It was totally unexpected. The scene is ridiculous on its face, but it's like all three games came together in that one moment, at least as far as the relationship with Kaidan.

I'm sure it's different for female Shepards who romanced Kaidan all along, but for male Shepard who went from the friendship (and total crush, don't deny it) of ME to the emotional wreck of the confrontation in ME2 to the reestablishment of their connection and the blossom of romance in ME3, it was the perfect moment.

I can still gush about it (and I haven't watched it since), and I almost never gush about anything these days.

Agreed. It's almost as if the fact that mShep and Kaidan didn't say ILY in the sex scene works in its favor, as now the implication is so much bigger. It's a very tragic story, but I love it nonetheless.

It seems a bit weird that BW wouldn't do any kind of VS DLC when we're one of the more active fanbases on the boards (along with Talimancers). I really hope they come through.

Okay, I'm possing a question for anyone to answer. Ive done 1 EC from my first play through,the end was destroy, in that play through my F/Shep did not survive. I have another play through called my she lives after destroying the Reapers. Has anyone played through the EC with the Shep that breaths? Have they cut that out?

I actually think it's even better now, since it can be sent just to show appreciation for Kaidan and not because there's an expectation that they'll be shown reuniting (I'm assuming one of the original motivations was to advocate a reunion for the extended cut).

yes... this ILY feels much more meaningfull than the other LI ILY's

Well I cetainly hope it works in our favor.  Especially since most general fans are still having a ****fest over the endings and vowing never to buy another DLC.  The people who were mostly (or totally) satisfied by the EC were the major LI fans--and they are thus the people who are most likely to buy future DLC.  Doesn't do much to cater a game to the modern warfare (no offense to any fans) type shooter crowd if they're not going to stay vested and buy more game related material.

Oh that is perfect! yeah, Nhaneh's tumblr is an amazing collection of remodelled and animated Shenko awesomeness, splendid talent.

I did love the additional scenes in The Conduit Run. I still find it a little odd the Normandy was so close for an evac and my Shepard would probably have kept running (that and Harbringer could have just pew-pew'ed the Normandy in a moment). Still, the "I love you" line was great.

Oh my goodness... LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!  I have a terrible imagination so I hate that I have to imagine their reunion myself.  Things like this make me feel better lol.

Finished the EC on Tuesday... and like many others i was super heartbroken at that last scene. I am glad that he had faith in Shepard's survival.
Doing another playthrough of ME3... i can't wait to get Kaidan back on my team

Same here, I teared up a bit when saying goodbye, Kaidans face just gets to you. Hoping that we get some kind of reunification.

Kaidan and Gar got the best LI scenes/dialogue out of the entire game, in my opinion. It's close to who I think gets the Best of Show Award

I was really surprised at the anti clamaticness feeling Liara and Tali's goodbye scenes gave me. I expected a lot more than what I saw them get :|
