The conduit scene felt genuine, it felt like it was well done. It's exactly what I was lacking, or at least I that's what I tell myself. . Finally they come out and say it for us. Thankyou Bioware, thank you Mr. Sabarge.

But I didn't find myself teary-eyed. Slightly choked up, but nothing like the first time on the London goodbye. 
I think I got more emotional on the Normandy memorial when I realized that bioware had screwed up the 'Shepard is alive' theory with more stupid inuwindow that he's alive rather than coming right out and saying it. Was it too much to ask for L/I reunion? UGH..

Maybe having to go through all of this again for a 30second payoff has ruined it for me, or maybe I'm too fustrated right now that I didn't get exactly what I wanted.

I just couldn't enjoy this as much as I wanted. Anyone else feel the same way?

Understandably so.  When I shot him on my  Fshep playthroughs it killed the game for me,  I still played it but it just wasn't the same.  I ran to the empty starboard observation room after every mission hoping he'd be there somehow.  That Shepard became my tragic Shep and will be choosing control/synthesis because she has nothing to live for.  Granted I never intended for her to romance Kaidan since I was trying for Garrus but then I found out you couldn't start the Garrus romance in ME3, so yeah she got screwed.

I've sacrificed Kaidan on Virmire before. In the one where you see him with the bomb at the end...

I was always like "This is bull! I should be able to save them both! This game is dumb!"

Then I feel bad, because it's always sad when I leave Ashley behind, but I'm usually just "Farewell, my friend." and then immediately "Onward!" :-)

I could never shoot Kaidan in the coup. Not ever. I had to watch a video of it online because I'm such a coward (and I wouldn't even switch to hi-res or expand the player size).

Does anyone know what happens during the beam goodbye if you say to Kaidan "You'll just slow me down" ... I could never bring myself to say that to him or watch it on YouTube, so I'd rather someone just tell me LOL.

This made me lol.  Would switching it to hi-res make it too real? I know what you mean though . I can never do that stuff in-game.  I surprised myself when I was actually able to go through with Virmiring him.

I feel the same way. I mean, I'm glad that they at least heavily implied it, since it's pretty obvious that they do reunite. BUT, I don't know why they just didn't add it to the memorial scene instead, or tack on a epilogue... I mean, why bother to heavily imply it at all when you can just definitively confirm it. Hell, it's the only ending where Shepard actually "lives" yet we have no confirmation of if he/she is actually rescued/walks out of the rubble.

truth be told, i thought the renegade option will make kaidan say "I love you" and shepard is the one that says "i love you too"

I tried a Virmire of Kaidan once with Kate when she was still a troubled shep, but the piano music kicked in after and wouldn't go away, I felt horrible. So I reloaded, saved him, and carried on. He's alive in all four Shep stories, romanced in two. Male shep dumped Liara for Tali, and Andrea went for Garrus.

I watched the other endings today, and I have to say that while Synthesis is an interesting scifi plot, I could never bear those horrible green eyes - it's beyond immoral to force that on everyone, mass brainwashing! And it's too much about EDI. The evil renegade FemShep control is hilarious, for a real failshep, that's an awesome way to go... but none of mine are that badass.

Destroy resonates so much more with me, and Hackett is the perfect vessel to deliver the final lines. Cheering Krogan and Krogan babies are splendid. I just wish there was 20-30 seconds more where you see a glimpse of a reunion, or someone finding Shep in the rubble. It's a big improvement over the original endings, but these really should have been the endings all along.

Excited about Leviathan! Can't wait to play... I'm so down that the series is at an end, I want more! But I guess we have some hope for a little more here and there. But I guess I'll be tired of replaying soon enough and I'll finally get to playing DA and DA2!

See, I feel like that's a streach to say. I feel like having to guess what happened in reference to what amounts to a 5 second scene and a 10% different scene is the orginal ending all over again.

I want to believe that, but at the same time I can't. They've ruined indoc, but they've also ruined a lot of fan fics for me. This whole thing has been a very weak compromise.

I undertand that trying to please everyone will result in pleasing no one, but they had clear intenions here, and instead of clearing it up, they just teased us some more.

What I got from that scene was more tragic than that. I got the feeling that he couldn't ever really let Shepard go. I don't know what to make of the chest scene. In the orginal ending it was much more clear. With the extended cut they go into detail about post- crucible. There's no mention of shepard past that scene...Can you tell I hate open-ended endings?

I was the same until one of the Dev's and the ME3 twitter confirmed that it was done to imply a reunion. Still pissed off about it, but it's more tolerable than the previous endings that gave us nothing and doom everyone.

Frankly, I just don't want to see it. So the low resolution version and the default small player was more than enough for me. I don't need any more visual detail of some monster murdering Kaidan.

But I still wanted to hear what he says. (I still haven't seen the version where he hates you; Ashley's is a riot, though.) One of those things I could never do but still wanted to know basically what would happen. I just don't need to see it on the big screen. ;-)

I know how you feel. Interested out of curiosity, but you don't wan to get all worked up over it. I've done that a few times.
