I think any ending other than destroy is just heart breaking with Kaidan. How can we leave him? I cried with synthesis ending after doing Destroy first. (EDI voice over is my favourite though) Control is worse I think, it would be torture for 'godshep' to look over Kaidan.
I think I'll use synthesis for my Liara romance. She's the only romance that I would consider that with, with the whole lifespan issue, better for her to lose Shepard now rather than later down the road and she'd have to live like 800 years without him.

Lol, truth be told her "gift" is shepards babies...

I love Garrus and I liked that scene, but it made more sense to me when it was Kaidan, because they already have a history of being torn apart. I don't know, I just feel more attached to Kaidan (Garrus is my Shepard's bro lol)

Yeah I noticed that too. They should have let Javik sacrifice himself instead... I mean, he wants to kill himself anyway and it'll justice for his race.

Honestly, I don't think I'll be playing any more Mass Effect games if they make anymore. Even if Shepard was the main protagonist and we had all our old crew back, it would just feel... cheap, after the way they ended ME3. Even if the whole game is about reuniting Shepard and his/her love interest it wouldn't be right, plus you know it would just be EA trying to milk whats left of the cash cow rather than letting the Bioware team come up with a completely new game, in a new setting.

Yeah, the Kaidan one was horribly bitter sweet... or, just bitter. I'm hoping Casey Hudson or one of the dev's just says "y'know what? Yes, Shepard is reunited with his/her crew and love interest."

I'm definitely painting a happy reunion or Kaidan/Shepard future piece now.  Although I would have preferred to see them reunite in game I guess Bioware wants us to imagine our own futures for our characters and now that they've given us the possibility of a reunion it'll make painting that more enjoyable since it'll feel more valid.  Painting those images before felt more like a way to cope with depression heh.

Although I still have a lot of problems with the narrative and the way the choices are presented (the dialogue with the kid is just terrible, filled with useless exposition), I think I would have been more content if simply one person had acknowledged that Shepard was actually alive. Just a little something after the breath scene that let me know "Yep. He killed the Reapers and got his guy."

But please do. A picture that's not war-ravaged Earth with Kaidan and a Shepard-on-the-mend would be wonderful to see right now.

And we got our "I love you", so it can't all be bad. :-)

Another reason not to pick synthesis is that EDI mentions something about them maybe reaching immortality (I think she did anyway) and Kaidan shouldn't be alone for all eternity, how dreadful.

The whole thing about them transcending existence is just really wrong.

I'm all for a natural means to become something more than corporeal, but this epilogue for synthesis took it from offensive to just plain freaky.

It gives me the creeps, and to see Kaidan... I get a disgusted look on my face whenever seeing him with that crazy overlay. I really didn't like how clearly they try to force this option onto you as the "right" choice.

I totally thought it was just the "renegade" spoke, like I'd say the same thing, only a bit nastier. I usually don't screw around in the core, so I wouldn't have ever seen it in my game. :-)

Is there a video anywhere of the fail destroy ending where Shepard doesn't survive? I want to see what Kaidan does then (does he put the name on the wall like with synthesis and control?), and I also want to see when Earth gets vaporized.

I totally laughed about the stupid Reapers repairing the relays in control. Fan-service if I have ever seen it. (It's funny, though, because the way they peck at the relay makes them look like Keepers—they're just sort of tapping. It's kind of cute, actually.)

Why did the people who wanted to tell the kid off get fan-service (they even made it about Liara's capsule), and the people who wanted the Reapers to repair the relays get fan-service, and me going on about why the Reapers aren't treating us as brothers in synthesis (oops, probably should have kept my mouth shut) getting fan-service, but people who just wanted to see proof of Shepard alive get nothing?

I think I saw Miranda, but I wasn't paying too close attention, because there's no real context for the slideshow (I'm still not sure what I'm supposed to infer). I don't remember Jack (I know I got Jacob and Kasumi).

I shot him for old times sake and was horrified when it triggered the reject ending.  I was in roleplay mode at that point so I shouldn't have shot him in the first place but I just couldn't resist.  I had to re-watch the whole illusive man/catalyst exchange which sucked.  They must have known people would accidentally do that and while I find that hilarious I only wanted to see what was going to happen to Kaidan and the crew at that point so it was not good timing lol.

Im so doing a fast run through with the one shep that romanced Liara... just for that scene... sorry Liara. That Shep will go either control or synth.

I may be alone but... I dont think control will suit any of my Kaidan romance Sheps. The first time my godly Shep looks down and sees liara near kaidan she would so start the next reaper war

Honestly, LI aside. The EC is awesome. I love what they have done. The synth ending is Scifi worthy this time around. I love control, just doesnt suit my Sheps.

I tried to be brave during my first playthrough and said, "I reject these idears! D8<" Starbrat said, "So be it" in a super scary voice and said the cycle was going to continue. However, at this point, I will never coose any other option other than Destroy. My biggest reason comes at 2:39 of this video: www.youtube.com/watch. The look on the husk's face completely freaked me out. 

Does Synthesis mean the Reaper-ized versions of the races are "tame" or sentient again at this point? Why wasn't the husk attacking anymore? And what in the world was up with its face? Did it realize that a whole bunch of whacky nonsense was going on? Heck, the thought of a Banshee looking around all confused and whatnot creeps me the heck out. Shepard's confirmed death and depressed-Kaidan are just other reasons why I cannot choose Synthesis.  Were it not for the scene with the husk, I would've gone with Synthesis here or there. After that nasty husk scene? Nah uh. :/

Yeah I did this the first time and almost **** my pants when the catalyst boomed out, "SO BE IT!!!" in a reaper's voice. I read on BSN it also happens if you shoot the catalyst.

I was horrified that the TIM conversation was identical. Could this pointless sequence be any longer?

It's bad enough that there was still no climax (although having the destroyer shoot stuff during the fight was nice), but you still have to sit there listening to this maniac prattle on for a full ten minutes.

But I was always hoping for a more expansive extended cut, where they took apart the final mission and actually made it good. Oh, well. At least we get to see Kaidan make it out safely.

Yes. It means that they are "alive" again, and share in the communal intelligence of all other organic and synthetic beings.

We have telepathy now, and they can hear our sad thoughts when they attack us, so they stop. Science! :-)
