Actually I cant for the life of me remember if you see the Normnady go through a relay or if Joker is just going faster than light.
We see it FTLing, yes. But they messed it even more then before, imo. Before EC you could just say "never happened" and go after your chosen head canon. You stilll may do, if you wish, or build the new one, but nevertheless.
The main thing is: no matter if they were FTLing or not, there is no such a planet in a local cluster/system. Aeia looks close (and has poison food), Zorya - same, probaly - overlord project planet (can't remember name). If we suppose they did not pass through relay to get to the mysterious "randevous point" - it means that they somehow managed to crashland on a planet perfectly suitable for living, nearby, with water and life, which no one ever known before. If they did jump before wave hit...*sad eyes*, no relays, remember? Not 100% destroyed, but highly damaged, considering post-war condition and fact that many resources were thrown to build crucible - I doubt it will be a matter of months, more like years. And without relays x-sector travel is far from instant. Same way - years, if not decades (on FTL, assuming enough fuel and food supply).
By the way, I'd love to know...how're your existing(\\existed?) headcanons doing, fellow Kaidanites? Did you have to fix it, did you discard something? Were there perfect matches? I feel like I'm stuck with mine. I did not like the way they forced him leaving both me and planet. And I could not care less for BW comments about " reunion someday somehow". I did not need them to show me their reunion. I needed them not to break mine. Which they, unfortunately, did. And i'm not guilty of that. We held this universe with our hearts and souls (and, probably, some duct tape) before they released EC. We were holding that line, preventing armageddons and other evil things...
