How does the lock-in work for romances? I started my 3rd playthrough with my 'worst' character (lost half of my crew) I romanced Liara pre ME2 and Romanced Jack in ME2. I ended it with Liara but I carried it on with Jack. Does that romance get locked in like squad members? Will Kaidan still hit on my mShep... because if he does I don't think I could say no :P

This playthrough is making me so guilty, I keep walking past the memorial wall with Tali's name at the bottom of it. I won't have Zaleed, Tali, Mordin, Miranda, Thane in this playthrough, and Kasumi, I didn't even recurit her and the Hanar homeworld just paid the price for it. Really Interested to see how it plays out with the genophage, no Mordin and I didn't do his loyalty mission.

Anyway before I ramble on more, I take it no Thane means the Councillor will die? Does this mean Kaidan won't believe me?

If Kirrahe (can't spell that) lived in ME he jumps in to save the councillor I believe. So its like an extra shot at it if you don't have Thane

Are we worrying about spoilers at this stage :/

No thane = Kirrahe takes the shot, No thane and no kirrahe = councillor will die

Also romances Lock in after the coup

Kaidan fans have always received soup in a bag when it comes to merchandising. I'm just hoping that the character hoodies come out and Kaidan's will be the first one to sell out it's entire pre-order stock. I prefer that armor out of all of them <3
The others make him look too bulky - Im not really a fan of how pumped they made him in ME3 tbh.

On a side note - do any of you still play SWTOR?

@Ianthia - I used to but I let my sub run out - partly for financial reasons (I'm inbetween jobs) and partly because the grind got to be quite tiresome.

I have a lifetime sub to Star Trek Online so I may go back to that - I was thinking of naming my ships after Mass Effect locations and people..and yes the flagship of my fleet will be called the Kaidan Alenko.  Image IPB

Yeah, no Tali :crying: Can't even remember how she died. It was basically a speed ME2 playthrough, only did what was needed to progress I was surprised so many survived. I didn't get any of the upgrades as well.

Yeah, no Tali :crying: Can't even remember how she died. It was basically a speed ME2 playthrough, only did what was needed to progress I was surprised so many survived. I didn't get any of the upgrades as well.

Always a shame that they never updated ME1 for console users so that you could have a s/s LI.

I saw a video on a file from 1-3 with it, the extra dialogue is nice, but I think I like it better that after everything that's happened between them, that at the end of the world they find each other.

I think as long as you visit him in the hospital, give him the whiskey and go for positive responses when you talk to him you should be ok with Kaidan...but you may want to keep a finger on the 'delete' key just in case ;)

I am playing on The Ebon Hawk.  

Thankfully I've become so resigned to ME3 endings at this point that the EC hasn't made me so despondant that I can't bring myself to log on.  After the original ME3 ended, I was so mad at Bioware that I couldn't log in to SWTOR for over a week.

But that's fan-project, isn't it? I doubt BW ever release that. And other part of the galaxy must be having copyright problems if they try to make and sell. Though, I don't know how exactly this works.

I picked it up today so I wondered if I was now the only one.
I play STO too heh. Started that a few weeks ago... yeah, seriously, no life. I can spend all day playing games >.> Ive seen so many ME named ships in STO lol

I'm worried about my renegade shep Kaidan playthrough .... kill the council, keep the base etc. She doesn't mind Cerberus :/ Im dreading the coup lol

Yes, it is random, cause when you reload just before the Cerberus base without changing anything, the lines are just different. I don't think there isn't any changes, believe me, I've frapped that scene A LOT. Always a blanket there...


ps: oh, and I never thought that non-ILY lines sounded so...RIGHT <-)... always picked upper ones before.


At first from ME1 i didn't "dare" chosing other then the "obvious" answers, but then I discovered that sometimes the labels for the actual dialog are not accurate, or sometimes, even you don't actually chose them in your canon playthrough, you get interesting lines from Kaidan, it's like rediscovering him all over again. Yeah, it was better before with the neutral options, but even in ME3, I really like the "some people find me boring cause i'm not the life of the party" thing that you get if you just remain friends with him - it still broke my heart to break his but it was nice to have that part anyway.

Ive played the ME games more than I care to admit :P and I swear I still get lines I havent heard before. Managed to get ones a friend had never heard before the other day.... is what makes the games so great.

I also just noticed for the first time that there are little flags in the Presidium that have pictures of the citadel with its arms open lol. 100 plays of the game and I am still finding stuff.... lol @ me >.>

According to the artist who created the artwork for the hoodies, there was a meeting and BioWare said they would take up the project:

"BIOWARE TO TAKE ON THE HOODIE PROJECT!:
yup, thats right. I had a talk on the phone yesterday with a couple of people who
are part of the team that make official mass effect apparel. they were
really nice people, and I was a nervous wreck. XD it was agreed their
designers will be taking on the hoodie project!"

This was about 3 months ago so I'd like to think they are still in the pre-production phase. I'm sure that if this indeed comes to pass we'll hear all about it.

EDIT:  ...aaaaand ToP once more:

Dayumm...Kaidan can even make dog tags look smexy!
