Okay, choice statements from the Podcast (not quotes, but I tried to be accurate). It's an interview by Jessica Merrizan with Casey Hudson and Mac Walters, audio only:
"Maybe it didn't come across that those characters [Shepard's team] still had a future..." (Casey)
"We didn't intend to make people think everyone would starve to death." (Casey)
"There will be several minutes (give or take, depending on your choices) of additional content plus an epilogue sequence." (Casey)
"Shows a glimpse of what the future holds as a result of your decisions, so the player can say "I can see the choices that I made throughout the series playing out."" (Casey)
"It'll make you want to playthrough again and make different choices to see how they play out." (not sure)
Lots of "we love our fans, we really do!" statements.
"It's not so much about adding new things as it is about taking the things that are there and making them shinier." (Mac...)
"It's been a labor of love to put these extra scenes in and show more of what's going to happen to the ME universe after we say goodbye to it." (Casey)
To access the new content, start with a save game before attacking the Cerberus Base.

Me:
It sounds like it's exactly what they said it was going to be. I imagine there will be scenes of children and puppies playing happily together on various planets, and hardworking men and women building buildings...
No idea what the they are going to do with the Normandy crash and the jungle planet...I swear, if they show our crew building a village, growing old and multiplying, I will...be unhappy.
They didn't say anything about the "Shepard lives" ending, and whether we might see what happens to Shepard in that one. I hope that doesn't mean "nothing."
Yeah, I don't know...maybe it will at least make it "better." For good or ill, we'll know a lot sooner than I was expecting.
