Yea bummed that we don't get it either.  But I think I prefer it that way, Shepard and Kaidan have been at ends with each other since Virmire. But following Mars him and Shepard really start to connect and finally find each other in the end. To me, it makes the s/s Kaidan scene on the beam run the best because it's so sincere and sad because he finally find love and than has to say good bye

Yeah, as a faithful ME1 Kaidan lover, Kaidan actually declares A LOT to FemShep. I don't know much about FemSheps who didn't choose him from ME1, i know they can still romance him from ME3 (but quite frankly, I couldn't care less, cause you know, it's their loss if they were blind enough to pass a Kaidan opportunity ).

I thought that mSheps did get the "I've always loved you through all these years" line, cause I thought it would make sense since he was suppose to have refrained from ME1.

But to me, yeah, that extra ILY is really out of line.

the S/S reward is the 'I'm going to fight like hell to hold you again' line from London. Otherwise Nothing else really.

You know what the crazy part is? There are certain lines that they had Meyer voice over that are completely in contradiction to anything close to reality. In one of the conversations with Liaria, Mark voices over a line something to the effect that 'no thanks, I'm a woman, so I'm not interested' there are one or two other lines throughout the game that were voiced over in mark's voice even though the lines are clearly for a female gender character.

As much as I want the Kaidan hoodie I would never wear it in public so if I did buy one it would only be to support the character and maybe wear it around the house in the winter. Where would you guys wear it?

I would wear it... everywhere. I might buy a second one as a backup with the other is dirty infact.

I thought the M!Shep/Kaidan love scene was insanely erotic for the main fact that it was Kaidan who was the aggressor. For practically all of the ME franchise my Sheploo was taking charge of everything; But in that one scene it looked like Shep was genuinely surprised as well - I could detect a hint of a "Kaidan, what's got into you?" look as Kaidan pushed him onto the bed.

+1.. although.. the line 'and there are benefits to that happyness' and that devilish look that followed kind of created the ground work for that I think.

Maybe I wrong too but when you're in the security room after you get past the cafeteria, when liaria asks you what keeps you going and you response is the upper one shep will stare @ Kadian to suggest Kadian is what keeps shepard going. And I think that the scene right after you enter the base is different too?

Or maybe I'm just wishfully thinking. I haven't played a NG+ ME3 shepard since launch.

I'm quite pleased with not hacking in a romance in ME. I don't really feel like we're missing out in ME3 compared to those who started a romance in the first game.

She got PLENTY of screen time in ME3.  You were forced to take her on 3 whole missions, not to mention all the Normandy and Citadel dialogue she got.  I think I'm all good on Liara for a while.

Yeah, I love Liara in ME3.

They had the actors voice all of the lines.

With the system they had at the time, it would have been too much work to go through and separate them, so they just gave the actors the entire script for Shepard (both genders) and recorded every single line.

I just think the arc is really special.

We get the unrequited love (and insane sexual tension) of ME, the heartbreak and betrayal of ME2, and the tentative establisment of romance in ME3. Kaidan's not trying to see if you're still the same person he loved—he's trying to see if you're still the same person. He still has feelings for Shepard (even though they've never expressed them), but he doesn't know if that Shepard even exists anymore. And then after getting injured, and with the situation being so bleak, he finally takes a chance once he realizes that Shepard is still the same man he respects and cares for.

It may not be so sappy, since it's implied that they basically jump each other after that, but the story as it is is touching and unique. And then it culminates with their farewell on the run to the beam, where Shepard gets to tell Kaidan that he loves him and to say goodbye.

I don't think it's something we'll ever see again, because I think the future Kaidan will be available to both genders from the start.

I played a NG+ with a s/s Kaidan romance. I don't think he looked at Kaidan during that scene.

I'm making a save before I select a romance, so that I can always return and romance either Miri, Kaidan, or Cortez.

If Shepard is gay, he waits for Kaidan always. This is my favorite, because it creates a lot of emotional turmoil, especially since none of the feelings he has for Kaidan can be expressed in ME, and in ME2, the possibility of having lost Kaidan for good is something that can really affect him during the mission (especially the various points where he gets to talk about Kaidan with TIM and Anderson, and of course the frantic dash through Horizon to try to save Kaidan once he learns that he's there, and the way their reunion is so strained).

If he's not gay, he romances Ashley or Liara or is simply too focused on the task at hand to get involved in a relationship.

I never romance anybody in ME2. I never took to any of the new characters, and Tali is like a little sister to Shepard.

Yay, just finished Citadel mission. Kaidan didn't die \\o/. Had to charm him after Udina showed him the doctored footage of Shepard 'shooting' the councillor. I really hate that mission, my heart just races constantly, and I'm always conviced I've done something wrong and that Kaidan will die. Also I couldn't help it and my Shepard dumped Liara, Jack and ran off with Kaidan, when I eventually play my main Liara romance save, I'll have to make sure I lock-in the romance with her before talking to Kaidan, because how can you say no?

Now a little rant about the awful pacing in this game sometimes. After the coup it gives you a bunch of cool things to do, all the chats in your cabin, then just one mission afterwards you get all the awesome citadel dates. After you do them all, you get hardly anything for the remainder of the game, which is a long time. I just feel like they could have split them up a bit more.

My Sheps always fall for Kaidan...
I don't know if my broShep will be able to resist him. I guess he will romance no one in ME2 until Kaidan.

u have  quite alot of saves, but mine mostly consist of kaidan or garrus, i prob have 1 of jacob (to test that romance out, never completed it in me3 tho got to where he dumped me and romanced kaidan. got 1 of thane, not completed and romanced kaidan hehe. also got 1 of miranda (got to just before the cerberus base in me3), 1 of tali (rannoch), 1 of ash completed it the other day. cortez completed.


also right now i can go to collectors base on my live stream w00t, you missed tali and legion quests hehe.
but i am in need of food ,then i will play again. if u would liketo come just pop in. i maybe spamming it but i have an empty room and i am sooo lonely.

It's always been Kaidan for my M!Shep. One playthrough I did have Steve as an LI but I while I liked some parts of Steve's story (his breaking down listening to his husband's voice while in the shuttle bay and when you meet him for drinks at Purgatory), the overall relationship felt empty - I mean come on - saying goodbye to him via holo-call?

When I first got ME1 I did play a modded Shepard so he could romance Kaidan. Since then, I've always played unmodded MaleSheps - I think it brings more depth to his story; namely the fact that he does have feelings for Kaidan but cannot act upon them. That is why he does not actively persue any romances in both ME and ME2. As was stated earlier it feels more 'real' when they both can confess their true feelings for each other in ME3.

On a side note, just for grins I wanted to create armor for Shepard that would compliment Kaidan's blue armor. I had him wear it after the romance scene as sort of a 'yep, we're together' kind of statement. For your approval:




I did leave the red stripe since it's a major part of Shepard's "look". Enjoy!

Yeah I thought this too, was quite disappointing really. Wasn't he supposed to die on Earth no matter what you did? Maybe they didn't have time to put into the London 'hub' part when they changed their mind.
