Is that in-game? (Not the Kleenex).
Hehe no. That's just me talking to my monitor as Kaidan looks tortured on screen.

Wait. What does Shepard say? I need to see a video of this...(every video I see is the I love you scene)
Well, there's the "You'll just slow me down" option.
S : You're in no condition to keep fighting. Get to the med bay.
K : I'm with you til the end.
S : That's an order, Major.
K : Puss-In-Boots look.
Suits me better. Plus having Shepard call Kaidan "Major" is always enjoyable.
ack! was about to do a run of that >_>

Don't overindulge in this, I'm pretty sure one can gain weight just by watching it too much

I had the breath scene when I did my first playthrough when the game came out, but didn't have it in the EC, even though I used the same character. So I didn't get that special Kaidan scene still knowing that Shep was still alive.

So just finished the Destroy ending with High EMS. I loved it. LOVED it. I really liked the epilogue scenes that followed too. Definitely replaying to see the other endings.Baby Krogans! ;A; My heart can't take the cuteness!
The new Kaidan scenes made me cry like you wouldn't believe. Heart wrenching and pawing at the screen going "It will be okay, love! I will be with you! If not this lifetime then the next!" /kleenex
And I know it's been said, but just saying again, do not shoot starchild unless you are REALLY curious.
Really enjoyed the dlc. Can't say that enough.
EDIT: forgive spelling iPhone won't let scroll down
I loved it too, I was happy with the EC, I went in without much hope but Bioeare surprised me. DA3 will still be the make or break for me though.
What I like about the new endings (may just be me) but each one has good points and bad points so now I find it hard to decide. It's more grey now than it was. Synthesis is my second choice, but I just want my canon shep to be with Kaidan again do she went with destroy. My other Sherpa won't!

What did you think of that sideways look, I personally quite liked it, I interpret it as some aspect of him being stubborn.
Control

Synthesis

High EMS Destroy

So I've watched Destroy / High EMS endings with other LI (Liara and Ashely), and both of them look down with semi-closed eyes in front of the memorial. Alenko takes a strange sideways look to his left at the exact same moment (while in Synthesis / Control he looks straight ahead, like the other LI), so I was wondering if it was specific, or maybe a bug??

I don't think it's a bug, I think it's showing Kaidan not being ready to let go and then it works because he looks up and smiles, knowing Shepard is still alive. Also I was more ok with green eyed Kaidan this time around, but definitely still a fan of their natural hue. Getting the close up of them during the goodbye scene made it that much more heartbreaking.

Yes, of course, that's the way I see it too, i didn't genuinely think it's a bug. What I found nice is that other LI characters don't seem to have that nuance, so if that's the case, I'm quite happy that Kaidan got to have a special treatment in that scene.

I think i'm pretty much done with the ME universe now and would like to say thanks and goodbye to the lovely ladies and gents who have made this a great place to be for the last little while... if you're ever travelling the roads in Guild Wars 2 or on xbox, be sure to say hello.
Take care and peace out!
PS - Kaidan and Femshep will be flying off into the sunset (headcannon says it is so)

That's how I saw it too. I feel that they showed enough to satisfy while leaving room for people to come up with their own stories.
I thought they did eveyone's reactions really well. Both the scene at the beam and the memorial wall scene worked really well for the characters.
On a side note, I also loved how Keiji was back in the synth ending. That blew my mind.

