I know what you mean.  It feels like I've been following that fic forever now.  So worth the wait though.  I've been filling my time with DA fanfic lately because the game has been out so long that most of the fics are finished for good anyway.  I ended up not being able to resist Anders in my DA2 playthrough.  I clearly have an unnatural attraction to glowing blue men.

You bet .  Kal'Reegar was awesome, and Adam Baldwin is awesome, and I really don't understand why they couldn't work him into the Rannoch story somehow.  But that's okay, I fixed it :innocent:.

Wow we broke 2k pages, I haven't been to this topic in forever. Belated congrats? LOL

Guys I also just realized that if you kill the VS on the Citadel with low-trust, they say something else to you as they die. example: if Ash dies and she hates you, she hopes the Reapers send you "straight to hell," as opposed to saying she had to "take a stand."

Does anyone know what does Kaidan says when he dies with low trust? I can't find a video on this.

Yeah. Hurts even more for a loyal Shepard when Ash says that... of course, I try and save the VS in all my walkthroughs. There's only one in which I didn't, and that was a pure accident, missed the interrupt and my rep was too low to convince them. Quit the game and started that playthrough again.

Worked the second time.

I tend to forget about all the other characters stories and just focus on Kaidan.  Finish a mission?  Straight to him to see what new things he has to say.  I am now replaying ME2 and ME3 just so I can see the other stories.

I actually started writing my own.  It explores Kaidan's emotional state the first few weeks after the Normandy crash.  He's trying to lead the survivors and stay strong while dealing with loosing Shepard.   It ends happy, the ending was the first thing I posted.   

Link is in my sig if you're interested.   I'm working on the next chapter and have the outline for the 4th created too.

Sorry it's a little late, my editor was in Brazil last week...  Lots of Kaidan - amusing, sweet, sad, angsty, lovey.  Also my totally-and-completely-non-canon-and-I-don't-care Tali/Kal'Reegar pairing .

Wow, I missed two chapters.  D'oh. Don't think I can catch up on everything for the past two weeks.  Anything important going on?  Besides ME3 on WiiU, which I don't actually care about, and by the way, are we still calling it that?  I thought Nintendo would've come up with something better for E3.

Alright then, time to go read Graceyn's updates.  I've been terribly Kaidan deprived of late.

@leborum, @laikabaws:  You guys rock <3.  I'm glad I can provide some enjoyment during this interminable wait for an Extended Cut that we will probably be disappointed in...

@leborum:  Yeah, it's still called the WiiU.  On the whole, E3 was rather a letdown.  Only two new games looked interesting - Watch Dogs, a 3rd-person Deus Ex-style action/adventure from Ubisoft, and StarWars 1313, a "mature" Star Wars game set in the underbelly of Coruscant.  Except for "coming later this year" stuff for SWTOR and the ME3 on WiiU announcement, Bioware was a no-show.

@laikabaws:  I kind of wanted to expand that "cabin sexytimes" a bit, but I don't want to run off readers who didn't read 57 chapters to suddenly find themselves in a smut fic :innocent:.  Plus, writing physical intimacy is hard, lol!  But we will get back around to some of that occasionally...


FYI, I've started noodling over some ideas for continuing the story post-end of ME3.  It has to be a compelling storyline, and not just a "we're not ready to let go of these characters yet so let's drag things out", to be worth it, but I'm...thinking about it.

There's actually a lot of really good Kaidan art being created out there now, I am quite happily surprised .  Here's a beautiful piece from the wonderful Sin-Vraal:

I like the "I was doing my duty" stuff more, actually. Not sure why, probably because it's what I say when people moan about how Kaidan or Ashley wouldn't just let them kill Udina.

I really hope this is a scene from  the sequel of sinvraal's fic series. I'd love to see her take on ME3. Her fics Xun, Exitus and Resono were awesome.

I support this. 

But I'm also kindof anxious for the EC.  It'll be interesting to see how that plays out.  There hasn't been any news for a while, and that's probably a good thing the way people shred everything to tiny bits.  I'm relatively confident that there will be some additional Kaidan content, as we know Raphael Sbarge is doing additional voicework, but then again that could be for some other Single Player DLC.  Anyway, I guess the EC still has the potential to color the way I see the ending (haha, "color," get it?), and would influence any storyline I tried to spin off of it. 

Naturally, I have no worries about Graceyn's ability to do it justice no matter what.

@Graceyn, I just started reading your fic today, and I have to say, I love the "voice" of your Shepard so far. Admittedly, I'm only a few chapters in, but I read all of the one-shots you did, just saving the Parallel Realities until I get that far into the story.

I haven't been on fanfiction.net in a looooong time, not since publishing a couple of my own things there years ago. I'll have to actually sign in so I can leave some reviews and look for other good ME stories now.

I'm also going to go a bit renegadier with this Shep, so I used the "you screwed up" line to Kaidan after the beacon and I felt so bad about it.  Then later when talking to him in the mess I couldn't bring myself to do the renegade options--for once he needs to just stop being so adorable!

My femshep has been a total rene-beeyatch to almost everyone since I killed Kaidan, it's sort of my way to deal with losing him.  Plus now I regret killing him b/c the main reason I did it was so that I could romance Garrus but then found out later you can only start a Garrus romance in ME2. This character isn't an import so I was stuck with choosing Liara or Samantha Traynor and I'm not a big fan of either.
The lesson I learned here is never kill Kaidan, under any circumstance

I'm currently replaying ME2 as a renegade FemShep(first time), just to romance Garrus. I had to avoid ME1, or I would never be able to avoid Kaidan or kill him on Virmire. So now I don't know how I'll survive having a Shepard around Kaidan without romancing him...this is torture. I might have to kill him or send him to Hackett, so I can focus on Garrus...
