... I can't imagine that happening to me ... The guy knows me so well, I try my best to avoid playing in front of him, he'd probably put me in a mental institute at once.

I try best to avoid playing while husband is at home and not sleeping either, but that's because he works a lot and has a lot of buisness trips etc, not because I hide something. Though, I doubt I'd run cerberus or Ilos in his presence, not that he'll be jealous, but why disturb good man. But sometimes it's hard to resist, and it looks something like "honey, you look sooo tired...why aren't you going to sleep?"

He does not play videogames at all, and I'm happy with that. Because it's good to have someone that can keep you "offline" for a while. He knows it's something of my own, he knows RP matters to me, but does not interfere. I may even discuss few things with him, including romance existanсe in videogames, how could men and women feel about this feature, how hard it is to make "perfect" romance, but no details.

Now I play on the PC so I'm not playing while food is cooking. Most of the time.

That's why I luv my multicooker. And there are a lot of things (including playing) I can do while food is cooking..<-)

And to add some Kaidan-related stuff. Here's a question that bothered me few days ago. How do you think, when Kaidan and Shep marry, which one is supposed to change a surname (if anyone)? Major Shepard? Commander Alenko?.. Especially interesting to hear from BroSheps, really. 8P

Not 100% sure how it works over there in MEU (yeah, they don't put such stuff in codex), but in my country both can pick either of surnames, if they wish, or leave it as was. And in any moment you can change it, if you wish(takes some paperwork, though).

I would say they would hyphenate it. Everyone in the Galexy knows Shepard's name. Its an icon. I can't see Alenko wanting to change that and Shepard doing the same.

Oh, how could I froget about double-surname options! Yes, it's also possible.

But from my femshep's point - she'd keep her old one (for a while), not to keep icon alive, but to make life less complicated if they still share same service. I mean... if she ever gets her "major", how would they know which one is addressed? 8P

I was just talking about my personal experience, my Shepard being a woman, and here in France, gay marriage is not official, it's more of some kind of legal contract, that's all, didn't intend to be "selfish" in anyway, sorry
Anyway, marriage is overrated, too , as I said, I don't picture them getting married at all. Now, nobody, including myself, gives a f... about French institutions, but since Nrieh said "but in my country", I thought i would enlight in that perspective.

Oh god. I hate that same issue with a fic I was trying to write. I was going to have Shepard split into a Brother and a Sister with one being more Renegade driven and the other more Paragon driven and they could debate between eachother the issues and ete and I had some great plans for later.

Only thing that stopped me was a week spent on trying to figure out how two Commander Shepard's would be addressed. *facepalm*

I already have something like that going on. In my signature, its called 'Duet Effect'.
And I solved the issue by having the Paragade Shepard being called 'Commander Shepard' and the Renegon Shepard being called 'Commander Katelyn' (her first name).

I solved the issue by having the Paragade Shepard being called 'Commander Shepard' and the Renegon Shepard being called 'Commander Katelyn' (her first name).

I'd follow Legion's way and call one of those "Shepard Commander" 8P

Anyway, I'm just seeing this in my mind, how ex-Shep and Alenko are making fun of all those poor Lts (and admirals... hehe) if they share same surname <-)

I remember when my husband and I finally got married after around 5 or 6 years I was expecting some sort of formal form to change my name but nothing formal anywhere. You just hold up the marriage certificate to the bank, to other places, and say you're changing your name. Felt so unofficial it was strange. That was in the UK, for reference.

While I wouldn't see Shepard and Kaidan getting married as a riding into the sunset thing, I could roll with it if they decided to make their relationship public and needed to formalize it so that they could continue to be together somehow in a legitimate way, what with regs and all that. Assuming they both remain in the Alliance, of course.