I had....Thane..0_o Which surprised me a lot (never romanced, never talked much, but I thought it's because I pick destroy so that Joker's kinda hates me and everyone has it this way).EDI is "flashed back" to instead of Joker as you shoot the tube, which is WAYY more fitting
Where did you take it from? Tweeter? Wherever they ended up. They don't have anything but FTL. FTLing from Sur'kesh (or Aeia - which looks close and has same double moon, or Zorya) would take no less then about 20 years. It's a small ship. It has no fuel reserves. It has not much supplies. Should I continue?...You know /where/ they ended up (Sur'kesh)
I first wanted to make many quotes and reply to some posts I've missed due to my Extended Spoiler-free Waiting Time for Origin (as I wrote before - it was not fixed at the point when I had to use VPN-software that faked my IP into another region, and a lot of europeans suffered same problem long after "official" PC origin release). But I just decided to put my mind shorter (as possible). !SPOILERS FOLLOW!
Good thing about EC - armaggedon is not here, not even in destroy, implant-users did not suffer to death and stoneage without a single mech did not come. Which is nice to know. But that's, possibly, the only good thing about it for me.
"But....Moar Kaidan?!", you may say (gz to brosheps who finaly had their share of love, by the way).. "NOT like that", I will answer. That's the worst of the worst plottwisting and retconing I've ever seen. I think there are already some normandy-related topics, and I'll drop some lines there as well, but here we talk abnout Kaidan, right?
So...they hurt him. Again. Same plot move as on Mars in the beginnig of the game. Hurt Kaidan badly and take him away from squad. Happening in last few minutes of your gameplay. And they hurt him by throwing second mako (first one was for Shep, but she was more lucky).
All remember we need to get to thу beam asap? Good that someone does. All remember that Harbi is firing all the way?(just in case someone missed it). Shep knows (s)he needs to run on, does (s)he leave Kaidan with barely hurt [squad member] to wait for help? Tells them both to retreat to HQs or stay down safe? Calls for nearby medic? Uses medigel herself?? Nooo, Shep NEEDSEVACNAOO.
And not just some "EVACNAOO", but Normandy. Which should
1. leave "sword" fleet fighting some reapers up there
2. take shep's coordinates (discarding the fact that beam messes with navigation - remember you had to drag destroyer closer off beam to you so that EDI-navigated missles would hit him?)
3. maneuver into atmosphere and descend to ground point (there are people down there, running, shooting, I know it's Joker we're talking about, he could throw mako in 20m, but landing a cruiser on a battlefield full of people?..uhm...ok, let's suppose he can do it as well) .You were flying airplanes, I think (most of you, at least once). How much time does it take to descend from around 5000-6000m? Physics are still there, they don't dive in, they need to drop speed, they need to follow descending curve...I mean it's not a matter of 1-2-3 minutes, not even for a Joker.
But...Normandy comes. And we hear what Sbarge was working at. I'd say - not bad scene, good one, actually, but, excuse me, how many times may people say goodby to each other? Night before. London. This scene just kills London farewell. It makes it useless. They DID say all they needed to (sorry for broshep, though). They did understand each other. They did NOT need to say more of it once again aloud, in the middle of battlefield when everything is at stake.
I did not shed a single tear, honestly. Since mako hit, I was just staring at the screen, how BW took controll over MY shepard and by my own order sent them all away. By the way, why did they BOTH leave? [Squad member] is not even injured (Garrus for me, really, Vakarian??). There were two avengered soldiers(whom were they shooting at? Harbi? There were just our soldiers running...)-I'm sure they could take Kaidan into medbay if he needed support. And additional question - how did rest of crew get aboard? Did Joker made a short fly-by over HQ to get them back?.. Hell lotta time, I'd say. And Harbi was just staring and waiting for them to say "ILY"...good old Harbi, he knows when to shoot Shepards.
After this all happened I was so depressed, that I barely noticed any differences (if there were any) up to starkid. His lines were less messy and made more sense - true. And they even made sure that you see which side does what (either was not in pre-ec or I missed it then, I remember that I could not understand where to go and what to do to make destroy). Finaly I could shoot the tube...walking into explosion (as usual). Then I saw Anderson, Thane(?!?) and..Kaidan ofc...Then had a slideshow (Zaeed, krogans, Samara) and "happy everafter" monologue. They did not focus on EDI\\Geth at all, not even Joker\\Tali cared, and EDI was NOT on a wall (though Legion was), just showed them in two pics. I'm yet to understand what Normandy was running from and how and where they teleported (and why just she, not other fleets?). My thoughts about their chances for reunion with what left of Shep are mentioned above. Memorial scene...is not that bad as I thought it was, as first time I did not fix that he did NOT put plaque on the wall. So...at least he was hoping...probably. And another two cents here - I was really expecting to see a NAME on a plaque, not non-existing(!) title, MGS2 did that after all, you could read player's name on tags.
And final one (sorry it appears not as short, too much emotions I think...). Breath scene follows events which happened during huge amount of time. And it...how to put it...confuses. Normandy repaired and took off (happy FTLing, people! I know relays did not blew up, but don't think it's so fast to make them work). It also follows Samara reaching home (well, for asari 30-40yrs flight is nothing anyway, and by that time they could fix relays), and Bekara(Eve) holding her newborn baby(several months, I suppose, Wrex just said she is pregnant)...with Wrex by her side (how could he manage it back so fast - I got no idea). Zaeed could have his sunny rest somewhere on Earth, so that's not a problem. I may guess, that Shep did not spend many months or years half-burnt on a citadel, while life went on, and they thought (s)he's dead. But with such a huge timeline stuck between shooting tube and breath - it does not feel right for me. It gave no hope, it felt like useless.

Hate to see you go, madlily - you've always been a positive force on this thread.
I was thinking about this earlier - it's amazing to see this community's unity in waiting for the EC to come out so's we could finally get closure with our Kaidans. Now that it's here and done, what's next? Speculate on DLC's and if there will be 'moar Kaidian'? Do we replay all the ME's, hoping we can recaputre that feeling when we knew Kaidan was 'the one' for our Sheps? Or will we start saying our goodbyes and head off to other games?
Me, I think I'm going stick around for a bit and pop in from time to time to see what may be coming up next. Already there has been speculation about unused dialog in the EC files as well as Raphael Sbarge's voice recording sessions (DLC work maybe?) Maybe it's me but I sort of feel like the Stargazer's grandkid, looking for "one more story" about "The Kaidan". I'm hopeful there will be one.

How did I miss keji in the synthesis ending??!
@madlily don't go
Ive basically got the ending in my head now, save from hot the Normandy could possible get back but as we have no idea what planet they landed on its for speculation. With the new version it could easily be a colonised world.
