.

I think you're ok.  You should be able to buy the whiskey and give it to him after Palaven.

Thanks!  I had an email from him (and Thane) when I returned to the Normandy.  Off to see shirtless Kaidan now...

Coolness, I'll definitely check it out and let you know my thoughts when finished.  Read a little of the beginning and it seems pretty great so far.  I'm nervous that it's based around synthesis ending though, it'll be like watching Titanic and knowing they're headed for that iceberg!  lol

You're definitely good.  I'm almost certain that you can't talk to him before going to Palaven, as he remains unconscious.  You'll have an email from him after Palaven, just go back then, give him the whiskey (can't hurt!), then go back again when you get another email (maybe after SurKesh?).

Hey, guys? I am attempting my second ME3 run on my Renegon, who romanced Liara in ME, Thane in ME2 and is so far loyal to Liara in ME3. I thought I'd try to play the field between Liara and Kaidan again, but I suspect I missed my chance as he didn't have any flirty dialogue in the hospital (ie the "Are you flirting with me?" line). Too late or is it still salvagable?

I am only as far as post Surkesh, so I could still reload to a save on Mars and only lose a few hours.
Lso, do I have to be 100% nice to him or can I renegade here and there?

I think you are safe. If you are paragon on Mars and give him booze, he asks you about flirting. If you are renegade on Mars and/or don't give him booze, he doesn't say flirting line, but you can still romance him. Romances are fixed only after Citadel mission (Cerberus coup). In that case you must be paragon to initiate romance. And you get only one chance to either initiate a romance or friendzone characters. M.

The IT guy set up a remote access, I pointed him to the executable and instead of opening that he opened a naughty Kaidan drawing I saved ages ago, gloing biotic ass and all.
