Not a Kaidan fangirl at all, I've Virmired him every time, but that is just so wrong. I hope this is just a rumor.

And come ON... not everyone in the future can be bi. That's just ridiculous. There should be a good mix of all three, or there's nothing special about the choice.

But what am I saying... destroying the meaning of the choice is the name of the game in ME3.

We don't know if this is true... only the OP can confirm some of that.
What bothers me is that it's totally believable.
As I said, I don't know if Bioware are very good at knowing their fanbase, and even if they are, do they really care about minority players such as straight women, femShep players or people who romanced ME2 characters?

Wow, haven't open this thread for a very long time and then I got to see that rumor from Enigma O.o' which made my head hurt a lot!! >=O
If that news is true then I'm really REALLY done with Bioware! But since it's not officially out yet then maybe it's still not too late to whack things up and make some REALLY LOUD noise to make them change their mind. Maybe send them lots of fem!Shep-Kaidan fan art, flood their twitter and pester 'em >=\\

Btw from the Romance DLC thread, they're doing a new survey on Survey Monkey and the results will be sent to Bioware (survey ends on the 12th July). So, vote in for our fave Biotic and make your self heard

He says they don't hear enough from straight females and the vs in general isn't that popular to begin with. He also says nothing has been decided for certain yet and half the team don't want it and that he is not part of the deciding team but that they have a lot of dlc planned and limited money. If this is true then I am done with Bioware! Even though the game is done and everything, there is lots of dlc on the way and this is not fair!

Hopefully I will have more info as time passes and I will post them here!

I am actually betraying my friend here so I hope they don't find out who he is.... :-(

I'm having a hard time believing that you're not trolling this thread, but on the off chance you're not, is it possible that your friend is having a go at you, and just wants to make you upset?

This really does sound ridiculous, and I don't even see how making Kaidan "purely gay" is possible.  I would even go so far as to say that if you are making this up, you're being really offensive, and I hope this isn't the case.

I'm actually thinking about alerting the mods to this, so if you want to change your story now, this would be a good time.  I'm really not interested in someone trying to stir up trouble between FemShep and MaleShep Kaidan romance fans in this thread.

EDIT > plus, whether it is true or not, it does not look like trolling to me at all. It may have not been the best move to post this without being sure of the accuracy, but that doesn't mean it's trolling.

by all means i would love more Kaidan content...

I can see people turning this "rumor" into an argument/debate about whether Kaidan's romance is "better" for male or female Shepards.  

Also, the whole "bisexual means he's really gay" thing makes my skin crawl.  Kaidan loves Shepard, no matter the gender.  Full stop.  It is rude and offensive to make up stories about the writers wanting to "stop" the femShep romance because the romance is "better" as the m/m version.   

I'm really hoping that the poster was just having their leg pulled by a friend, and isn't making things up.  But it sounds really, really suspect.

Relax people. The rumor's not true. Don't split the ship people. We all love Kaidan here. I've been seeing this more and more, even on tumblr. People saying one is better than the other. Why bother even saying that? It's just to stir up trouble.

They killed off Krios so then all that's left is Garrus? Not gonna happen.

After the ending fiasco, do you guys really think Bioware would alienate more of their fans? I seriously doubt this is even on their list of things to do in a DLC.

I actually seriously doubt a romance DLC is on their list of things to do either  though <_<

I really don't see Bioware making exclusive romance DLC.
But then, they actually have done so many things I just couldn't quite imagine.
The sheer possibility to actually skip dialogues or combat and alter the gameplay from ME3 to suit your needs sounded heretic to me, and yet they did it.

So in the case they actually would issue romance DLC - and quite frankly, with all the surveys and polls going on, the fan initiatives expressing their love, etc., i'm starting to wonder if they would not consider this as an easy money bet - well, this, as I said, is really believable to me.
 
Now as a straight woman, I didn't wait for this rumor to be (really) upset by the way Kaidan's sexual character was handled and to voice it, but I blame Bioware, not male gay fans!

Sorry, enigma but unless there is an official response from BioWare I'm not buying it.

To have BioWare even consider Kaidan being exclusively gay would be an insult to each and every female Mass Effect player. And as much as I love having the chance for my male Shepard to finally romance Kaidan, it's totally and completely wrong to have it happen at the expense of female Sheps.

Thanks for your input but it sounds as if your "friend" is trolling by proxy -- and that can only turn out very, very badly.

Yeah this whole thing just sounds ridiculous. How would they even go about making him a totally gay character when the games are pretty much finished now and we've only got a few more DLCs to look forward to. That would be a bizarre time to retcon a character.

But after seeing what they did to the Thane-mance, Jacob-mance and their previous statement of 'All LI's are equal' kind of thing.. Yeah.. ' I guess I'm more inclined to believe the bad news. That way, when it turns out to be wrong I can breathe easy and laugh at me being paranoid =P
