It works best for Kaidan with his eyebrows and forehead texture, and the way his mouth can naturally look pouty with very little animation. It's really heartbreaking when he does it, but some of the others can look a little silly.

My head-canon is that they created the scene for Kaidan and then had to use it for everybody else because they ran out of time.

I think they have seperate animations for others, with the exception of Kaidan/James and Liara/Ashley/EDI(?) do to the very similar facial structures. Garrus has mandibles. Javik can't show expression on his face easily. And Tali doesn't even need to show expression, she expressed her stuff through voice.

I just watched EDI's goodbye and it was...heartbreaking. "This unit is disposable Shepard!" *BRB MOR FEELZ*

My Sheps always fall for Kaidan...
I don't know if my broShep will be able to resist him. I guess he will romance no one in ME2 until Kaidan.

The very first time I played through the game series I ended up saving Ash and romancing Tali, because I always liked how mysterious and shy Tali was, and I felt Ash was a better soldier than Kaidan. Once I learned that I could have a s/s interest with Kaidan I immediately replayed through all the games so I can have that. 

And I wouldn't have it any other way. Once I learned more about Kaidans past and that in the end I'll wait for him, no other LI seems proper for me.

I'm working through my first playthrough using a mod s/s save from ME1. I romanced Kaidan, then stayed single during ME2. The picture of Kaidan in the cabin was a good way to deter any romance. Both Miranda and Tali attempted lol. 
Now playing ME3 again

Now playing ME3 again 

I never got Miranda, but I got Tali and Jack both vying for me in my ME2 playthrough. Jack was pretty blunt by never talking to me again and telling  me to "**** Off!" anytime I tried to. Tali got so sad, I amost wanted to do something, but I decided to remain truthful to Kaidan. 

How was is the s/s ME1 mod doing? I would like to do it similiar for my xbox version, but I kind of like it how it is now.

EDI's was one of the sadder ones.
IMO the top three saddest are Kaidan, Tali, and EDI.

EDI's was one of the sadder ones.
IMO the top three saddest are Kaidan, Tali, and EDI.

Garrus is a tie between heartwarming and saddest for me. I agree with the above though.

It was a hard call. I was sure I was doing synthesis going in, knowing kind of what happens but not being aware it would kill Shepard (I knew some bits of endings, but not all). Then, I figured out Shepard would die, and after seeing Kaidan's don't leave me scene... Yeah. I had to do destroy. Sad. But the thing about synthesis that also bugged me a little is the idea of rewriting everyone's DNA... seemed to take away their choice in the matter. Then again, no matter what, someone's choice was taken away I suppose.

All that aside: ME3 Kaidan romance has left me with so many fic opportunities it's insane.

I am in need of Shenko fanfics. They are all so good that I go through them so quickly...I need moaar.


I did feet bad about sacrificing them, but looking at the other choices, I figured destroy had the least...worst consequece. Rewriting every single race's DNA seemed too much for me (plus it was sacrificing one race vs the whole galaxy being chaged/affected).

Control is what my Renegade Shep is going for. I think it fits her pretty well (she isn't in a romance with Kaidan, so I won't have to deal with the "don't leave me behind" line).

Since I chose Destroy I only have my head canon of how they find each other and the years they spend with each other. And I thought of a fairly nice funeral scene for both, atleast it's nice to me.

Well that too, but it was mostly the pouty mouth.  He was just begging me to make him smile
