Just wondering if there are Kaidanites on the zone of the earthquake, just hope everyone is alright....
I hate earthquakes, (where I live, we have those every damned month, sometimes 4 or 5 times in a day, and 16 per week after the big 8,8 earthquake on 2010) you can't never feel used to see how the earth starts to shake like a crazy monkey under your feets. >.<

Kaidan bringing Shepard in for the trial seems like a plausible situation. He felt betrayed by Shepard's involvement with Cerberus. For all we know, Kaidan could have been ordered by to bring Shep in by any means necessary, but who knows for sure?  As a Spectre he doesn't answer to the Council, but being officially declared dead, does that mean Shepard's no longer an Alliance soldier? Who is putting him on trial?

I like the way you think.
I wish I could clear the pic up too, but I can't even post pics on here without help, lol.

Regarding the bolded: yes it is plausible, but correct me if I'm wrong: after Arrival, don't you have the option of telling Admiral Hackett that you'll come to trial willingly? I can't imagine in this case that Kaidan would need to be sent to bring Shepard in by force.

I'm more inclined to believe it's a Cerberus agent of some kind (Mostly becuase of the helmet). Even if the armour looks N7, Cerberus has sort of proven that they can get their hands on whatever they think they need. They managed to get some N7 armour for Lazarus-Shep. Hell they managed to get their hands on Shepard's dead body.

But given that we have absolutely no context for that particular shot, for all we know it's not the Normandy at all, but Shepard breaking into someone's fancy penthouse. To steal their Serrice Ice Brandy. For the good Doctor.

I'll bet my eyes that the guy in there is Kai Leng.

I love it...lol

Edit: Oh, yeah, myShep offered to turn herself in...but..sometimes ppl get impatient. idk.

I don't even know if this pic is going to be in the actual game. It's a provocative image, yet the hwole thing is dodgy. The pic is here, then it's gone..ish. There are a ton of concept art/screen shots for ME, yet this one came and then seemed to be snatched.

But I found it very provocative--as soon as I saw it, I was like wth is going on here? The possibilities are endless and juicy

@Geirahod: yeah, I keep hearing that it's Kai Leng. but alas, nobody really knows.

I was hoping I could decipher the armor; pick it apart and ferret out some more substantial clues, but w/ that image..pffft. friggin' impossible

Hey E.G....yeah, I've been wondering abt that myself. I mean, as far as the Alliance...they thought Shepard was dead, but then found out Shepard wasn't dead. They assume, naturally, that Shep has been alive all this time and working for/with Cerberus. I think they would view Shperad as...an AWOL soldier.

Funny thing, tho is that when Hackett talks abt. when earth calls...he doesn't actually mention the Alliance being the ones to put Shep on trial. And wouldn't that be at Arcturus station if it was purely military? Shep is going to eartn, so I'm thinking human government--politicians--judges and Alliance.

The Council, hmmm, some didn't reinstate their Spectre status so idk how the Council would handle that, but this is a galactic concern--Spectre, or no. And humans are a council race now.

My shepard did get reinstated, for what it was worth.

At the same time, I don't wanna over imagine it either. Sometimes especially in video games, it just is what it is because they said so. And nothing like that is addressed.

Wow, I have missed a LOT in this thread.

I would say that it if it had to be Kaidan who brought Shep in it wouldn't be completely implausible. After all, nothing really stops him from doing his job. I don't think he would do it for some sort of revenge as it's just not in his nature.

^ Love the pic, rapscallioness.

For what it's worth, I don't think Kaidan would come crashing into the Normandy to drag Shepard back to Earth, I figure he would at least call Shepard up and ask him/her to come back to Earth for the trail.

*Kaidan busts through the ceiling*
Kaidan: SHEPARD! I have come for you! I'm taking you back to Earth, whether you like it or nooooooooooot!
Shepard: Um... Kaidan? You could have called first, y'know, instead of mucking up my skylight window!
Kaidan: Ohhh... *looks up* My bad.

Hey whoKnew...you know anything is possible. I'm just having fun speculating. It takes the edge off of the seemingly endless! wait. And , yeah, he is very duty minded.

BTW: just so everyone knows none of these pics I post are mine in any way shape or form. I have no talent in the visual arts mastery. So, if you see pics from me, it's something I googled...and they always seem to link back to this thread...lol.

Shepard: Okay Kaidan, I'll come back with you willingl... wait. What are you gonna do if I don't?!
Kaidan: Don't test me Shepard, I'll do what I have to!
Shepard: Are you going to use cuffs and chains? Because that would be an extreme turn on bad, very bad. Please do don't use them!

Bwhahaha.

And I also love Atton way more than Carth, no need to be ashamed.
I wish I could like Disciple more (since his VA is Greg Ellis) but he's so... flat. He seems more like an infodump guy. (Probably because he was added in at the last minute *I think*)

Ha! hahahha...or nooooooot!

I must confess, tho. After the initial wtf? moment, my Shepard might be....uh...erm..a lil turned on. We might have to find somewhere else to bunk real quick b4 the trial.;)

A heaping, hunk of Kaidan swooshing thru the skylight and landing all ninja sexy? How daring he's become..mmm.  My Shepard would rub her hands together wickedly and do the villain laugh.."Mwahhahaha.." Then snatch him up...yum!

