On another note, I somehow just lost Miranda's loyalty after siding with Jack. My Paragon bar is half full, and my Renegade bar has one section filled as well, but both dialogue options were greyed out, forcing me to choose sides without being able to make them like me. I don't know how I screwed up, but I'm a sad panda.  That never happened with my full Paragon Shep. Maybe this Shep I'm playing now is too much on the fence? I want everyone to like me! /weeping

Its a shame about Kaidan's un-popularity, but honestly, most if not all the Human squadmates are disliked to some degree; Ashley is too ****y, Jacob is dull, Kaidan is boring, Etc.

The only one who has a 'Popular vote' amoung most gamers is Miranda, and WE ALL KNOW why THAT is.....

Because of the great personality she has....

I think it's concept art, seeing as Liara looks slightly different in this poster as opposed to the gameplay they showed. (ATLAS CRUSH!!!!!!!!!) I hope Kaidan retains his ME1/ME2 look, he looks too pale in that pic.

Maybe I'm just contrary, but I almost always find something to like about a character-- especially if someone says they don't like them. I think Bioware is a rare company because they write complicated characters. Characters that will BAIT you into forming an opinion at first, only to have to think about it and ammend that opinion the more you play the game. People who say Ashley is racist have at ONE point shut their ears and put tinfoil hats on their heads, ignoring Ashley's bravery alongside the salarians, and her ****slapping of the racist protest leader in the citadel. Ash's last words with the salarians if they all die: "Human or aliens, we're all just animals" is so honest and beautiful in a brutal way.

If you read her words in the entire game, she's never racist, because her opinions about other races are never from a basis of superiority, malice, or disdain. It's like what goes on with us right now when we form ties with a nation we're unfamiliar with-- is it really a lasting bond, or will they throw you to the wolves when they're in danger?

I don't know what opinion most form of Miranda other than the easiest and most lazy assumptions. But then I notice that her eyes flicker with softness and sympathy when she thinks no one is looking-- the almost motherly look she gives Shepard in the infirmary-- the mother-hen mode she has with Oriana-- her misguided attempt to help Jacob, etc.

I know everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I also know that that same laziness and knee-jerk simplicity is what keeps people from seeing how cool and layered (and badass) Kaidan is, so I try to look deeper.

Hey, i've got nothing agianst Yvonne Strahovski, I just didn't like: 1. Her character's a ****, 2. She has a perminate smirk on her face - making any attempt to take her serious hard, and 3. she is SUCH fanservice its actually a turn-OFF.

BUT this isn't a 'I hate Miranda' Thread, this is a 'I love Kaidan' thread....which my Shepard does.....mutiple times

A bait, or red-herring.  I have some very in-depth theories about the character-- that she's wanted kids for a long time, and that her father would have "designed" the flaw in her t hat keeps her unable to have children of her own-- because he's that much of a control freak that he wouldn't allow her to bear his grandchild by chance or free-will. And this may be me projecting, but I've known so many women-- so many PEOPLE who are scary smart, but put on a sexy front. The people who only see the front and make judgments are thoe ones they screen out. Like a litmus test. I think we all know that person.

And I may be on a soapbox but I'm so let down that in the future people make judgments on others based on sex or peceptions of sex, and the way women dress. And especially from Asari. Really? Would "****ty" and "****" and ****ty clothing even translate to their culture? Way to go, Bioware-- perpetuating that the most misogynistic people could sometimes be women.  That's not the future I see.

Okay, a bad thought occurred to me. So, forgive me. But..remember that concept art/screen shot of some "assassin" that broke thru Shep's sunroof thing in her cabin and was crouched on her bed? Well, someone was talking about it and mentioned that the armor doesn't look like standard Cerberus armor...yada, yada..

Then I was looking at it and it hit me like a thunderclap in my chest. It looked like....Kaidan. The body build. The lil circle thing on the side of the hip of the armor.

I thought, "My God, is Spectre Kaidan coming to bring in rogue and/or former Spectre Shepard?" Maybe the Council and Alliance didn't feel like waiting for Shep to turn herself in.

I went back to Horizon vids trying to check the armor. It looked similar except for the lil lights. The body build and everything.

The pic is hard to find. i mean it's there. It came out in game informer, but seemed to have disappeared. There's only one shot of it on the google. And I know alot of ppl assumed it was Cerberus, or Kai Leng.....but...

what kinda armor is that intruder wearing?
