I'm all ready for the EC tomorrow. I loaded my save ready, picked out my outfit for the final mission haha Also put on a nice casual outfit for Kaidan scene again before Cerberus base. I have 6000 odd EMS with 100%. Been using that crappy app on iOS to maintain it at 100% and now I find out I didn't need to >.>
Excited now, but have to expect the worst, it's going to be terrible. But surely they'll be more Kaidan, Sbarge did record more lines... so hopefully it's something awesome.
What's everyone picking for the ending?
I'm definitely going destroy, originally I picked synthesis, I was brainwashed by that starkid idiot. I also on my first run didn't have enough EMS main destroy ending because bioware lied and said we didn't need to play MP for the 'best' ending.

plus shepards goal was to MAKE THEM GO BOOOM (which they didn't )
so i've always picked destroy because i don't want kaidan to have green eyes and some green thingies wherever >_>

oh and i personally wanted to destroy the reapers.

Control is the one choice I could never pick. Absolutely evil.

Synthesis is repugnant to me. Even the notion of it offends me. But the problem is I can see the skewed world-view that would lead somebody to think it was an appropriate option to put in the game, so if I force myself to think of it the way they (misguidedly) intended, I could pick it. And they want you to pick it, so you know you'll get the most upbeat ending. (The picture of synthesized Kaidan that was getting posted here earlier makes me sick, though, so maybe I'd only pick it on games where Ashley survives.)

Destroy comes with too high a price, but I will almost always pick it just by virtue of the other two being so disgusting. If Shepard survives and reunites with Kaidan, I don't think I'll ever pick another option, to be honest. Sorry, EDI.

If there was a way to destroy the Reapers but trade Shepard's life for the geth and EDI, I would take it. (Well, I'd live to reunite with Kaidan at least once, of course!)

I think I originally went with synthesis because one, I didn't want to kill the Geth and EDI after doing all the crap to make them work together. Secondly I honestly forgot which was which, I was just like 'what the hell was that load of crap coming out of that kid's mouth' Then just walked down the centre because I was unsure which side was destroy or control.
But now picking synthesis makes the whole trilogy pointless, if you want that, you might as well had just let Saren do his stuff in the first game.

I also chose Synthesis the first time because I couldn't remember which side was which (and subsequently died because I took too long figuring out). Plus video game logic: the center is always the best path. But after seeing the results it didn't sit right with me and I've picked Destroy ever since. Tomorrow I'm going to pick Destroy first; then out of curiosity I'm going to pick the other ones too (just to see how "varied" these endings are). If Destroy winds up being the best one (i.e. Kaidan reunion) then I'm going to replay that one again.

when star brat was talking he said "control" i was like wha?
then he said synthesis and i was like "intresting" so before i picked i actually thought about picking synthesis... SO GLAD i didn't...

woulda been one big mistake.

I've been back to playin MP to get my readiness up and trying to get my New Game + up to the right point.

I always pick Destroy. I love EDI and the Geth but I didn't play 3 games to let them come out alive. They've killed countless civilizations for who knows how long, they don't deserve repentance no matter how paragon my Shepard is.

I always press spacebar everytime that starkid open his mouth
anyway, since that rebellion dlc thing my ME3 copy always lag at the menu

I ran out of time the first time. I wanted to choose destroy but I honestly forgot which side the starbrat said it was on so I wandered/hobbled over to control only to be like "woops!" and tried to hobble back but it took too long.

I wanted destroy the first time, but it was 2 a.m. and I honestly did not see the ramps branch out to the sides. I thought I had to go towards the beam to make my final choice. Had to reload and that's when I was startled with how the ending was pretty much the same.

I did run through the game several more times because I wanted my money's worth out of the CE edition and to have different games ready for the EC dlc. I had one gal that was pro-Cerberus all the way in ME2 and I *loved* that game. Fantastic roleplay. It was all for nothing in ME3, obviously, none of the choices paid off, and I had to dance around the dialog with TIM by picking responses that were more like "let's work together" instead of "you're dead wrong!" Ended the game with control so I'm especially curious how that worked out.

Really looking forward to new Kaidan content.

I was invited to dinner with Kaiden before the Thessia (?) mission, but I realized that his talk was circled around "being friends". So i reloaded my save (thinking I might have jumped at his invite too early), did the mission first and then went to meet him for dinner.... and that's how i was able to romance with him..

I spent my whole weekend getting my shep ready for the EC.. I ended up useing Save Editor to raise my EMS..[ thank you Miss Allers, you have a use after all]
does' anyone know what time it's out in Austarila? i'm thinking it will be bout 4-5am  tomorrow morning.. but it would be nice to have some clarifcation..

I go for destroy, hate the fact that it affects EDI and the Geth but any chance for my Shep is live is what I'm going to go for, every other option seems weird to me.

I did choose synthesis once, I can get why people go for it but its the fact that the decision is solely made by Shep so I feel that it's basically as bad as forcing people to be Reapers.

I can play till tonight after work but I hope it's semi-okay.

Just want to see what happens to Kaidan.

I think somebody said that release time will be around 2 am PST which I think is in about 3 hours. I guess it will be made available everywhere then, but who knows.
I'm on central european time, it's about 8 in the morning, and the EC hasn't been released yet. I'm hoping to be able to play it when I get home from work.


I will pick destroy for my first playthrough of the EC. I think it's the best option and I don't care too much about the Geth. I just want the Reapers dead, that has been the aim since the first game and I'm sticking to it. Control is horrible, and I don't think merging with machines is a good idea. It's just wrong, I keep hearing Mordin's "no soul...replaced by tech" every time I think about picking synthesis. if I can't have destroy + Shenko reunion in the EC I will be terribly disappointed.

Based on what they said I don't think they're changing things, more like filling in the blanks, i.e. Joker gets an order to pick up your squadmates on Earth or something ridiculous to explain how they all abandon Shepard and end up on Gilligan's Island. So I'm still taking Kaidan with me to the beam; it just feels right to have them together for the final mission. If you're worried about it I would save often on Earth, because I know you can save right before Anderson picks you up. And I think you pick your final squadmates right after the goodbyes and your speech, right?

Anyways, good night to all and good luck to everyone. I will be back here tomorrow after playing through ALL endings.

It may be your last chance to see him, even with the extended cut.

Squad officially dies with only very low ems (I wonder if it's possible at all to get this result, and waht kind of play must it be after they turned top-best ending 4\\5k into 3200.., previous number for dead squad was something like 1800). And then you see their bodies in blood on your way to beam. If you don't - they live (don't ask how, soon we'll know...I suppose...) At some point there was even a short cut scene with their death (can be found on YT, but not in game).

Though on my first run, which happened late at night (or better say early morning) I was about to cry aloud when I saw a male body in blue heavy at the base of the beam, aside with something highly like turian... Later on YT I understood that male in blue armors is always there, and "turian" was, actually, corpse of our dearest Mr. M.Shields, true Hero of the Reaper War, and not Garrus at all. 8P

i believe your teammates would show up as the "dead" ones as you walk toward the beam if you have a really low military effectiveness rating

that happend on my first PT of 3.. I took Kaidan and Garrus with me, cause I'd use them in one to defeat Saren, and i didn't do the Sidequests because i wanted to playthough the main story... so.. yeah... it was sad, that Shep romanced Kaidan and she fell on her knees when she saw his... yeah..
