Lol......... He is very believable, I think that's the thing, he... as a character is written well, though the romance could do with a bit of tweaking and a bit more of a proactive Kaidan, iyswim?

Geeze, BioWare, you couldn't have stuck in a lousy autosave right before the big Kaidan talk and right after the boss??? The game designers must get off on frustrating the fangirls. Either that, or they need a women-gamer consultation board.

LOL, no kidding! I just couldn't deal with the non-stop fighting just to explore every single dialogue option available for the Horizon conversation so I spent a lot of time looking at youtube videos of other people's Horizon encounter and wrote down the missing lines as I found them. I still have that notebook, phew. Horizon is coming up soon on my current playthrough. =p

Wish I did! (I let a few bad apples from the earlier thread kill my enthusiasm. Just got really tired of the Alistair bashing and the cross thread trolling.) There's been an amazing amount of creativity and artwork that resulted from the Zev thread. Props to 'em.

Though, I've only been involved there off and on for about the last six months or so. About the time I discovered they had my fic pimped in the OP.

Speaking of... should we pester Teen to do that for the Kaidan fics?

Back on topic, I always felt like LotSB was creepy. To me, it felt like my Shep wanted Liara when I pick the paragon options. I was worried she was gonna cheat on Kaidan for a second. And at the end, she's like "come back, Liara" umm no thanks.

It's really obvious at this point BW treats Liara as the 'canon' LI. LOTSB and Genesis comic both have these not-so-subtle "Pssst! Pick Liara! She's the perfect girlfriend for you!" hints lol

I guess we just have to keep nudging........ OR just leave her to do lots of lovely NEW Kaidans

Ah, didn't know about that......... I was pretty late to the Zev party..... But once I got there I partied hard 

I don't like character bashing either, I haven't seen any on there maybe it is time to go back?  I don't like seeing all the Ash bashing, that upsets me, I love Ash.... 
I think though, long term Kaidan fans are a stubborn breed, we've had to be... Jacob fans are lovely too, because you learn to stick together when you are the brunt of all the jokes.... 
Kaidan himself helped set the tone for the Kaidan threads though, he is tolerant and patient and rises about petty differences

That's the reason why my favourite shepard didn't invite Liara to the Normandy. It was too romantic for me - i didn't want this.

@Sia and Jenova -- Oh, it was maybe a year and half ago in the original thread, which eventually got too long and too off-topic and thus locked (other LI threads met the same fate). The subsequent threads was much better in tone and there was a different crowed at that point, but by then I felt the warden + Zevran (and the others) were just done in the DAO universe. Currently more focused on Fenris atm! =p

It's funny, throughout all that, the only LI sig I sported was for Kaidan. I know the romance is not as in depth as the ones in DA, but there's just something about how Kaidan is connected in all three games, how it's an ongoing romance saga. I just absolutely love the drama of that. I love how the first game is a "falling in love" sort, the second game is the conflict that threatens to tear them apart (with the option of that actually happening, too), and the third game is (hopefully) love conquering all. =p Sheesh, that was so sappy, wasn't it? LOL,

No, no, not sappy ~ I agree..... it feels like a love story unfolding... I think VS love story is the true love story in ME 'verse..... It has all the elements of a good movie... girl meets boy, they tentatively fall for each other, something bad happens and there are misunderstandings and they can't/won't be together which will make their eventual reunion all the sweeter  
Or we are both sappy.......... either way....
