I actually started with ME3 on my first playthrough. (During the confrontation with Udina, I accidentally shot poor Kaidan! I had to do that part over again). I played the EC DLC last night with that Sheperd.

Now I'm just starting ME3 again with an imported (S/S mod) character from ME1 and ME2! I can't believe how much BETTER it is! I just finished ME2 last week.

Great! Glad to hear that you're playing with saves from ME and ME2 - you miss so much if you just play ME3 right out of the box.

Here's a link to a galaxy map that shows all the war assets - makes it a lot easier to find stuff. The only downside is that it doesn't list the fuel depots but i'm sure there's info on the web for those:

 Oooh I almost envy you Tekkrokk, when I remember how I felt during my very first playthrough of ME1, then ME2... the game experience is so much better when beginning with ME1. 

So I was going to tell you welcome, blah blah. But not gonna happen.

Can't help it. I am very touchy on this matter

Welcome to the forums and to Mass Effect.  As a new ME fan, what did you think of the ending pre EC (assuming you played it before the EC)  and what did you think of the EC?

Understandably so.  When I shot him on my  Fshep playthroughs it killed the game for me,  I still played it but it just wasn't the same.  I ran to the empty starboard observation room after every mission hoping he'd be there somehow.  That Shepard became my tragic Shep and will be choosing control/synthesis because she has nothing to live for.  Granted I never intended for her to romance Kaidan since I was trying for Garrus but then I found out you couldn't start the Garrus romance in ME3, so yeah she got screwed.

I know... I wasnt even a Renegade, but that prompt tricked me. Went through the Citadel mission again for a MUCH better result

Welcome to the forums and to Mass Effect.  As a new ME fan, what did you think of the ending pre EC (assuming you played it before the EC)  and what did you think of the EC? 

Thanks! I played both and opted for the "destroy" each time. The first ending...terrible. The second is acceptable, though like most others, I feel that a reunion with your LI (Kaidan) should've taken place.

I really think that BW ended ME3 both times with a cliffhanger of sorts to make way for some post-ending DLC.

Wow, someone posted a vid of the Femshep renegade control ending.  I think that will be my choice for my one total renegade playthrough.  Kaidan was the LI so it's relevant.   Also, Jenn Hale is still a total badass.

Might be biased but it's totally  worth it

I still have my one playthrough just hanging out where I went totally renegade, romanced Liara and then Thane (and later got back with Thane so Liara hates me) and killed Kaidan.  I get the feeling that she's going to be forever alone.

I am trying to force myself to romance Garrus, but in order for that to happen, I need to send Kaidan to Hackett (which is going to break my heart). He is just my favorite LI...  (I like Thane too, but he dies, so I always go back to Kaidan)

Well it's not like female shep has a ton of options.  And I kind of backed myself into a corner.  Can't romance Garrus because you need to have boinked him in ME2.  Can't romance Liara because she hates me for cheating on her with Thane...again.  Kaidan is dead.  That leaves Traynor or the bimbo reporter.  Maybe I'll go with Traynor but I really don't feel that emotionally attached to her. I guess I could do Kelly again too.

Never killing Kaidan again.  This is my one playthrough that I did it and it totally screwed me.
