I think they could have made Destroy bittersweet even if they did include full scenes of Shepard being rescued. They could have shown Shepard reuniting with the crew but also show the consequences of the Geth and EDI being destroyed by the Crucible. Because otherwise you don't really see a result of that other than EDI's name on the memorial wall. Basically I just want any excuse to see a reunion with Kaidan and still fulfill Bioware's need to make us feel sad!

Screw that, I want Kaidan to blast away rocks on the Citadel till he finds Shepard, and the two of them will damn weel drink lager on that damn balcony over looking the English Bay till the day they die.

I am in need of Shenko fanfics. They are all so good that I go through them so quickly...I need moaar.


I did feet bad about sacrificing them, but looking at the other choices, I figured destroy had the least...worst consequece. Rewriting every single race's DNA seemed too much for me (plus it was sacrificing one race vs the whole galaxy being chaged/affected).

Control is what my Renegade Shep is going for. I think it fits her pretty well (she isn't in a romance with Kaidan, so I won't have to deal with the "don't leave me behind" line). 

I've been sitting around with a migraine all day, so pretty much the only thing I've been able to do is sit around and think about stuff to write. Both Shenko fic and some of my original stuff (I'm working on some journal entries for my poor paramedic who I'm abusing too much lately, but I keep telling him that his boyfriend will make it all better, that the torture is temporary!).

Since I didn't leave a review I'll second here that I read them and they were both aaaawweeesome.

I had no idea at first Cortez was a LI option, since on my very first walkthrough I was Kaidan obsessed and took the shortest path in-game to him (ME2 in that respect was 10 days of torture during which I felt like a drug addict - not that it's not still the case anyway...), so I missed a lot of dialogues with Cortez and didn't think the character's story could be so developed.

But then on my second "real" playthrough, I got all the grieving story and realized he was a romance option for maleShep and watched on youtube. I too feel it's kind of weird, making him grieve, steal war assets from him, get him drunk and have him in bed. I think the story is nice, but the timing too wrong, it's a bit rushed ("OK, can we bang now?").

Actually, I would have preferred to have had that night instead of the Cerberus one, cause you know, it's been too long since Ilos...  Which doesn't fit with Kaidan's line for the drink dialog since he says (about their first night before Ilos) "Yeah, I was pretty spectacular (goofy look)... if I remember right (predatory look with predatory Sbarge's voice).". But well, you just do with what Bioware gives you I guess

To quote Kaidan in the fic (paraphasing):

 Shepard approves and likes the way he thinks.

you know. I have to give Vega's V/O actor credit.. He was given a ****ty character that was supposed to just be filler and play the dumb marine role and he turned it into a character that has personality and has a decent amount of depth.

If you have strong feelings for someone, even if that person doesn't share them, they won't go away overnight. Kaidan loves Shepard, even if that Shepard is with someone else, so I don't think that reaction is too wrong. Also agree with assessment of Vega - I went into the game expecting to hate him, but he was really well acted and was very likeable.

At first when I read his letter "Do you even remember that night before Ilos?", I was like, "whaaaaaat, what about the following ones???", don't tell me they didn't manage to squeeze a little lovin' in between 'em geth expeditions??"

That's funny, I never thought about that, the fact that her scars were gone because of the Lazarus Project and so on. I read a fanfic about that first night once, it was pretty emotional and then, well, it just became rightdown steamy  Gotta find the link...