Haha, Shepard would be just standing there, hands on hips, watching Kaidan sweep up. It would be extra-hilarious if he had brought his crew with him, haha. Shepard would be all, "Yeah, I'll stand trial, but get the freaking glass off my bed. Get to it, mister!" It's really a fantastic avatar. I had an Atton wallpaper on my phone for years. My dad borrowed my phone and didn't even blink an eye.
Ah, don't worry Chylise, I actually prefer Atton, too. I don't know why, maybe I just associate Raphael Sbarge's voice with Kaidan too much to prefer Carth.

Hah. I figured that Kaidan and Shepard would have their dramatic meeting at the trial. Maybe he'll be a witness with testimony that is unhelpful to her cause, but can have him protesting when he sees how the prosecutor is painting Shepard's actions. Invasion happens during trial and they join up. OR since she's going to get a new Normandy probably, she'll be called in to meet the brass higher ups and be assigned whatever mission to defeat the reapers and in Joker-style, "here's an old squadmate you may be happy to see again to help you." Enter Kaidan in impressive Spectre armor! (Crowd oohs and awws.) Once on ship, begin awkward reunion. =p

(Thinking the relationship is going to have to go through the standard beginning/climax/confirmed adoration before they can culiminate with the sex before the final mission thing. So guessing things might be tense at the start. Just a theory!)

Oh, and BTW, Aria's line always make me giggle: "You should find a nice young man to keep you warm". What she's supposed to say in ME3, "Interesting. I said "nice young man" and you find yourself a SpeCTRe"?

Why do I suspect it'll be, "I meant Jacob."

I'm still hoping that it will be separate lines for each LI - like that ads on Citadel which suggests "next time you're out on the town with..." (I had "Ms Zorah" and "Ms Lawson"). Optimism FTW!

About "Kaidan may be forced to get Shepard on trial" - yes, some good person as Udina might pull that card - "look, this was evil Shepard who blew the colony, not Alliance! We even had to send an agent to track that bastard/b***h down!", but a)  send on this mission one of few people who seen the proof of Reapers existence to this task is extremely stupid - especially considering it's possible close friend/LI. "You had a rogue SpeCTRe? Now you have two" and B) Kaidan is too much a gentleman to start from jumping into window. My bet on questioning letter first.

I thought it was already 'confirmed' that this is a Cerberus person (may or may not be Kei Lang)
the thing is, it's just a concept piece, it may not be in the game, so *shrug*

I'm wondering if they even promoted the VS to Spectre just for the significance of having another human Spectre bring in Shepard willingly or no. Like Shepard was only appointed Spectre to bring in Saren and the Coucil might treat Shepard as a traitor as well, or at least as someone who has fallen from grace.
Why they'd have the trial on Earth? No clue ...(aside from the ZOMG Eart is being attacked and while the Citadel is important it had been under attack before ... and while we may care for the Citadel, the Earth is the homeplanet of humans ... even Spacers can't ignore that, right?)

I would think the Council wouldn't make another human, and a close friend of Shepard's a new Spectre just to have Shepard brought in... that's a bite in the a** waiting to happen. But I guess it depends on which Council, the human led one or the alien led one.

On another note, I somehow just lost Miranda's loyalty after siding with Jack. My Paragon bar is half full, and my Renegade bar has one section filled as well, but both dialogue options were greyed out, forcing me to choose sides without being able to make them like me. I don't know how I screwed up, but I'm a sad panda. :crying: That never happened with my full Paragon Shep. Maybe this Shep I'm playing now is too much on the fence? I want everyone to like me! /weeping

Off to do Jacob's loyalty quest...B)

This happens after doing Jack's loyalty quest. Unless you have full paragon or renegade, you will have to choose one of them, losing the loyalty of the other. Don't forget that maxing out your main class skill will give super bonuses to paragon and renegade scores. Having that maxed out usually helps Shep maintain loyalty of both. Though, I tend to save Jack's loyalty quest until later anyway.

Totally off-topic for the Kaidan thread, but it's not that often that I find a situation I know the answer to!  Or at least what worked for me.  I've navigated this treacherous situation before without being either full paragon or full renegade.  What I do is take Jack on Miranda's loyalty mission and Miranda on Jack's.  While I'm there, I pick all paragon responses for both missions.

My very first playthrough, I sided with Jack and ended up losing Miranda.  But since I started this method, I've never failed to make them both see reason, full paragon or not.

And now that I've de-lurked, I have a question.  From what I've seen so far, Kaidan looks a little rougher than he did in ME1 or ME2.  And apparently they're bulking him up a bit?  I don't have a problem with it.  The concept art I saw (I think it's concept art anyway) in armor makes him a look a little older and more weathered than before.  I'm probably older than the average gamer myself, so to me it's pretty sexy.  What do you all think of a more mature Kaidan with (apparently) a sharper edge to him?

Thank you both. I figured it all out immediately after Jacob's mission, when my Para was finally high enough to persuade Miranda to love me again. :D

On the underlined part above, I'm certainly a much older gamer myself, and I think Mature!Kaidan is super smexy. I'm all for the weathered and aged look. *smacks lips* I kinda liked that with Anders in DA2, and Cullen's crows feet were also a plus. It's really not fair that men get better with age, and women just...don't. Ah well, them's the breaks! Although Meredith looked awesome for an older chic. I really do like a little age on my pixel men though. I feel a bit like a lecher if the male LI looks too young.

When I was in my teens, I usually liked the teenage/early 20 type of guys in video games, now as I get older, when I see some teeniebopper "hot guy" in games, I'm like "Uhhhh, lolwut" and go straight for the 30-40 somethings. I'm almost positive my teenage self wouldn't have liked Carth or Kaidan, and would have wanted some long haired anime type. Glad I grew out of that. :D
